The Final Art Cards

Here is the last set of the remaining 6 art cards. Remember these cards are part of the  #365somethings2018 project on Instagram, where I hoped, and now have, ended up with 365 cards, one for each day of 2018. And this is the last card, no. 365, posted to Instagram this morning. This project will leave me with lovely memories. It was lots of work, both making and posting the cards but it has also been another learning curve and progressed me in my art making. I won't be doing something like this again any time soon. In fact I have no plans for 2019 as yet other than to take it a bit easier!

The end is nigh! Only 6 more cards to go before this project comes to an end. And although I'm relieved I made it, I'm also feeling a bit of sadness that it will soon be over. It was both hard work and lots of fun, things that seem to go together quite often. As mentioned above, the cards will remain visible on my Instagram feed in numerical order. Stencilgirl® October 2018 Project

I’m still making more art cards for the #365somethings2018 undertaking. The idea is to make something creative every day of this 2018 year. I have chosen to make 3 x 3” art cards and I’m having so much fun with them. It is very surprising to discover just how many ways there are to art on such a small surface. Here is another set of 9 cards and the good thing is there is a full step-by-step tutorial for these on the Stencilgirl® Talk website as there has been before. I even refer back to my own tutorials when I’m making cards! The cards themselves are going to be uploaded to my Instagram account in the near future, so you can see them there in detail.

I have temporarily stopped working on the prompt for Joggles Art Journal Adventure to participate in #thestencilfiedjournal as well as my 365 art cards. There is only time for so much and there is a quilt to be made too. I'm also thinking about new projects to come, but that won't happen till next year (and it's only June!).

Here is the latest batch of nine artcards. They are part of my #365somethings2018 project on Instagram where I hope to end up with 365 cards, one for each day of 2018. If you want to see them appear individually each day you can find them all on my Instagram feed.

I'm really enjoying how they all end up looking very differently. I make backgrounds usually in groups of 9 cards, then add collage, rubber stamping, stencilling etc. And then every day I finish one or more cards completely and stamp a day stamp on for the day I finish them. They go in a pot and then I select one to take out and post every day.

Here is the next lot of art cards. I'm aiming to catch up with the cards so that I upload one to Instagram every day till the end of the year. Because I made a late start I'm slightly behind. The cards are done to date but uploading them takes a bit longer as I don't want to overload my Instagram feed.

 Two more art cards have been completed for the #365somethings2018 project. They were produced using collage, rubber stamping, stencilling (all stencils by Stencilgirl Products), washi tape and art foamies (from Balzer Designs).
