The Field Mice were part of that shy, anorak-wearing, jangling guitar oriented 'C86' indie pop generation, then with its adorable bubbly trancey arpeggio motif, "Missing The Moon" is their synth-ravey moment, sounding like New Order circa 1990 or some Creation "Keeping The Faith" compilation offshoot (Hypnotone etc), while still preserving that proverbial indie modesty in the vibe. Delicious!

Great and really obscure album from UK indie rock/britpop band Shoot The Moon, released in 1995 on MGL Granite Records, same label that released few records by The Real People.

Not much info on the net about Shoot The Moon. Band members were: Richard D. Brookes (vocals & guitar), Dean Jones (guitar), John M'Queen (bass) and Peter Walker (drums).

They released three singles and this self titled album, that i didn't know they recorded.

Huge thanks to Mario for this hard to find album.

Riverhead was indie/madchester band formed in Edinburgh around 1988 by the guitar player and roadie from The Motorcycle Boy and - despite supposed interest from Rough Trade - quickly signed to Avalanche Records. The line-up was Michael Doran (Vocals, Liverpool); Richard Conte (Drums, Atlanta, ex-We Peoples!); David Scott (Guitar, Belfast, ex-Motorcycle Boy); and Rod white (Bass, Auchtermuchty). The band released three records. There were two four track EPs "Alpharetta" and "Haddit" as well a final single, "Was Away" (with Ady Powers replacing Scottie on guitar). Riverhead split in 1992.

I have great week listening records that i received by email from my friends on the blog.

Everything was on my most Wanted Records list, i was looking very long time for these records and i'm very happy that finally i have copies.

I'm starting with second single released by Kit called ''Cheatin' My Heart'' released in 1989 for great Manchester label Play Hard Records, co-founded by Dave Haslam, legendary DJ at the Hacienda.

Other singles from Kit will follow soon. In the meantime, don't forget to check ''Unshakeable Faith'' album from Kit, that i've posted before few months.
