Airhead - Right Now
AIRHEAD
Right Now
1992 Korova
Notes :
Collectors Edition 'Fanzine' CD Single.
Airhead (formerly Jefferson Airhead) were an English indie rock band that achieved some success in the early 1990s, at the tail end of the Madchester music movement.
Forced to change their name from Jefferson Airhead due to its (deliberate) similarity to Jefferson Airplane, Maidstone-based band Airhead achieved minor UK Singles Chart success with singles "Funny How" and "Counting Sheep". After releasing one album and a handful of singles, they were dropped by their record label Korova and released their final record, the ''That's Enough EP'' on Mother Tongue. They are probably best remembered for "Funny How", which although not their highest-charting single was played heavily on BBC Radio 1 at the time of its release.
In 1996, Airhead made a brief return to the live scene, when they supported Kula Shaker, at the Tunbridge Wells Forum.

The Gyres - First
THE GYRES
First
1997 Sugar
Notes :
The Gyres were a Scottish indie rock band formed in 1994 in Blantyre near Glasgow, just before the Britpop explosion.
The Gyres played numerous gigs in the United Kingdom, Europe and Japan, supporting and touring with Cast, Oasis, Reef, Echobelly and David Bowie. The band enjoyed limited success, and eventually disbanded after walking away from their independent record label, Sugar Records, whose funding had dried up.
The remaining members renamed themselves Point Blank, and released an album called 50/50 at the start of the 2000s, then disbanded not long after the release of the album.

Orange Deluxe - Delectable
ORANGE DELUXE
Delectable
1995 Dead Dead Good
Notes :
Orange Deluxe were formed in October 1992 by singer/guitar hero Paul Bassett from the ashes of his former band, renowned Camden power trio Five Thirty. He re-recruited his original drummer Keith McCubbin, who had taken time off to sharpen his technique by touring for a year with the James Taylor Quartet and drafted in his kid brother Rob on bass (who has yet to be seen moving and playing simultaneously). The final ingredient in Orange Deluxe is guitarist extraordinaire Ian Copestake, known to all and sundry as Cope. He has featured in numerous combo’s in and around his native Liverpool and met Paul in his former role as Sound Engineer/ Camera man on the indie TV programme ‘Transmission’.
They released two albums "Necking (1995)" and ''Vodka Doughnuts & Dole (1996)'' on Dead Dead Good label.
