She's baaack.

I have some history with Angela McGlowan. Back in the day when she was still relevant, she took issue with how I characterized her on my blog. I challenged her to an open debate, but, as wingnuts tend to do, she chickened out.

I think she ran for congress in Mississippi and lost (thank goodness), and I thought she had just gone off into the sunset somewhere to relax in a nice ----republican paid for---- house for the rest of her life.

Boy was I wrong. Angela never went anywhere. Apparently she has been hiding out on conservative radio and bolstering her wingnut cred this whole time.

Now we learn that Angela has teamed up with Sean Hannity of Fox News to declare that somehow Barack Obama is responsible for the tragic circumstances surrounding that missing Malaysian jet. *????*

Now this all sounds so ludicrous and comical that you would think that it's a part of a Daily Show or Saturday Night Live skit. Sadly, though, it is not.

Angela McGlowan actually believes that president Obama's policies led to  terrorists taking over that plane.... but wait; we still don't know what happened to the plane just yet. It turns out that those two Middle Eastern men with stolen passports might not be terrorists after all.

Oh well Angela, back to the drawing board. Back to saying dumb things like "Obama wants to take away our guns which means that we can't defend ourselves from an attacks from Syria, Iran." (Yes, she really said that.)

JULIE BOONSTRAAnd to think that this woman almost went to congress.

Finally, one of the many problems with the Koch brothers just blindly pumping money into all of these anti-Obamacare ads is that they probably can't properly vet the actors who appear from time to time.

"Americans for Prosperity, the conservative advocacy group backed by the Koch brothers, is running Obamacare attack ads featuring a cancer patient who claimed her treatments were "unaffordable" under the new health care law. On Monday, The Detroit News reported that the patient will actually save more than $1,000 a year.

Julie Boonstra says in the anti-Obamacare ad that she was diagnosed with leukemia five years ago, and her health care plan was canceled when Obamacare went into effect.

"Now, the out-of-pocket costs are so high, it's unaffordable," she said.
Before her plan was canceled, Boonstra was paying a $1,100 monthly premium. That's $13,200 a year without adding out-of-pocket expenses like co-pays and prescription drugs.

But under her new plan, the Blue Cross Premier Gold, Boonstra's premiums are down to $571 a month, and out-of-pocket costs are capped at $5,100. That's a maximum annual expense of $11,952 a year.

According to The Detroit News, Boonstra said it “can’t be true” that her new coverage is cheaper than her old.

“I personally do not believe that,” Boonstra said." [Source]

Of course you don't ma'am. You are, after all, a wingnut.

Is red the new black?

That's my man Charles Lollar in the pic. Charles is running as a republican to go to Congress from Maryland's 5th District. I don't know much about Charles, he seems like a nice enough guy. (Thank you for your service!) Although I wasn't pleased to read this:

"Chances of winning: Lollar, who recently solicited money from donors at a Maryland bar decorated with a Confederate flag, is fighting an uphill battle against House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer."

Not cool Charles, not cool.

Still, maybe I spoke too soon about that republican tent being too small. Seems that there is a profusion of black folks running as republicans this coming political season. -The most since reconstruction-And I, for one, am happy about it. I don't think that they are "delusional" as some would suggest. We need fresh ideas and a diversity of views to bring to the political table. Seems that there is no shortage of black folks willing to climb up on the back of the elephant. (Including some dude named Issac Hayes, a 26 year old who used to work for Newt, some candidates with tea party backing, my girl Angela and some cat named Vaughn Corrogan:

"After losing his middle-management job at US Airways following 9/11, Vaughn started a limousine company and a female clothing line, Vaughn Wear. He's also a deacon at his church."

Vaughn, you might have needed to sit this one out.

Anyway, of the 35 candidates named by the New York Times, I am guessing that maybe four or five of them have a legitimate shot at winning their primary. I think they will find that getting republicans in certain states to fork over money to the Negro candidate will be much easier to do in theory than in the real world. But we will see. And then, of course, there is the fact that many of them are political neophytes, so they were going to be behind the eight ball with the party machine in their various states to begin with.

What this all proves, of course, is that the political landscape is changing. Whether this "Motley Crew" represents a good change is left to be seen. Contrary to popular belief, black folks have shown that they will be willing to vote for the person who they perceive to have their best interest at heart. If that means voting for the white guy over the candidate who looks like they do, well then, so be it. Just ask Artur Davis in Alabama. He thought that being black and being a democrat was enough. It wasn't.

So if folks are picking up what these republican candidates are putting down it will be all good for them. But if they are not...well, see Artur Davis.

The other problem, of course, is that many of these candidates are running in republican primaries, so they have to speak to the interest of their constituents. And the last time I checked ...well let's just say that you aren't going to get any future first round NBA draft picks out of any of these districts. Tacking to the right and then tacking to the center is always tricky for politricksters. And for the black republican politrickster, it is even more so.

