PINK

I was so happy last weekend not having a mile long list looming over my head!  And seriously.....every morning when I walk out to my kitchen I smile 'cause I'm a happy girl and feel so lucky to have such a beautiful space to not cook in:)

Of course the fun is over and I am back to work trying to play catch up.  This whole post started when I saw an ad in a magazine for Lacefield Designs new pillows!

They were this blushy mauve color....

Did I miss something?  Is it back?

I know Pantone tried to bring it back a while ago and I seem to remember that we were all standing around scratching our heads.....

I did see these rugs which were slightly more pink!

That got me looking for "pretty in pink" rooms and accessories.

Nothing like a good rabbit hole to get me distracted!

I saw these at Wisteria....on deep gray walls maybe?

I think my favorite pairing with pink would be grays and greens.

I saw this door and swooned.....

The color of this house did the same thing:)

Which then prompted me to search for a few grown up rooms using pink that I could live with....

Funny how I started out with mauve and ended up with pink....

I couldn't find many.....but THEN I SAW THESE....

Now your talking....Jayne Mansfield's house in Life Magazine.

Shagalicious!

But wait....hold the door people cause I stumbled across this bunch of prettiness!

Suzanne Kasler nailed it.  I could definitely hang in this room with what she described as "shell pink".

I can stop now.

Enough talk about pink.  Gotta walk Cami and get to work!

TAYLOR BURKE HOME

What a week.....I had great plans to get to Discover ADAC for all of the festivities but dang if work did not get in the way.

One thing that wasn't working for me was the humid rainy weather.

The top of my head looked like a "chia pet" and I just could not manage it. Crikey...... all of you straight hair girls just piss me off.

Whatever....enough complaining.  I did manage to get to the opening of the Taylor Burke Showroom Wednesday night.

I had about a glass and 1/2 of wine [thanks Jill Mckenzie] and did everything short of dancing on the ottomans.  I guess I need to get out more.

Julianne Taylor is adorable.  She had on these black shoes with pink bows on the back and I wanted them.

I took some pictures but I think my wine consumption might have caused me to regret that task as I look back.

I pulled a few from their Instagram page.

Oh heck.....we are amongst friends so here are a few snaps.

The showroom also carries accessories from Times Two Designs.

I loved hearing Lauren Renfrew's story of how she came up with her signature lamps.

And this is news....
The showroom also carries exclusive Lacefield for Taylor Burke Home!
Hello big fat trim on the sides......

I loved this ottoman...

Don't lie....you want it all huh?

In other news this hardware from the Matthew Quinn Collection was installed and it just made me giddy.  Can you even......?

If you live on the East coast.....better get Netflix and be prepared to binge watch something this weekend....cause Joaquin is not playing......

Guess what's coming up next week?  It starts with an O and ends with a C.  Yup.

THIS AND THAT

I have a cold.

It sucks.

But.....life goes on and it was a busy week.

I had to pick out tile for 3 bathrooms.

This might be the master and I want the vanity feet to look like this...which I saw the other day and I am totally ripping off.

So there.

I had to go to the mart and look for a few things....among them some pillows for a covered porch.
So I ran into J Douglas Living and tore up the Lacefield booth to come up with a gray and navy plan.

Done and ordered.

A friend of mine is going to a ball and needed an outfit.  She tried on these shoes and I have to say they were like the glass slippers from The Wizard of Oz.  Dang y'all....gorgeous but not cheap.

I was also cruising ADAC and got a glimpse of the new Miles Redd collection for Schumacher.

Go here to check it out!

And back to the mart.... while I was in J Douglas Living I saw some great accessories and lighting from Arteriors

And a new collection from Jay Jeffers.....

If you aren't familiar with Jay's work let me show you some.....

Wowza.....right?

I was supposed to go to an industry party last night for Atlanta Magazine Home [ preview the new issue ]with my friend Lisa Mowry but I had to text her saying I had a cold and did not have the energy to overhaul my looks [wash hair, makeup and outfit].  I know y'all understand that challenge.

This is a great new addition to the world of shelter magazines and you can now follow them on Instagram

Alrighty then.....it is still a work day so I better get going and chug some Dayquil.
