CASE-ing Inspiration

I haven't made a card for a while - I'm really struggling with inspiration. So I turned to Pinterest to find something I could 'CASE' - copy and share elements.

I found this card that someone had saved but no link to the original maker so I don't know who made this lovely creation originally.

It looks so simple but looks are deceiving! At least this gave me the opportunity to use up loads of bits of patterned paper that we all collect!

Here's how I did:

I'm not sure about it - but at least I've made a card!

Thinking of You

The current challenge at Less Is More #448 is to 'CASE' (copy and share everything) one of the design team's cards - this is the inspiration card

What I decided to take from this card was the layout - I really liked the way Elaine had arranged her tiles...

I decided to use snippets of patterned paper from a beautiful pad I had bought at The Range - florals and spots in shades of yellow and teal. The greeting came free with a magazine as part of a bigger stamp set.

A very simple card but of course that's what the concept of Less Is More is all about.

CASE'd Birthday Card

I've been clearing out some old papercraft magazines and came across this pretty card in an old issue of Simply Cards and Papercraft from January 2014.

I found this card very easy on the eye and was inspired to create my own version...

I copied exactly (CASE'd) some elements of the card and added my own touch to other elements. I'm pleased with the result. The patterned paper and the bird sticker are from The Range, the heart die is from Provo Craft, the greeting was created in Publisher and the embossing folder came free with a magazine. As embellishments I've added a tiny wooden heart and a trio of green pearls.
