SIX MILE HIGH
Homebaker & Hallowed Ground
1995 Sony
Notes :
I'm looking for mp3 copy of two 12'' singles (Homebaker & Hallowed Ground) from obscure Australian indie dance band Six Mile High.
Six Mile High were an electronic-fusion-rock group from Perth,
Australia, who released an independent album, Initiations, under the
name Yummy Fur in 1994. When they signed with Sony in 1995, they had to
change their name as a group already held that name internationally.
They released the singles "Homebaker" and "Hallowed Ground" in 1995,
both receiving strong airplay on Triple J and locally within Perth -
however, failed to succeed commercially outside their home city and
subsequently were dropped by Sony. They reverted to their former name,
releasing a single "Life" and album ''One Of These Things Is Not Like The Other'' in 1997.
Band members were: Andrei Mazandarani (vocals, programming), Anton Mazandarani (drums, percussion), Julian Ralls (guitar), Travis Calley (keyboards, programming, saxophone), Kiriakos Lucas (guitar) and Jerome Mazandarani (bass).
Their first single ''Homebaker'' have tracks Homebaker (The Loco Mix) & Homebaker (The Molecule A Go Go Mix), both remixed by Stephen Mallinder from Cabaret Voltaire.
I can't find any info about their second single, tracklisting, cover.
If anyone have mp3 copy of these records, please leave comment or send email to: evibes72@yahoo.com
I have copy of title tracks, i'm not sure if these are original versions or remixes, both are great, baggy influenced tracks.
01. Homebaker
02. Hallowed Ground
