Retrorambling
Retrorambling is that sort of cool retro site where you can find a young and sweet Mansfield in the bathtub or Famous Strippers & Starlets in Bathingsuits or an update on Christine Keeler, or perhaps lend your eyes (and your ears) to The British Invasion.
You know, good stuff!
This blog is run by a Norwegian duderino called Tidious Ted, whom a few years ago managed a couple brilliant retro and pin-up sites, and now is back in business.

Jayne in tub.

Ralphs
Pleasant Family Shopping is one of my go to stops. Curator Dave has an encyclopedic knowledge of the history of retail chain stores of the past and a scholarly perspective on how these marvels played into our hearts and wallets.
Ralphs in Granada Hills, CA. is an example of the dynamic 60's and the Southern California dream.

Technicolor Dance Party.
I want to go to whatever party she's hosting. I bet there's a full bar and a deep stack of platters on the turntable.

Logging On, Old Skool Style.
Remember when the internet was quaint? When people looked at you funny for using it? Ah, the memories...

Thanksgiving on the Islands.
Thanksgiving Day is coming up here in the States, which means gluttony in all its highest forms. Will any of you be cooking this year? If you are and you need something to spice up your usual turkey day spread, then Los Angeles-area "histo-tainer" Charles Phoenix has just the ticket for you: His own retro-tastic Tiki Turkey Dinner. He created it for NPR's "Day to Day," but here's a behind-the-scenes look at the preparation:

Swank!
I'm ready to chuck it all and move to New Zealand, just so I can buy this house and live in it forever:

Look! They even have a vinyl bar!

All it needs is a nice hi-fi console and maybe a sunburst clock. Who's ready to come with?
(Be sure to take the photo tour on the listing page so you can soak everything in.)

Hallowe'en
I love retro Halloween graphics and Halloween Guy (appropriately named!) has a great FLICKR set featuring old die cut decorations, cards, advertisements and other items.
Richard Miller aka Halloween Guy is also the creator of SPOOKSHOWS.COM, a fantastic celebration of this ghoulish holiday - there's lots of extensive galleries loaded with Halloween ephemera. You can even download poison labels to print off!

Hungry Horace and His Spiders
I just felt compelled to point out these very sad vintage video game boxes for the Sinclair Spectrum. I wonder how many people actually paid money for these?
