NYC 2007 : Un petit coin de paradis : Wave Hill

Wave Hill : Le paradis du Bronx (un jardin botanique), avec une vue magnifique sur l'Hudson. Wave Hill a été construit en 1843 par le juriste William Lewis Morris. Pendant toute son histoire, des hommes célèbres ont vécu ou séjourné à Wave Hill (Charles Darwin , Mark Twain , Artuto Toscani , Amedée, .....).
J'ai découvert ce jardin par hasard (Pour venir de Manhattan, c'est un vrai chemin de croix :Prendre le Métro 1/9 jusqu’à la 231e rue. Puis prendre bus Bx7/Bx10 au Carrefour nord-est de la 231e rue et de Broadway, jusqu’à la 252e rue. Traverser le pont de l’autoroute et tourner à gauche. Marcher vers le sud sur la route de service longeant la route panoramique. Tourner à droite sur la 249e et continuer jusqu’à l’entrée principale de Wave Hill.....Ouf) : A ma première visite à NYC (Mai 2001) , j'avais envie de visiter aussi le Bronx, mais avec tout ce qu'on lisait dessus en France (Un quartier dangereux en guerre continue), j'ai décidé de passer par une visite guidée. Le voyage débute, on arrive dans le Broxn et notre premier arrêt : Wave Hill.....Qu'elle surprise pour moi de voir cette partie du Bronx (après j'ai visité l'autre visage du Bronx, mais cela reste un superbe quartier de NYC) et depuis je suis tombé amoureux de ce Jardin (J'ai même écris l'article sur Wave Hill pour l'encyclopédie Wikipedia française). Je vous présente un de mes endroits préférés de New York.
Wave Hill: The paradise of the Bronx (a botanical garden), with a magnificent view of the Hudson River. Wave Hill was built in 1843 by lawyer William Lewis Morris. Throughout its history, famous men have lived or stayed at Wave Hill (Charles Darwin, Mark Twain, Artuto Toscani, Amedée, etc.).
I discovered this by accident garden (To come to Manhattan, it's a real way of the cross: Take the subway 1 / 9 until the 231st Street. Then take bus Bx7/Bx10 Carrefour northeast of the 231st street and Broadway, until the 252nd streets. Cross the bridge from the highway and turn left. Walking south on the service road along the scenic route. Turn right on 249th and continue until the entry Primary Wave Hill ..... Ouf): At my first visit to NYC (May 2001), I wanted to visit the Bronx, but with everything we read it in France (A district dangerous in war continues), I decided to go through a guided tour. The tour starts, then to the Broxn and our first stop: Wave Hill ..... Whether surprise for me to see this part of the Bronx (after I visited the other face of the Bronx, but it remains a superb district NYC), and since I am in love with this Garden (I even wrote the article on Wave Hill for the encyclopedia Wikipedia french). Let me introduce one of my favorite places in New York.
Wave Hill, le Bryant Park (Le plus beau parc de New York pour moi) et le Jardin de l'église de St Luke (Dans Greenwich Village) sont mes trois parcs préférés de NYC.
Wave Hill, the Bryant Park (the most beautiful park in New York for me) and the Garden of the church of St Luke (in Greenwich Village) are my three favorites for NYC parks.
