THIS AND THAT

So I had to punish last week and put it in "time out"....it was very disrespectful and at my age I deserve better.....speaking of age....I had a little birthday.  Yup I have rolled into my 69th year.

I can not even wrap my head around it.

I.  Was.  Just.  50.  A few years ago.

Whoa....

Some pretty birthday flowers from a client!

Since I am in the middle of so many projects it's just going to be randomness today.

First up is this pretty candle I discovered.  I am sure you guys are like this but when I see a small business doing something good I get excited.

Wilkin & May make hand poured clean burning non toxic Coconut wax candles in reusable vessels. [in a black jar I might add....]

I don't know about you but I hate when a candle burns black as it gets all over everything.  I got the Mohawk St and it smells so good!

Of course I love the packaging right.....

Your welcome!

I was so excited I restyled my coffee table.....

HaHa....it's the little things right:)

I know I have shown this before but it got a little styling so I thought.....why not share again.  Cause I am all about keeping you updated right!

This client is like my spirit animal....she just gets it!

We are plugging along....and starting other areas....

This is the upstairs TV room......

Tucker likes the new rug!

Another client got some bathroom countertops...

And one of my fav chandeliers....which is wired high right now until the windows go in!

So when I am shopping for clients....I love when I run across things that catch my eye and Lord this West Elm throw did just that!  I mean are these my colors or what!

Seen right here.....Everything from Target except for the shoes which are from Madewell.  They are so comfy I wanted to see if they had them in black but it looks like they don't have these anymore....sad face.

And I might have bought this cute "shacket" from H&M.....It is oversized but I think it will look cute with leggings and boots!

Cute porch ideas....coming soon:)

I hope y'all have a wonderful weekend....It might reach 80 today in Atlanta.....which I am not 100% happy about as I would like to have a little spring weather right?

I mean it would be fun to wear a spring jacket or 2....:)

PROJECT UPDATES

Today I am showing you the rest of the latest project that I have just finished working on with Ladisic Fine Homes.....I showed you the curtain install and the kitchen already.....

This home looks big but actually all the living will happen on the first floor.  There are 3 bedrooms/3 baths upstairs with a small loft over the foyer.

Here are some pics to scroll through while you are drinking your coffee....

When you walk into the foyer from this pretty iron front door you can pretty much see straight through to the back yard and the pool.  There is one living area, a bar, one dining area, powder room, laundry room, kitchen and master bedroom and bath on the first floor.

This pretty Circa lighting sconce lights the way upstairs....

This is the amazing loft upstairs and if this was my house :) I would make this my office!  It gets so much light with all of the windows!

This shot from the top of the loft looking down to the foyer....

This is one of the bathrooms upstairs.  I ordered the vanity from Wayfair and the lights are from Generation Lighting [a division of Circa Lighting]

This is standing in the dining area looking toward the foyer....

And you can see here the iron doors leading to the back yard.....

This is the bar area....

I used a pretty Schumacher grasscloth and painted the cabinets the same as the kitchen island.....Wrought Iron.

There is an ice maker in here along with a column wine cooler.  Lot's of storage for plenty of booze:)

One of my favorite Circa Lighting chandeliers because it is gold and black!  We did a lot of mixing metals in this home!

Here you can see the dining room, kitchen and foyer.

The powder room is chugging along....I am in love with this Schumacher wallpaper....the Serena and Lily mirror and the Native Trails sink.  Still waiting on the un-lacquered brass faucet and light fixture!

A few pictures of the back yard....

And finishing up with the front exterior shots....

I am so happy with how this one turned out....

I had a great time in Athens, Georgia last weekend!  What is better than spending time with family???

The wedding was beautiful....I mean is there an ugly wedding....haha.

All outside so that made it even better and the weather was perfection!

I had to take all my OOTD shots in the lobby bathroom....I'm nothing if not classy....hee haw.

Noticing in this picture that this dress is not very flattering......it's by All Saints and swear I think it did look OK on me but just not in this shot!

It's not available any longer but here are some better  pictures of it!

I bought the purse a while back from Nordstroms [it appears no longer available]

But the shoes.....definitely available..... came from Target!  SO comfy!

I swear it makes me smile when I can get away with 30.00 shoes that don't hurt my feet!

OK kiddos......busy day so I gotta get to the gym.
Y'all are the best....in case I don't tell you often enough:)

UPDATE ON THE LADISIC FINE HOMES SPEC HOUSE

Friday again?  What....looks around....it was just Friday a minute ago.  Seriously right?

Can we just get a vaccine.....pleasssssssssseeeee?
I will decorate your whole house for free.....I will homeschool your kids and cook for you [that's not really a highlight]....but I will go pick up all the "to go orders".

Somebody?  Anybody?

Let's get on it all of you brilliant scientist!

I have some updated pictures of the "spec" house I have been working on with Ladisic Fine Homes.  I have had so much fun on this project....working with Michael and Matthew [on the kitchen] and architect Linda MacAuthur.  It's heading down the home stretch of being finished.

Get ur coffee or wine cause this post is heavy on the pictures:)

The entrance....

The house is shaped like a C....when you walk in the front door you see straight through to the pool......bar and outdoor living area.

Earlier pictures to show what you see from the foyer....

All lighting is from Circa Lighting.

Authentic Reclaimed Floors

Walking through this beautifully trimmed out  entrance to the main living and dining area....

This is the view!

If you turn around here is the view...

Through the doors is the scullery....

Color of custom cabinets is SW Tricorn Black.  Countertops are Viatera

Then through the scullery is the laundry room.

Through these doors is the master bedroom and bath.....

Master bath

Rohl faucets

The outdoor living space.  Currey and Co Lighting used in this space.

The pool with landscaping going in....

Some of the 6 bathrooms.....

Upstairs laundry

This is the main level bar that also opens to the pool and the outdoor living.

Landscaping going in.....

And the front door....

WOW....after seeing all of these together I am so happy with the part I played in the design of this home.  It always take a team.  Builders, architects and vendors doing their part to help when something isn't available or a change has to be made.

I love my job and during this time in my life it has been a refuge for me.

To be creative has always been my "happy" place so I consider myself lucky that I still have clients who trust and value my judgement.  Now more than ever.....as we stay home...... it's important that you not only love your space but you feel comfortable and safe.

Speaking of safe....I wish that for all of you.
