A LITTLE BEFORE AND AFTER

Hello friends......

I writing this from Nantucket.  I came up here to help celebrate my neighbors husbands 60th birthday.  Any excuse to come back up here right!

Of course if you saw my Instagram post on Wednesday you know that as I was in line for security I realized that I had forgotten my wallet at home and had to Uber back [30 min] get my wallet and Uber back to the airport another 30 min.  I wasn't sure I was going to make it but by some miracle I did.

I decided not to stress and I just said to myself if I make it....great and if I didn't then it would not be the end of the world.

I guess it was in the cards for me to be here.

The first night I was here I slept almost 12 hours.  That was pretty cool.....

Anyway I am going to share a bedroom that got installed a few weeks back.  It is not finished yet but its seen quite the transformation since they moved in....

The beginning....let's quickly take a look at the before.....

There was a textured wallpaper on the walls that had to be removed.

The next step was moving this bed in that was in an apartment up in Philadelphia that she acquired.

The Schumacher wallpaper went up and as you can see we barely had room for end tables but I managed to find these that are about 18" wide!

The next phase were the custom window treatments and pillows.

This is a before picture of the window area across from the bed.

And these are 2 chairs that she also inherited!

It has been years since I have done a cornice and I am loving it!

Of course it is not accessorized yet but it will be soon.....

I have picked out some pretty lamps and then I need a few trinkets to bring it all together....

So there you have it.  Honestly work is a pretty good distraction for me but my brain is definitely not a full capacity.  I am easily distracted and find that I am procrastinating on things that I need to be doing.

Ugh.

I heard a simple saying the other day.  Time takes time.  Duh right!  I mean it is so simple.

Hope you guys all have a great weekend....

Thanks so much for reading and hanging in there with me.

SCHUMACHER SPRING FABRICS

I bet you thought I went and joined the witness protection program.....no....I just had one of those days on Friday.  Happens occasionally....when I just can't get it together and I feel like my "voice" is not important.  Life.

BUT......here is an update on my BIL.  He had surgery on Friday and all went great.  They left 40% of his esophagus which is so much better than we had all hoped for!  No cancer anywhere else so now it is on to recovery.  We are all relieved.  I tell ya....the treatment was pretty rough though!

I guess you have heard that Georgia is open for business....I'm not sure how I feel about it but dang I don't want anybody to lose their business either.  Crap these are tough times.

ADAC has been closed but I got an email the other day from Schumacher with all of their new fabrics!

I had not heard of Molly Mohan but apparently she has a new collection with Schumacher and it's a "doosy" y'all.

Let's browse....

Like every good blogger I of course went straight to  the internet and Instagram to find Molly and get the scoop.

It's located in Great Britain and not only do they have great fabric but the wallpaper is pretty special also!

The fabric is hand blocked.

Pretty huh?

Who am I and where is all the black and white that you usually see here????

What can I say....it's spring!

Here is some of the collection for Schumacher!

And just because I vanished on Friday here are a few more pretty collections from Schumacher to wet your "spring appetite".....

Pay attention because it is very rare I show all of this color.....it's almost blinding:)

I sure am missing my gym....I walked 57 miles last week and I am so bored with it.  Yes.... I listen to podcasts but I find my mind wandering so much that I have to re-wind all the time.

Hope everyone is staying safe:)

SCHUMACHER FABRIC AND WALLPAPER

Hey y'all.....you may still be in a "candy coma" from Halloween :)  I think this is the first year I did not buy any candy and actually turned out my lights and hid in the bedroom.  It's not that big of deal because I normally get less than a handful of kids.

When did Halloween get bigger than Christmas?  I have heard that more is spent on decor than at Christmas time.

Crazy.

I'm coming in hot this morning with a post about black and white fabric and wallpaper from Schumacher.  In less than an hour I have to walk Cami and then get ready for 2 appointments.

So let's get to it.

It's no secret of my love for black and white.

I mean do you know me?

                     Everyone of these fabrics.

                        Are you wowed yet?

Well here are some great wallpapers!

I have used many of these.....

I love to use a pretty paper in a powder room.

I noticed this gorgeous panel wallpaper in black and white and just about spit out my coffee.....

Hubba Hubba......it's not cheap....I gotta be honest but I put it right up there with something I don't think I would ever tire of.  Speaking of that subject....I am not tired of my Pyne Hollyhock fabric and now they are bringing it out in a pretty yellow!

Why are they always taunting me:)

What's on tap for your weekend?  You wanna know something weird....I mean weird for me?  I have not stepped inside a HomeGoods in 2 months [since I returned from Boulder].  Yes that is the truth.

And I have actually spent more time in my house than ever before.  Part of it is I don't like to leave Cami alone.  She gives me those big sad eyes and I am torn.

I will say this..... I have heard from so many of you that have gone through the same thing and come out the other end happier.

Thank you..... because that is so reassuring.  It's always good to have hope isn't it?

Happy Friday peeps

THIS AND THAT

Here's the thing...I wrote this one Monday and totally forgot to post yesterday.  I guess it's official...my brain is going.

I know I just did a "this and that" post but....this one is more of a "what I've been up to" post.

What a great relaxing few days.....we had friends come in from out of town....ha ha.... they live about 25 miles away but we had a party with some mutual friends and they did not want to drive back and forth.

I am sure you might have heard about a little 10K race here in Atlanta called the Peachtree Road Race.

Well I did not partake in it but my friend did so his wife and I went up to the start to watch with Cami.

As we were walking up to the corner a policeman pulled up to pet my girl....he was a dog lover [even knew what kind of dog she was!] and pulled out some treats....so sweet.  That little delay caused us to miss seeing him run by but we knew that this was more important!

We walked the long way back thru my neighborhood to the my house and put in a total of  2 miles.

Then we decided to walk to our friends house 3 miles away to meet her husband [they live near Piedmont Park which is where the race ends].

If you are keeping track we are at 5 miles now!

I love this hydrangea tree....must get one before I die:)

They have a cat on a leash....new to me :)

Then we walked back!  Uh huh.  Total of 8.7 miles for the day.  Oh yeah by the way it was about 94 degrees.

That day [the 4th] we had the party at friends around 5.

So much fun!

They stayed until Sat afternoon....we were deep into watching The Good Fight on CBS All Access.  It is one of the best shows....the writing is top notch.

We had lunch at a new place called Little Rays [a Ford Fry restaurant].

I love this hand painted floor.....

If you are local give it a try!

Let's see what else.....
Before all of the above I was over at ADAC on Tuesday with a friend and we strolled into Romo Atlanta to check out some new fabrics.

These are all by Villa Nova and so cute!

Some of them come in wallpaper....

It's such a cute collection for kids!

Speaking of fabrics....Harbor Theory reached out to me about their fabrics and sent me some samples....check them out below...

Cuteness right?

I also fell in love with this fabric combo...who's in?  Call me and this can be your room....hahaha.
Save me from spending my money on all of these!

The last thing I will leave you with is this....
My friend Pam Sessions [who is Hedgewood Homes] completed the pool at Manchester Homes and I am in love with it.....so I now need these floors on my patio [husband....call the heavy equipment we have earth to move].

We could also throw in an oval window or 2.

It's market week in Atlanta so hopefully I will have pics of all the good stuff I see!
