My Birthday

Eating is what we do best and so there's always a great selection of desserts for everyone. Yellow cake with caramel frostin from Saunders is my favorite and my sister drove all the way to Wyandotte to get one for me. Thank you soooo much Laura. It was a beautiful day for cooking on the grill and we all had a wonderful time.

I'm being very brave here and showing a photo of my young self. Thanks everyone for the beautiful gifts, cards, candy, desserts and best of all for coming.

A Bay Colt for RR

Hi Rural Rambler, I hear you're in the maket for a Bay and although you want something older this is the best I could find on short notice. She belongs to my neighbor and will probably be for sale in a couple of years. She has four new ones this year and I love walking down the road to watch them.

More Tulips

I thought these looked pretty in front of the birdhouse.

Is it finally apring?

We've has the longest and coldest winter I've seen in a long time and on April 18th. I finally have some flowers in bloom. There are tons of buds and with the warming temps the tulips should all bloom within the next two weeks. We have a good extended forecast and I'm going to take a chance and start planting annuals. I've done this in the past and been sorry but am hoping this year will be different. It's also time to clean the feeders and rearrange them and hopefully get some good bird shots. My red-wunged blackbirds have been here for awhile and I know the orioles will follow so I've got oranges on the grocery list. Hurrah for Spring!!!

Cardinals & Snow

I complain about winter but it's truly the best time of year to photograph the male snow because they show up so beautifully against the snow.

More Collages

The kitties are a wall hanging and since they're snyomonus with cats I thought it would make a good post.

I have tons of these little birds and they were on a feeding frenzy today so it was pretty easy to get shots.

She's on the roof!
She's still there!
