Spring Double Stamp

Hello!  I'm still here!  Just in the middle of gardening season and getting my perennial bed sorted out so I have dirty paws lately.  So I pulled a manicure from the not so distant past, that I created to celebrate the first days of spring.

In the spirit of all the lovely birdsong, bursting blooms and budding trees:

I forgot what combinations of polish I used for this manicure--pretty sure the base green is Barielle Mint Ice Cream Cone, and I put a light coat of Covergirl Boundless Color Pink Twinkle over every nail before sealing with my favorite topcoat Seche Vite. I used image plates: BM003 (flower), BM-204 (green, stamped twice), BM-410 (dragonfly), as well as one Cheeky XL plate.  The pink nail is a kind of pond manicure with a sheer pink jelly.

Do you have a favorite spring manicure?  Or a favorite colour nail polish this spring/summer?

Thanks for popping by!

Manicure refresh: Pure Ice Free Spirit

Greetings fellow earthlings with nail blings!

Manicure refresh!

This is a manicure from a few months ago, when I picked up a bottle of Pure Ice Free Spirit.  I wore 2 coats of Free Spirit alone for 4 days and then repaired the manicure with a sponge gradient using Orly Shockwave, Revlon Heavenly and---it was either Cover Girl Boundless Color City Lights or China Glaze Fairy Dust.  (I love them both and want to paint them all over EVERYTHANG).
Topped with Seche Vite!

I LOVE THAT GREEN.  I have a thing for green.  I really enjoyed wearing this manicure and I always find it so satisfying when I can revive an old mani and make it last a few more days.

Have you ever refreshed a manicure?  How did you do it?

I am having a giveaway! Have you checked it out?  Bundle monster 2013 CYO plate sets, Sinful Colors, Kleancolor, Joe Fresh...

Thanks for peeking!  Happy polishing!

Super Bright St.Patty's Day Mani!

Greetings Jellybeans!

I thought I would try something crazy bright for a St Patty's themed mani!  Lately I can't get enough chartreuse and lime.  If you click on these you might get a better hint of the shimmer.  You lose the splatter pattern of the image,  but man...I think it is one of my favorite images from Bundle Monster's 2013 CYO set.  It's so versatile and fun!  I wish I'd thought of it when I was designing my entries!  I'm so glad someone did!

2 coats of Pure Ice Wild Thing
+ (Kleancolor Jazz Olive + BM-416 splatter)
+ (American Apparel Hunter + BM-406  Celtic hearts)
+ Seche Vite

What do you think would look great for St Patty's?

Thanks for checking in!

Acid Butterfly

Greeting fellow nail geniuses!

I was inspired by Dressed Up Digits'  rainbow water marble, which came from the tutorial by the incredibly talented and marvelous ProfessionalDQ and this manicure  by Chokoreto to produce my own version, which I have dubbed The Acid Butterfly.

I have had oodles of trouble with water marbles in the past, but this one worked awesome!  I made sure to use filtered water that was room temperature, and the sheers were pretty runny which helped when I was making my bulls eye. OR it was pure magical coincidence that I managed this one.  ;p

Sorrrrry!  My eczema is actually getting better now, but this manicure is from a week ago, and it was still bad then.  I know it's ugly, and the camera makes it uglier than it really is.  I would not have bothered photographing that hand but each nail was unique.

Base: L.A. Colors basecoat/topcoat

1 coat Sally Hansen HD4070-04 Hi-Def

Sponge gradient (moon to tip):
Sally Hansen HD4070-04 Hi-Def,
Sally Hansen HD4070-13 Resolution,
Revlon 340 Ocean

Marble: SH Hard as Nails 4860-28 Black Out,
Finger Paints 806618 Merry Mistletoe

Dots applied after using SH Hard as Nails 300 White On

Topcoat: Seche Vite

I got nail mail yesterday and I am dying to show it off!  Working on the review post for it tonight.  MADE OF WIN.

And that giveaway IS coming.  It's just that I've been away from the internets awhile.  I'm trying to familiarize myself with rafflecopter. The giveaway is actually getting bigger as time goes on and I find more cool stuff, which is ok...right? :P

Happy Painting!

Jealous Hearts (Spats n' Spangles variation)

Happy Friday everybody!

I really loved my Neon Spats n' Spangles mani, so I thought I'd do another version of it last night using my Sally Hansen X-treme Wear greens.

I like this striped tips mani better on my square nails, but it still looks pretty. The first one is my left hand and the second shot is my right. For the first time I actually had equal success with both hands. I think I am beginning to feel more comfortable with the striper brushes.

I used Wet n' wild French White Creme for the base, then painted 3/4 of the nail with alternating Sally Hansen greens. The dark one is called "Going Green" and the lighter one is called "Green with Envy". Pinstripes and -I'm going to call it the smile line but plse correct me if I'm mis-using it- were accomplished using Art Deco black striper polish. I used a bundle monster stamp for the hearts using Konad special polish in Black Pearl.

Again with the blurry! I'm convinced I'm missing something with this little camera.

Rhinestones in two different greens (light on the dark and vice versa) complete the Spats n' Spangles effect! Topcoat and Voila. Jealous Hearts. :)

Hope everyone has a terrific weekend despite the fact that fall is closing in. Hey. Winter isn't all bad. At least not until January. :P

Cheers!