"President Barack Obama and San Francisco liberal Nancy Pelosi are implementing policies that are destroying our conservative Mississippi values. ... No one will defend and promote our conservative Mississippi values more vigorously."

I hear you Angela, but here is the paradox:

"Chances of winning: Though media savvy, McGlowan will have a tough time running against state Sen. Allan Nunnelee in the primary."

Nunnelee is a part of that conservative Mississippi machine with the old school values you so fervently embrace. The problem is, Angela, they don't embrace you.

"Baby mama" drama.

I know who won't be on Bill and Hillary's enemy list, the folks at FOX NEWS. Yet they should be. For years I have been trying to warn anyone who would listen about the folks over at propaganda central. I have been trying to tell folks that they are probably the most dangerous people in our country because of their power, their influence, and their reach. But all I heard was; "field why do you worry about FOX NEWS? They are just a television station whose job it is to entertain folks. Get over it."

But now, for many of you Obamaholics, they have crossed the line. Many of you saw it and were outraged then, and many of you still can't believe that a major so called news agency called the wife of a leading contender for the presidency of these divided states a "baby mama". It's outrageous! How could they do such a thing? It's racism pure and simple! Ahhh duh. Yes it's FOX, this is what they do. Much to the delight of their millions of listeners[and watchers] in the heartlands who love to see the "pretty" blonds, the hunky anchor with the Ole Miss accent, the flashy graphics, and the A-merry-can flag front and center for all eyes to see. The same FOX NEWS who were cheerleaders for the Iraqi war, and for a president who will go down in history as probably the worst this country has ever had. But now, we are finally outraged. Now after one of their clueless anchors called the Obama's playful fist bump a "terrorist jab", and the possible first lady of these divided states, a woman happily married to her husband, the father of her two children.....I still can't believe this shit--- is all of a sudden a "baby mama." Do you think Cindy McCain, a woman who slept with a married man while his wife lay paralyzed could have ever been vilified and disrespected that way? Not in your life-time or mine. It would never happen, because Cindy McCain belongs to that class in A-merry-ca that you don't fuck with. That kind of disrespect and ignorance even by so called main stream media folks is reserved for the black wife, not the white one. And yet, Bill Shine, who is a senior VP of programing over at FOX says that a producer showed "poor judgment" in showing the graphic seen round the world. "Poor Judgment"? Poor judgment is what I use when I forget to take my umbrella when it's raining outside. This was not "poor judgment" by some lowly producer, this was a decision from the top.

But get used to it. FOX just slipped up and started too soon. There will be more of that to come. Maureen Dowd's article sums up what's to come perfectly, and you Obamaholics better get used to it. Personally, I have been outraged at FOX NEWS for a long time-- Don't believe me? Look at my sidebar--. So these latest pronouncements from their people, while outrageous, is not surprising. Come on, it's FOX. I would expect no less from those whores. It's why folks like Juan Williams, until he gets off that network, will always have a place in the house. Because by appearing on their network and cashing their checks, he is endorsing their outrageous behaviour. But I am still waiting for Mr. Williams and folks like Angela McGlowan (who proudly proclaims that she has been on FOX since 1999) to come out and slam their benefactors. Angela, a fellow black woman was smeared. I know you both don't see eye to eye politically, but you share so much more. (At least I think you do). Why don't you prove me wrong about you, step up, and do the right thing? Call out the people you work for, and tell the world that you are ashamed to be a part of such an organization. **Ahhh I love the sound of crickets in the evening***

Oh well, let's see what you Obamaholics are going to do now. I hear the outrage, and I feel your pain, now I want to see some action. Will you write letters to FOX and their sponsors? Will you stop buying from the advertisers who sell their products on the FOX networks? Will you make them accountable for their actions? You better, because if you don't, this will be just the beginning. And the folks in the "heartland" won't stop watching.

Why I was curious.

This post is a follow up to my previous one. And let me say right off the top that I got some interesting comments from folks who questioned the importance of calling out the blogger who runs the interracial site, and my need to see her actual picture.

For the record, some of you raised some good points. And I totally get how some sisters could see a double standard, especially when they claim that they have gone to sites run by brothers only to see sista bashing on a regular basis.

But here is the deal. (And I am going to my house Negro field Negro analogy again so stay with me) The house Negroes among us tend to be more caught up on physical appearances and looks. You all know it, and so do I. I don't know, maybe it's because there are so many mirrors in the house. But these individuals are obsessed with the European concept of beauty and how it relates to the American experience. Usually, it manifests itself in two ways. One is the I don't fit into the Euro centric standards of beauty so I hate myself. (See Clarence Thomas) The other is the I fit perfectly into the Euro centric standards of beauty and I don't like people in my race, because they don't fit in like I do. (See Angela McGlowan) Both of these types of house Negroes are victims of their own devices and both are equally flawed.

