Notes :
Early version of ''Love House'' single by Bristol baggy band Nautical William.

Nautical William - Tubular Bellbottoms EP (White Label Promo)

NAUTICAL WILLIAM
Tubular Bellbottoms EP
1993 Mojo Filter

Notes :
This is one of the records that was few years in my Wanted List, huge thanks to Simon for ripping his 12'' vinyl promo.

''Tubular Bellbottoms EP'' is obscure, very rare, third and last single released by one of the finest Bristol bands Nautical William. I think that this single was withdrawn before copies could reach the shops.
Different sound from their previous baggy influenced singles ''Love House'' and ''Love''.
I'm loving more and more these funky vibes with every new listen. Great stuff.

Nautical William - Love EP

NAUTICAL WILLIAM
Love EP
1991 Mojo Filter

Nautical William were formed in 1987, based around the song writing partnership of Damian Dingley and Jim Cemlyn-Jones. With Dave Oliver, drums, Pete Bray, bass and Bob Conga, percussion, the band established roots in Bristol, UK, playing at hallowed venues such as The Tropic, Stokes Croft, Thekla on the Bristol docks and Moles club, Bath. Their first single was release in 1990 “Love” followed by “Love House” in 1991. Teaming up with George Shilling of Soup Dragon’s/I’m Free fame the band were posed to release a 4 track EP but a lineup change prevented the recordings from ever being released. 1993 saw the launch of the Tubular Bellbottoms EP featuring a new percusive lineup including Ian Maclaren on bass, John Miller, drums. After a number of successful UK and European tours the band decided to call it a day. Sadly an album was never released, but there are rumours there’s something in the pipeline…
