Creative Inspirations~ Pink/Black "Places To Go, People To Annoy"

Well today's card I made for Creative Inspirations challenge this week which is "Pink & Black".
I'm not normally a pink and black sort of person so I had to have a bit more fun with it and use my wicked little bugaboo digi.....yeah, isn't she great?

Check out the headlights. Cool huh? And the little pink bobble so she can find her car in the parking lot if it hasn't already been towed away.lol
My recipe:
Image: Bugaboo
Colors: Prismacolors
Dps: Mainly DCWV
Ribbon: Dashes, Dots and Checks
Punch: Martha Stewart
Bling: Recollection

And a couple of close ups....

Just a note to you all out there...
The winner of the Creative Inspirations challenge this fortnight gets 7 bugaboo digis of their choice!!
What's not to love, right? So play along and I can stop by and see you. and who knows you might be making little sassy Stellas too:-)

Oh, and another thing. I am (hopefully) at the beach when you read this so I wont be posting (unless I've programmed one or two for you) so I may be  a bit quiet for a week or so. But if the agency was being honest with us and there's wifi, I might just be able to keep an eye on all my peeps while I'm brushing sand out of my bathingsuit. lol
Take Care!

Baby Bug

Good Morning Peeps!I hope your day is going well so far. :-)
Todays card came together fairly quickly. (You gotta love sketches!) I am using a digi by Bugaboo and have colored it with my good ol prismacolor pencils. (except for the face which is done with copics.) All the rest of the supplies are by unknown makers having been in my stash for quite a while.

                                                                    A front view:

Green Acres

Hi!
Well who would have thought that such a simple looking card could have caused such grief! My favorite part was coloring the image. Just cant get enough of these funky cows. They're such fun to color. But when the pencils were put away,  it all went downhill . I lost count of how many background changes, sketch changes, border changes this took but my table became a battleground. (as you will see later). Anyway! Its done! Side view below:

Close up of the image:

And the button flower:

My recipe is:
Papers: mainly DCWV  "recycled pack"
Image: Bugaboo
Colors: Prismacolor pencils, Distress Ink, Vinatage Photo and Antique Linen
Ribbon: Offray
Buttons: from stash
3D sticky pads: Recollections
Punches: Martha Stewart

And on to the battleground!

Is it not insane the mess you can create with one lousy card?!
Ah well. It was fun. :-)

I would like to enter this in the following challenges:

Totally Papercrafts: Movie inspiration  " Green Acres"

Bugaboo Tribute Song ( LOL)

Hi!
Well I have to say, Bugaboo has been so good to me. I just won 3rd place in the Catch The Bug challenge and so was able to pick out two free digis. I was so happy that I started  humming. Can you guess what? Click under the Bugaboo Badge and let me serenade you.

PS) Don't go giving me the stink eye three days from now when the song is still stuck in your head. :-)

Hugs All,
Dorcas

Live Laugh Love

It occured to me that my cards recently have been of the somber sweet nature and while that's all well and fine, I didn't want to risk being pigeon holed as a soppy romantic. (Something my friends know that I am definately not! lol.) I decided it was time to shake things up a bit! It didn't take much deliberation to choose this insufferable character from Bugaboo! lol Isn't she great? I often turn to Bugaboo when I want a good diversion from sweet little kids, teddy bears and tea parties. I even dug out of my scrap bin this tooth achingly acid-sweet pink paper for the background. Here's a front view:

Aah yes, the woman herself. When I see this old lady I think of my grandmother "Nanny Nan" the "Queen Of The Red Hat Society"! lol Only my grandma looks a little more friendly in her dollar store dress up red plastic hats and feather boas. She'll do anything for a laugh. Rather like someone else we all know and love! Hahaha  But anyway back to the card!

C'mon  woman, smile! It keeps your teeth in place!

My recipe is:

Image: Bugaboo digi
Colors: Prismacolor pencils
Paper: a bit of everything
Flower: My own conglomerate creation
Sentiment: Bugaboo
Bradz: so old the company is probably out of business
Embossing Folder: Cuttlebug
Stitching: Machine done

Below is a close up of the sentiment and flower:

Oh! By the way. I ran into some trouble when my daughter admired my card this morning. She didn't "get " the joke. "What are depends?", she asked. Well, that would depend  in what part of the world you hail from! Here in the US depends are diapers. Adult diapers if we're being proper.
Oh dear, that just reminded me of the occasion I had to buy some "depends" for my mother inlaw who we were caring for with ALS. She had lost so much weight I didn't know what size to get and lets face it its embarassing buying adult diapers. So first I went to Walmart to see if I could find some normal kids diapers that were for larger kids (as there's lots of large toddlers in the states ) so that I wouldn't have to humiliate myself in the adult diaper section. As I was analizing all the larger diapers a woman beside me asked,   (people in the states are quite friendly)  " so how old is your kid?
 " Seventy four",  I said..

I was back to square one. the diapers didn't fit and I had to go out and buy real adult diapers. I chose a small pharmacy that I reckoned didn't get much business and who kept their adult diapers on the far wall where no one would notice me. It was bewildering! Who would have thought there were so many? I felt like a man in a tampax aisle. I must have paced that aisle a hundred times. And horror or horror, here comes this nicely dressed old lady to get something herself. She stops short when she sees me and says, "Honey, don't tell me you need these already!"

In the end she helped me find what I wanted as she "had expeience." :-)

I would like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Bugaboo: Summer
Frosted Design: Lyrics "Live Laugh Love" by Clay Walker
Crazy 4 Challenges: Photo Inspiration
Sentimental Sundays: fun and games, humor.

Beach Babes

I love things that make me laugh. A good, hearty belly shaking laugh. These old folks from Bugaboo stamps do it everytime. I think of all the quips I could put with them and just get laughing at my own silliness. Below is maybe a clearer frontal view of the card I put together last night:

I used the following:
Image Bugaboo
Colors Prismacolors and copics (for skin)
Papers Assorted
Ribbon Dashes and Dots
Sentiment a variation of the sentiment that came with the digi which was "At my age I can wear whatever I want"
3Dimentional sticky pads
Stitching machine done
A close up of the beach babes.... I just love his belly and speedo. So gross. And all the hog hair on their legs. lol And the "cool" hawaiin shirt...so funny

Close up of the ribbon detail...

And the stitching/sentiment on the upper left corner.

I made this using the themes from the following challenges:
Paper Play Sketch
Allsorts Summer Days
Bee Crafty At the Beach (using a digi)
Hope you have had a good chuckle. :-) Come back tomorrow and I might embarass myself further! I might actually get into a bathing suit! LOL (just kidding. I wouldn't do that to you all)

I Said What?..

I just love these digis by Bugaboo!! They have so much quirky character. :-) I have colored the image with Prismacolors and "goo gone" for blending. The papers are assorted from my stash and the sentiment from my own sick mind. The pearls are Recollection. And the stitching was done on a full size sewing machine. Here is a close up of the loving couple:

Hahahahaha!! And the pearly stitchy detail area...

And the other pearly stitchy detail area...

I made this for the folowing challenges:
Incy Wincy distress it (I distressed all the quilt pieces as well as the image)