I have said it here before, and it's worth repeating: I really don't care if two people of different races genuinely fall in love with each other and decide to hook up. They are human beings, and their race will sometimes take a secondary role to their basic human instincts. But when a person feels that they can only hook up with a person who looks like the other people in the majority population because of their own lack of self worth, or self hatred, well then we have a problem. And for the record, this standard applies to both black men and women. (O.J. Charles, and all you other black athletes with the white women just for having a white womans's sake, this means you)

This is why I wanted to see what this individual looked like. I wanted to get a better idea of what camp she falls in. Not because I wanted to judge her based on her looks. (That would be rather shallow of the field don't you think kitty?) Or, for that matter, because I thought the individual might be white. Frankly, I suspected it was a black female all along. And for the record, if you have what basically is a dating site with pictures of all different types of couples (celebrity and otherwise) and you purport to be living the lifestyle that you are promoting; well then, yeah, you should have your damn picture or likeness on the site. It's just that simple.

So girlfriend, (If you are a female) you are a house Negro. And if there are brothers out there with sites bashing black women; well, then, they are house Negroes too. Promoting openness and tolerance is one thing, bashing your own race because of your own fucked up pathologies is quite another.

I hope I clarified why I posted what seemed to some of you to be a petty post earlier. There is nothing petty about the house Negroes running around among us and undermining our race. They must be called out at every turn. I don't care if they are celebrities, wanna be celebrities, or just some sista on the Net looking for "Mr Goodbar". Or, in this case, a vanilla flavored "Mr. Goodbar". If you are house Negro who prefers the comforts of the house, that's fine. But please don't try to spread that shit among other Negroes. Lord knows we have enough problems as it is.

***DISCLAIMER. None of the pictures posted above were meant to be (or have) the likeness of the individual who happens to be the subject of this post. If it just so happens that there is a true likeness of her (or him) in one of the pictures posted above, it is purely coincidental. ***

"Jungle Fever", or just a slight temperature?

Looks like I am going to revisit this issue (interracial relationships) sooner than I thought.

What spurred me to thinking about this was an article I saw yesterday which I featured on my sidebar here. That, and a trip I took to the King Of Prussia Mall yesterday. The King Of Prussia Mall is, I think, the second largest in the country, so it was a perfect lab for my little experiment; especially on a busy Saturday afternoon in August.

Now of all the couples I saw yesterday- I am going to guess that I saw maybe nine or ten interracial ones; and none of them seemed to be black women with white men. Everyone of the interracial couples I saw seemed to be a white woman with a black man. ( I keep saying "seemed to be" because you just never know anymore)

So what does that tell you? Well it tells me that (and I know it was a very small sampling) black men with white women still far out number the alternative. So, in a way, the fact that according to the census bureau there are now 117,000 black woman white men couples in America, as opposed to 95,000 in 2000, (how do they keep track of this shit?) I guess that means we are making progress. Or could that just simply mean that the black female is changing her criteria for dating? According to the article I feature here, I think it means both. What the author seems to be saying; is that black woman can finally acknowledge that there are some f****d up pathologies with black men, and that their-black men's numbers, are too few based on a series of unfortunate social phenomenon. And if they can openly say this, isn't that progress? I don't know, is it?

Let me say for the record, that I don't now, nor have I ever had a problem with interracial relationships. To take that position would go against my libertarian streak. However, personally, I have never dated outside of my race. (I take that back; I did date a Chinese and a Syrian on two separate occasions; both of who were Jamaicans born and raised. I am not sure where that stacks up) I just always found sisters more attractive, and with very few exceptions, found that we have so much more in common. But I have never gotten on brothers and sisters who do, because relationships are something that's personal to the individual. Why pretend you are someone you are not just do date someone in your own race when you are going to be miserable in the long run? It's why I suspect that people like Clarence Thomas, Ward Coonerly, and Angela McGlowan, have all married outside of their race. They are much more comfortable with people who think like they do and who they perceive to be beautiful. Now do I agree with these people? HELL NO! But it's not because they are married to white people; no, it's because they hate themselves, and could not marry anyone but a white person.

I am guessing that most of the sisters who are now finding themselves in interracial relationships are not like the people I just mentioned. At least I hope they are not. I am guessing they have just run out of options, and they are just not finding good brothers out here. So, they look for just any good man period, be he white, purple, or whatever; who shares some things in common with them, and who will at least make them happy. You can't blame them for that; everyone wants to be happy. And if our brothers are in jail, killing each other in record numbers, or if girlfriend gets a job in Boise Idaho, just what would we expect girlfriend to do? Keep running to the store to buy triple A batteries for the rest of her life?

