TRIMS

I have written about using trim on curtains and pillows before....so this is old news.  In fact since Pinterest, Houzz, and blogs is there anything I can tell you that you don't know?

Probably not so humor me.

I can share with you some new ones that I saw the other day at ADAC.

Stout Brothers has some reasonably priced trims that are carried at many fabric stores.  I was mainly looking at flat braids so that is what you are going to get:)

This style is one of my favorites....

Of course I am always using these colors....

So then I looked for some new examples and that turned out to be a timely job....just trying to find sources!  Geez.  I love ya but "ain't nobody got time for that"....:)

Here are the ones I found before I gave up and stomped off.

Greek key trim on a solid pillow

Sherry Hart Designs

On this one I brought in some small black pleated trim using a box style.

More greek key and some ribbon trim.

Parker Kennedy Living

If it looks like all I am showing is greek key you are almost right:)

Love the detail on this box style pillow at the corners.

Mrs. Howard

More box style with braid and flat braided trim.

Samuel and Sons

Pretty monogram framed with a double greek key.

OK...so maybe this is the best example yet of the trims I showed you today!

Ivy Lane

One of my favorite pillow lines Lacefield Designs uses a lot of trims to define their pillows

I did find a pretty picture of some curtain trim...I love how delicate this is....

Things are progressing along with Cami.  I have weaned her off all drugs except for the Paxil [ my vet is going to help me with that].

I have been exercising her with 2-3 walks a day up to 3.5 miles!  She went to Dog Days for day care and did great.  Remember she has not been around any other dogs at all!

We decided to take her to the Piedmont Dog Park on Sunday....here is how that went.

Yup...the minute we got out of the car it started sprinkling but we weren't deterred....let's carry on.

We took cover and waiting 30 minutes for the rain to stop!  Because we did not believe the radar.

After...... we made it to the dog park.

Ha Ha.....here we are in the mud pit and NO dogs! Duh.....most sensible people left.

Alrighty then.....Trim and dogs.  That is a good combination right?

ASO DECORATORS SHOW HOUSE 2015

I am happy to report that my soiree went off without a hitch.

Even the weather held out which made me  pretty darn happy  because I spent all of Friday power washing every stinking piece of furniture.

My arms were so tired.

Since all I had to do was provide the venue I was not in charge of anything else.  But.....my sister ordered these little bundt cakes.  OMG.....

Little single servings of crack.  Crikey I ate one rite out of the box not even worried about whether we had enough:)

Today I have more pictures of the ASO Decorator Show House.  If you have not been there is still time!  It is open until May 10th.

Starting with one of my favorite designers Bob Brown....
I was all over this neutral room....right!

Um....this bed.

Right off the MBR was Danielle Rollins and Bill Ingram who designed the bath.

Cutest business cards ever....

It was a gorgeous room full of toile against some great wallpaper.

Living room designed by Michael Boyd.

It was so good but I had a hard time getting some decent photographs.

The dining room which was done by Randy and Dan of Boxwoods.

My good friend Vern Yip [ha ha] designed the family room and dining area.

Right off this area was the kitchen by Robin LaMonte.  I think it is important to say that she could only upgrade with paint.  I love the taupe color she picked out....it works well with the existing granite countertops.

Upstairs Patricia McLean gave us a beautiful traditional southern room.
Love this Thibaut wallpaper on the ceiling...

Then we come to Melanie Turners room....which I loved.  She kept the toile paper that was on the walls....

The green velvet window treatments were slap gorgeous!

Say hello to this fabulous room by Parker Kennedy.

The Fromental wall covering was spectacular!

I left out many rooms that I just could not get good shots of....so you will just have to go.

Alrighty....girl has stuff to do.  I'm down in Florida trying to whip this place in shape before the rental season.

2014 ASO DECORATORS' SHOW HOUSE

It's Show House time in Atlanta and yesterday I was lucky enough to preview the home.

Maybe I say this every year but hot damn it was almost more eye candy than I could bear.  Of course the fact that it was an epic day on the weather front could have helped:)

This year the historic Palazzo Rosa [one of the most recognized historic family homes in Atlanta] was chosen to showcase the talented designers.

The Italian style home was designed by architects Neel Reid and Philip Schutze in the 1920's and has been called the "Pink Palace" because of the previous stucco color and the pink dogwoods lining the driveway.

There are 5 bedrooms and 9 bathrooms with 16,000 sq feet of complete fabulousness.

This is a before shot of the house from the press package.

I took this off Instagram [#asoshowhouse]

I am going to start with the Grand Salon designed by Barbara Westbrook.

The hand painted linen walls are original to the home and they were jaw dropping...

I mean these walls are almost 100 years old!

Another favorite room was Lance and David's [Parker-Kennedy] Master Terrace.

Wowza.

For real.  They built this in the shop and then took it apart and had to re-install it.
It. Was. Fabulous.

They were sponsored by Scalmandre Fabrics.

Almost everything in the space was vintage.

I loved the mirrors....they were going to actually put in openings but ran out of time.  Sometimes the second choice becomes the best choice right?

These guys are the whole package....fun, friendly and extremely talented.  You can find them at Scott's sometimes and they are also competing in the ORC with a MBR makeover.

The kitchen and baths were renovated by Design Galleria.

Checkout the countertops

This room by McLaurin Interiors was stunning.  I was all over the yellow with the beautiful wall color [BM Pearl River].

Clay McLaurin has a fabric line now and I feel like it could become an obsession...
Pretty huh?

There is more....so much more.
I will save for Monday.

You must go.  April 26 through May 18.  Get your info here
