Madchester Rave On - Temporarily Closed

 

 

I'm sorry my friends, Madchester Rave On will be closed again on temporarily period. Starting on Saturday or Sunday blog will be closed for public viewing, but i hope problem will be solved and i will be back after few days or one week.

 

Last few weeks i'm receiving some worrying stats on my blog. Every day i have few thousands views from IP addresses from these three countries: Singapore, Hong Kong and Mexico. Also hundreds clicks from suspicious sites and pages.

 

If you are the person who is using VPN and connecting on my site from these three countries, please remove my blog address from your bookmarks. It's possible that you have problems with your browser and without your knowing, it's connecting on my blog all day long.

 

I had this problem few times before and closing blog worked very well to get rid of it.

UPDATE (09.09.2025)

Unfortunately, in the last few days, after i re-opened blog, same old problems, thousands connections from same ip address, security of this blog is at high risk and i'm afraid that i will be forced to close blog for longer period, maybe few weeks or months. It will be available only for the users who are on my private list.

 

Every day i'm receiving few thousands connections from someone with IP address from US, also hundreds clicks from these reffering sites: Behance, Cloudflare, Oracle, Capcom, Kayak, Supercell, Healthline, Pexels, Arxiv, Lazada, Nvidia, Skillshare, Lenovo, Mayoclinic, etc.

 

I think that this person have some spyware or malware in his browser (Chrome) that causing these problems on my blog. Same is on my other blog Higher Than The Sun, that i also closed for few days.

 

I will wait for few days and if situation is not better, i'm closing this blog on Monday.

Madchester Rave On Goes Private

 

 

 

Today posts are the last one that will be visible online. From tomorrow this blog goes private which means that you will need invitation to visit this site. Reasons for this actions will be revealed soon.

I'm still not sure how it works and in the next few days i'll start sending invitations first to the people who are in my email list, close friends who helped me with the blog and great music fans from all over the world. Priority goes to the ones who found time to send email supporting my work on the blog in the last 17 years, people who helped me with collecting records from my Most Wanted records list and helped this blog to be much better place.

From the beginning, my idea was to collect all these forgotten indie bands from late 80's/early 90's period in one place by posting their hard to find records. I'm sure this is blog with most obscure and hard to find stuff, unreleased albums & singles, DJ promos & white labels, unreleased demos and tracks, exclusive stuff only on this little site.

I really missed this old good days when this blogger stuff started before 17 or 18 years, there were so many great blogs posting records from 90's period, competition was so strong. One by one were closed over this period and only few good blogs left nowdays. I think that people lost interest and this blog thing will be dead in year or two.

RAVE ON my friends and wait for invitation, maybe it will take few weeks to complete everything. If i forget someone, feel free to send email and remind me. If you liked stuff i've posted so far, i'll try to bring more interesting records in the future. And maybe some of the hidden treasures that i keep in my collection.

If you are the one who didn't get invitation, sorry and thank you for visiting my blog. I hope you had good fun and found some intersting stuff for your collection.

Madchester Rave On is CLOSED

I'm very sorry to say this but from today Madchester Rave On is closed for any new posts.
I'm still not sure how long, few weeks, few months or forever, i can't tell that at the moment.
In the next period i will be very busy with other activities and i will don't have time to work on the blog. But if it's possible, if there is any chance, i'll try to add few records through the summer.

I will still checking if there are any comments and i'll try to keep alive as much as possible links that i've uploaded on zippyshare. Every link that is inactive for 30 days will be deleated automatically by zippyshare stuff. So if you want to download any record from the blog, do it faster.

Don't leave comments at the posts requesting some records to be reposted, it won't happen anymore.

Madchester Rave On - Happy 10th Birthday

This supposed to be last post, 10 years i'm working on this blog, a perfect time for my retirement :)
That was my plan, but i'm not sure, still i'm not ready to close this blog and in the next few days or weeks i will make decision what to do. To close blog or to continue for few more months, until the end of 2017.

Ten fantastic years posting music, listening again all these late 80's & early 90's records, editing & tagging tracks, searching for unbelievable to find records, posting obscure & unreleased material, so many great memories, i've enjoyed every minute working on the blog.

Happy Birthday - MADCHESTER RAVE ON !!!

Madchester Rave On is 9 years old !!!  Until the end of this month re-posting of madchester classics, re-uploading of dead links and i will try to add few videos from early 90's period.

This will be my last year working on the blog and as always i'll try to post some interesting stuff  for you. And i'm making efforts to find all that records from my Wanted Records list, any help from you will be appreciated.

Sorry folks, there will be no new posts on my blogs for two or three weeks. I will start with normal posting when i receive my new PC and will need time to back in business again. My old PC crushed before few days and i lost some great music on that hard drive. See you SOON.
