Guernica was an Irish indie rock band active from 1985 since 1989. Guernica took a heavy New Order/Joy Division influence and mixed it with indie/C86/jangle-pop sounds.

They released three singles: Deep Sea Diving (1987), Orange And Red EP (1987) and Humming Of The Engine EP (1988).

Debut album titled ''Duke Street'' was recorded in 1989, but it was never officially released.

I've heard some news that this album finally will be released in the next few months. Great news for the fans of this fantastic band, including me. There is no official release date, i hope it will be by the end of the year. If i receive any info, you will be updated.

Sinister Groove were obscure early 90's baggy band from UK, they released one single in 1991 on Bad Girl Records. ''Perfect EP'' was one of the most wanted records in my list for few years. Finally it's here, huge thanks to Sinister Groove drummer Jonny Hankins who was very kind to send me a copy of this 12'' vinyl single.
''Perfect EP'' is brilliant record from baggy era, i recommend to all readers of this blog. Must have it!

The Honey Buzzards - Star Happy EP

The Honey Buzzards were a Norwich, England based band who achieved significant Independent Music success in the early 1990's.
They were formed by Ian Thompson (vocals/guitar), Simon Shaw (bass) and Matthew Wayne (drums) at Norwich School in 1988, and shortly recruited Nathan Moore and John Evans as guitarists.
They released three singles on Manchester based Sheer Joy Records: Sympathy (For Two Girls) (1990), Star Happy (1990) and Pale Horse (1991) all of which made the Top 20 of the Indie Chart, and issued a promo single with remixes by The Orb. Their strongest sales however were in Scandinavia, particularly Sweden.
The first single was produced by Michael Johnson, who was responsible for most of New Order’s back catalogue including the “Brotherhood”, “Low-life” and “Technique” albums. In 1991, the band recorded two BBC Sessions, one for the Mark Goodier Evening Session (Radio 1) and one for Hit The North (Radio 5), while John Peel championed the band’s singles extensively.

Another lost gem from early 90's period, unreleased album called ''Fruity'' from Family Gotown.
They were obscure UK indie band who released only three singles: ''Turtle EP (1992)'', ''Box EP (1992)'' & ''Innocence And Experience EP (1993)''.

Family Gotown recorded album ''Fruity'' but their label Vertigo dropped them prior to the LP coming out. Such a shame, it's really fantastic album, contains 13 songs of hammond organ driven indie guitar pop.
