WORKS BY AND ABOUT PEOPLE

WHO HAVE APPEARED ON AUSTRALIAN CURRENCY.

Appearing on Australian currency is usually reserved for those who have made noteworthy and enduring contributions to the nation, in a multiplicity of fields: commerce and industry, science, academia and the arts.

This page provdes easy links to works by and/or about a large number of such people (royalty omitted). Most prolifically represented are poets Henry Lawson and "Banjo" Paterson, with early navigators and explorers coming second.

These links are here to allow you to become better acquainted with their works and deeds. The tabular format also lists the currency denominations and years for each of them.

Happy reading!

Copyright laws limit the availability of relatively new works on this site.