Now the article also mentioned some web sites; and at the risk at starting an e-fight with this issue all over again, I must say that I take umbrage with some of them. Dating outside of your race to make yourself happy is one thing. But dating outside of your race, and trashing brothers (or sisters) on your way to the other side is quite another. I have been in the company of some ignorant ass brothers who proudly declare; that they would never go back to dating sisters, because....well, fill in the blank. Now that's some ignorant shit. Just like the sisters on their web sites who slam brothers for whatever reason. Usually it's because some Ike had done her Tina wrong at one point in her life. So they cheer like hell because Whitney left Bobby; not because Bobby introduced her to the crack pipe, but because Bobby is... well.... a brother. Now that's some ignorant self hating shit for your ass. The irony is, that these types of people always seem to end up being miserable no matter what the race of their partner is. Real live cases of shit attracting flies if you get where I am coming from.
I have a white colleague, a very successful attorney here in Philly, who will only date sisters. And he does alright. Trust me, I have seen the dime pieces by his side as proof. But he does it for purely superficial reasons. He finds black women much more attractive that white ones, so for his own selfish reasons, he prefers to get his freak on with only sisters. Call me a hypocrite, but if a black man takes this exact position about white women it pisses me off. Why? I don't know maybe it's because unlike the sister, he has so much more choices. So to right off a sister because you find white women more attractive smacks of self hatred to me. It doesn't bother me when my white colleague displays those traits because his race and what it brings him will not make that an issue. But for a black man in this country, self hatred is a luxury you can ill afford, so if you find it manifesting itself in any way you should check yourself.

I am going to revisit this issue again, because I think it's important, and because there are so many other facets of this -such as the children of interracial relationships that I didn't touch on. I am heading back to the Mall now, but I promise you, I am just going to shop this time.

An Open Challenge To Angela McGlowan

I swear just can't leave Angela (McGlowan) alone. But she makes it so easy for me. Anyway, I am browsing through the net, and I stumble across an interview girlfriend gave to Townhall.com by way of a Q&A with Lisa Pasquale. (I swear conservatives just love this sister.
So anyway, girlfriend is doing the whole woe is me bit, and crying a river about how liberals on the left are attacking her. She talks about her Daddy from Mississippi, and she evokes the memories of Emmett Hill, Dr. King, and Fredrick Douglas. She goes after the usual suspects: Sharpton, Jackson, and Bond; which is proof positive of just how out of touch she is with her own race. She even recites the same old saying about "giving a man a fish and he eats for a day, teach a man to fish and he eats for life or some such bull shit like that. Geeez! Talk about pathetic. Angela, if you teach a man to fish and there is no fish in the f*****g lake, he still ain't gonna eat!

But I am used to this type of speak from black conservatives, so her little Q& A didn't really interest me, until I read this:

"Many conservative women authors, including Ann Coulter, Monica Crowley and Michelle Malkin, are routinely attacked and dismissed by the Left for their “TV-friendly” looks. As a former Miss District of Columbia and conservative author, what has been the response to your book from the Left?

Liberals seem to have the same reaction to any minority that has the courage to stand up for what is right. As a black female conservative, liberals have gone to the extreme to attempt to destroy my reputation, character, and credibility. I have been an on-air conservative pundit since 1999, speaking against liberal policies. It was not until recently, and after the release of Bamboozled, that the most awful and disgusting campaigns have been lodged against me. From Media Matters to pornographic chat rooms, liberals have tried to use every means to discount and destroy my efforts to educate Americans on the lies of liberal agenda. My name and picture have been placed on websites connected to House Negro, Field Negro, the Lawn Jockey, and Mammy. Worst of all, they have placed the image of my book and published wedding photos of my recent marriage on porn sites and porn chat rooms. "

Yes Angela, I would be that "Field Negro" web site you refer to, and I do not have to do anything to destroy your reputation, character, or credibility. You seem to have done a pretty good job of that all by your lonesome. Just like the other lightweight conservative frauds who the white- right movement have propped up as their Negro of the moment, your arguments lack intellectual honesty or logic. Still, you like to say that those of us from the far left (by the way, I consider myself an independent) are afraid to debate you on the issues. Well Angela, consider this an open challenge to you: I, the Field Negro, will debate you at any time and any place, on the benefits and merits of conservative social and economic policies, and whether it's a good or bad thing for black folks here in A-merry-ca.
There, you have an answer to your challenge. Now if you can't take me up on it, and if you were just blowing smoke for your conservative buddies, may I suggest that from here on out you take your "TV-friendly" looking ass, *me rolling my eyes* and just shut the f**k up!
