Shaker was band formed by Rus Harrison, vocalist and guitarist of early 90's indie band The Cygnet Ring . Shaker released one album and single for One Little Indian.
The Cygnet Ring were a band associated with the Madchester scene of 1989–1991 and best known for their song "Love Crime". The band was founded by singer Rus Harrison who had previously been in a local indie band called Playing At Trains and had gained a cult following around the late 1980's.
The Cygnet Ring released a number of 7" and 12" singles during their existence and recorded one full length album called Hopeful Monsters, that was never officially released.

Band formed in 1995 by Jamie Wortley and Michael Brown, ex-members of  early 90's UK indie rock band Illustrious GY. They were signed to MCA Records in 1996 and released two singles ''In The End'' and ''Time Of Our Lives''. Debut album was recorded but it was never released because band was dropped by the label.

Finally, 28 years later debut album titled ''Songs For The Small Places'' is released by the band.

Highly recommended, one of the best records i've heard lately, fantastic indie pop album from start to finish, all these years waiting, worth it.

I'm still looking for their CD singles ''Time Of Our Lives'' and ''Album Sampler'', both released in 1996.

Two songs from ''Album Sampler'' are not includded on this official release and will be great to have them. If anyone can help, leave comment or send email.

After a very very long time, one of the records from my Most Wanted Records list finally arrived on the blog. Fantastic and really hard to find baggy influenced 12'' promo single ''Drug House'' by Poppy Factory. One of the most underrated bands from early 90's period that should much bigger and famous, they released three amazing singles, debut album titled ''Good Times'' was recorded, but unfortunately never officially released.
