GREGG IRBY ART GALLERY

I have been shopping at Gregg Irby Gallery for years and every now and then when I am cruising down to the Westside I will pop in to get inspired!

They are famous for discovering promising and up and coming artist......representing about 30 different artist and spanning many different styles.

Do I have to remind you how art can change a room?

Take a look at some pictures taken from their website of installations.

If you know me then you know this is totally my style!

These are just a few of the fabulous artist they rep.

Here are a few selections that caught my eye!

I am actually working on a project right now that could use this bad boy over the mantel.

In my own home.....

Previously this gorgeous piece [one of a few originals I own].......hung over my mantel but now hangs in a bedroom.....

And my beloved swan used to hang here but has now been moved.....

Anyway you get the picture [ha ha I'm clever huh?] that a certain piece of art can make a room!

I wish I could hang longer with you today but I am off for day 2 of the photoshoot with Southern Home....yesterday was so long.....I got home at 7:30 and did over 17,000 steps!

Catch ya later.....

PROJECT #CAMERAREADYINTERIORS

Did I tell you about my photoshoot?  Oh yeah I did....in fact I blabbed about it for about 3 weeks right?  Well I got a sneak peek at the shots and y'all I am giddy with excitement.  It's a whole bunch of black and whiteness all over the pages!

Who is happy about that?

Me.

My friend Jana Bek asked me to partner with her and 23 other designers to celebrate the talent of interior photographers.  We all know that a good photographer can make a room go from ho hum to beautiful with their skills!

I have experienced that many times in my career!

I just recently worked with Anthony-Masterson [anthony.masterson on Instagram] at my house and I am smitten with the hip vibe they bring to a shoot....

I love this shot.....

This was my sister's ORC a few years back!

The first time my house was photographed for Better Homes and Gardens the beautiful and talented Sarah Dorio showed up! [Sarah Dorio on Instagram]

Seeing this makes me a little nostalgic....ha ha!

Last fall I worked with Erica George Dines [Erica George Dines on Instagram] on Michael Ladisics house for Atlanta Homes and Lifestyles.  She is the ultimate professional.

This was one of my favorite shots of the dining room.

And I loved the light on this one....

Another photographer who's skills are unmatched is Emily Followill. [efollowill on Instagram]

Just look at this beautiful shot from a showhouse a few years back.
Melanie Turner

Her book came out last year!

And last my good friend Tina Rowden [Tina Rowden on Instagram]

Tina is a wedding photographer but also does interiors.
This was one of my favorite shots from Michaels previous house.

I hope you will check out these other designers and their favorite photographers today and on Instagram #camerareadyinteriors

When I look back over some of my pitiful attempts at photography I cringe.

Just what the heck was I thinking and why did I not hire a professional?

I am making a proclamation right now to do better...be prepared and call someone who knows what the heck they are doing!

ATLANTA HOMES AND LIFESTYLES

It's no secret that Atlanta Homes and Lifestyles is my favorite magazine.

Published since 1983....after editor Clinton Smith left for Veranda..... Elizabeth Ralls took over and she hasn't missed a beat.

Every month I start on the first page and when I get to the last I slam it down....thinking how the heck can they top that in the next issue.  Then of course they do.

This month was a doozy with Courtney and Randy Tilinski's Atlanta home.  I about died.

I am going to be real quiet while you feast upon all of this perfection...

I said I would be quiet but hot damn.....

Oh mommie....after I saw this kitchen my husband had to pry the magazine out of my hands...."let go Sherry".
I mean...the windows, the shutters...the shiplap...shut it down now!

If my office looked like this I would break out in "the carlton".

They are the owners of Bungalow Classic .
All photography by the talented Sarah Dorio.

Then if that wasn't enough there was this.....
Kevin and Lee Kleinhelter's home.  The owner of Pieces.

Totally different look but just as fabulous....
Here is a shot of the kitchen
