Welfare Heroine was indie dance/baggy band formed by Dele Fadele (music journalist and performer who wrote regularly for NME in the late '80s and early '90s, focusing on hip-hop, acid house, shoegazing and grunge) and Joe Hornoff (member of New York based outfit who released album and few singles in the late 80's for Wax Trax! Records).

Welfare Heroine released two singles: ''Cry Blood'' (1990) and ''Starve The Eagle'' (1991), both for great Non Fiction label.

Big thanks to Chris for copy of this obscure & hard to find single from Welfare Heroine.

Candyland - Kingdom

Candyland was formed in London by Felix Tod (vocals) and David Wesley Ayers Jr. (guitar). This lineup soon grew to include Kenediid Osman (bass), Derrick McKenzie (drums), and Colin Payne (keyboards).
Their first and only album, Suck It and See, was released In 1991, and although four singles were released from it (Fountain O’ Youth, Kingdom, Bitter Moon and Rainbow), Candyland broke up later in 1991.
