COLOR

Color....Color....Color!

For a girl who doesn't use much of it in my own home..... nothing photographs better than a little color.

While I was in NYC at the show I ran into a few companies that know how to do it right.

First up is Jill Rosenwald.

Jill got her start showing her ceramics at the ACC craft market in West Springfield, Ma.  Now she has lamps, rugs and bedding in her collection.

Here are some images of her ceramics....

Vases.....

More awesomeness.....

Then I rounded the corner [almost on the last row of nine miles] and saw this.....

Holy DIY.....
You guys remember when I posted this picture on Instagram?

It was from an ice cream shop in Boulder, Co.

Shaboom....this is the company where you can get all of this crazy stuff!

Although my ADD takes over when there are so many selections......I love this idea with all of my heart.  It's like candy.

I just got back into working out this week [after taking a week off while I was at the beach].  You know how it goes....you take one day then that becomes 3 and so on.

Lord I wanted to poke the instructor in her eyes until she screamed in mercy [at Orange Theory] yesterday.  My legs felt like they were cinder blocks.

That will teach me.

GUILDERY

It might shock some of you to know that I have never been to Costco.  I hear my friends talking about it all the time but there's just 2 of us living in this house so in my mind it just didn't make sense to buy in bulk.

Fast forward to the other day when I was leaving my last appointment and I was faint from hunger.  It was about 4:00 and I was passing Costco.  I swerved into the parking lot on 2 wheels because I had also heard stories of snacks at every corner.

I practically ran up to the counter to join......  grabbed my cart and headed to the food area.  Good Lord people it was nirvana.  Cute people with hair nets and blue smocks pushing food like there was a contest.  I tasted everything and even had to circle the cheesecake with strawberries and whip cream 3 times until the line went down.

What really amazed me was that after I gorged, paid for my items I came across this.

Food you have to pay for.  That was weird to me cause there is free food all over the place.

I  bounced out of there like I had just discovered gold.  Plus I was full:)  Win....win right?  Although when you think about it I just paid 55.00 for snacks.  I never said I was a math whiz.

As promised I have a few other vendors to share with you from the New York show.  I spent more time here than any other booth!

Holy smokes y'all.  The Guildery was founded by Shane Reilly [founder of Decorati] and Kelly Berger [co founder of Tiny Prints acquired by Shutterfly].

Bottom line.....any pattern in any color on  Belgian  linen, sailcloth, cotton twill and others.

It is mind boggling and of course my ADD set in so I was frozen and could not make a decision.

Some of their designers include Lindsay Coral Harper.

Becki Owens

Are you dying yet?  Well hold on to your hats.  There are 3 pages of collections....

Plus.....wallpaper.

Here are three I put together.

I mean it's ridiculous.  The possibilities are infinity.

And....if your mind isn't already spinning you can design your own fabric.  Yep.  They pretty much covered everything.

Don't ever say I didn't hook you up.

NEW YORK

What a trip!

First of all let me just say I am not fond of flying.  I believe I have put that out there a few times before.

Here is the scenario.  Thunderstorms coming home and me grabbing a complete strangers arm during turbulence [who was about 25 years old].  You can draw your own conclusion as to what she was thinking......but I am sure it was along the lines of "crazy weirdo better let go of my arm".

Here's where it started....me with my comfortable shoes on from UGG which I found at Nordstrom's.  Stripe bag from at Gap on sale for 10.00.  I couldn't find it on their website anymore:(

The booth.....which Rose and Sudi had to set up on Saturday.  I swooped in on Sat night just in time for dinner.  Good planning on my part huh:)

She had some pretty ones right?

Steve Mckenzie's water color prints exclusive for Sudi.

After we got there Sunday morning I took off for a while to walk the isles.....9 miles of them!

It was like I imagined heaven might be.

One of the first places I stumbled across was Canopy Designs Ltd.

Holy Christmas....I almost needed oxygen.

That green one gave me the chills.  They are a boutique lighting company based in NYC where most everything is manufactured.  Merrie Shinder has been in business since 1993 and has a retail store on East 59th Street in Manhattan.

How about this gem.....
Remember when Amber used it in a DR project.

Here is another Canopy Design used in a space.
Peppermint Bliss

We went to a great place for dinner Sunday night.  Le Relais de Venise
Yum x's a 100.  All they serve is steak, french fries and a salad.

Rose, Sudi and me.

I left the show on Monday at 2:00 and arrived at the gate by 4:00.  My flight wasn't until 6:00 but everybody freaked me out about traffic.  Of course it was 2 hours late so that made for a long time at JFK.  Lucky for me I got to hang out in the Crown Room and eat a gazillion chocolate chip cookies.

Here is a picture of me in my sugar high......

Why does my hair looks like Bob's Big Boy.

I have so much more to share.  At least 8 more vendors that were new to me!

Talk later.
