Wet mornings after foggy evenings..

The sun is shining and it is actually warm out, what a lovely treat!

Cool Wet Spring

 Lots of fog these days and it makes for very wet drippy mornings, I love finding spider's webs!

I am slowly getting things planted, it was cool today, the temperature hovered around 10° C. The sun did peek out this afternoon!

First Lake Freighters of the Season

I saw my first boat of this autumn season out on the Lake this afternoon,

it is always a thrill to see them!

then as I sat here at my computer I spied another out on the horizon, 

so I took the photo through the screened window

Ice Pan Walking on Superior

Grey Day

It was a chilly damp, mild day today, but the wind was very cold down at the Lake. There is ice building up on the shore, it seems to change every day. I love to hear the tinkling sound of the ice as it undulates with the wave action underneath. Beauties!

Water Spout on Lake Superior

Yesterday afternoon as I was cooking our Thanksgiving dinner Mark spotted this water spout, funnel cloud out on the Lake. There wasn't much time for me to get a few photos of it as it was moving east on the Lake. The hospital blocks our view, but it was pretty cool to watch it while I could.

Garlic in the Garden

all of our garlic came up this year and it is doing really well, yum!

Trailing Arbutus

we went for a drive, then a walk in the woods today. 

we discovered that the trailing arbutus is starting bloom. it is one of our favourite early spring wildflowers, and is smells so pretty!
