Paint Party Friday....Easter Blessings to all....

Paint Party Friday ....Little Duckies.....

Hi Everyone....

As many of you know I am a huge fan of all those cute Vintage Cards and things and I love to practice my painting as inspired by some of these cute pieces....so today I am sharing a super sweet painting I just finished as inspired by some cute little duck lovers....

It is almost Spring here and I am so excited to share all the things I am creating as inspired by one of my favorite Seasons...This piece is an ink and watercolour piece and I had so much fun painting it!

Sunday Sketches...turned to watercolour bunnies....with a nod to the old days

I was all in the mood for Spring to come....so I decided to draw some cute little bunnies...and watercolour them....when I finally look out the window this morning and the rain lastnight turned to snow!!!

I am sure Spring will be just around the corner...so here is some inspiration for Spring to come soon!!!  These bunnies were inspired by some old vintage Easter postcards....I hope you love these....I will add the original mini paintings to my Etsy Shop soon......

Love will keep us together....and one Cardinal rule....

I have been working on a more bird pieces....this one is titled "love will keep us together"

It will be sad when all the birds leave for the winter....but there are some that will stick around and look amazing against the white snow here .... like the beautiful Cardinals that will feed in our backyard and be like bright red lights against the new fallen snow....

The first piece is a mixed media piece...and the Cardinal is one of my ink and watercolour pieces....

I am submitting these to Three Muses this week....theme...things with wings...

Illustration Friday - "Magnify" these babies

Hi Everyone...This week's theme is fun...I created some miniature watercolour and ink pieces and then placed them on these very cool papers....I need to magnify these so you can have a better look....I really love miniature art.....

I'm back!!! and I have so much to share with you all.....and can't wait to catch up with you....

Hi Everyone....I have missed you all so much and can't wait to catch up with you....I have been away on a secluded vacation....I have worked on my vacation because art never really feels like work to me....it is a way to feed the soul....I have so much news to tell you all...I have just finished all the work for my book that will be coming out soon!!! I am so excited as it is a manuscript that is dear to my heart....I can't wait to share more with you all....

I also have another book coming out soon with author Carla Burke...I am very excited about this project too!!!!

I have also created some original miniature paintings of women (like the lady above) and am addicted to creating miniature pieces now....they are so portable and so much fun to create....while I was away I was not connected to the world in any way and it was a nice break....I am back now and can't wait to check out all your blogs to see what you have been up to!!!!

I will post more work as the days pass and thank you all for popping in and leaving your comments on my scheduled posts!!! I love that you can schedule posts here.....I didn't want to leave my blog with no activity!!!

Who says you can't paint while you're on vacation....I love these mini watercolour and ink paintings...they are so portable and so much fun to make....I finished these on my Vacation and now they are available in my Original Painting Section in my Shop!

Every once and a while I get all inspired with my watercolours and inks...and now I have added my metalic liquid acrylics to the mix....

Mixed Media Monday - Helping Hands - My son Cole and his latest watercolour and ink pieces....and my Mother's Day Cake from Cole....

Hi Everyone...Cole and I spent Mother's day enjoying special treats and quality time together....he painted with my special inks and watercolours and I ate some cake....The top piece was looking pretty scary at first but it is my favorite painting right now....the vivid colours and the darkness looks pretty neat...and then the metallic inks really add some depth...I just ask Cole what colours he wants and I squeeze them out into his pallet....and he goes wild....I really enjoy watching him create..........

He always looks so serious when he paints.....

and also very serious when there's cake to be eaten!!! lol Maybe Cole will be in some Exhibitions...wouldn't that be wonderful!!!
