Football Bear

Working from home is the pits! Everything seems to take twice as long and I'm really missing the social aspect of work and my colleagues.

Crafting is keeping me sane! Or at least moving and touching my stash is - I'm struggling to make cards but I'm loving sorting my stuff!

I came across a very old decoupage sheet from La Pashe and couldn't resist making this cutie for a small boy...

I do love decoupage. I know it's a bit old school but I get a lot of satisfaction from the cutting out. I've used the patterned paper that came with the image as backing and added some blue matting. The strip of wood patterned paper under the image is to mirror the fence in the image. I couldn't resist adding a couple of cute die cut clouds as embellishments. I used a sticker for the greeting.

I'm playing along with the challenges at:

Craft Rocket Challenge #69 - furry friends TOP 5
Aud Sentiments #248 - AG with a sentiment

Baby Shower

I hope everybody reading this has had a lovely break over the festive season.

I was lucky to receive lots of crafty goodies from Santa! Amongst my favourite pressies were some pastel Spectrum Noir pens and some Clearly Besotted stamps and dies - I can't wait to start playing.

However, today's card is for an imminent Baby Shower - we have no idea whether the baby is a boy or a girl so I have used the baby neutral colours of yellow and mint green...

The polka dot patterned paper and yellow matting papers are from my scraps stash  - the light has interfered with the colour of the yellow paper - it is a lot paler in real life. The epoxy stickers are seriously old - maybe either Memory Makers or K & Co.

I'm playing along with the current challenges at:

Just Us Girls - wild card
Southern Girls Challenge - anything goes
Cute Card Thursday - anything goes
Allsorts Challenge #551 - anything goes
Pixie's Snippets Playground #368 - use snippets

Many thanks for visiting
Best wishes for a happy and prosperous 2020

Gaming Birthday Boy

Today's card is for a little boy who loves playing on his PlayStation...

I've really raided my stash for this one! The papers came from a Making Cards Magazine from about 10 years ago. The image is of course from Lili Of The Valley - from an art pad which are discontinued (why do companies discontinue their best products???)

I've matted all the papers on red and blue card and added a greeting created in Microsoft Publisher.

I'm entering this card into the challenges at:

Simple Baptism Card

I needed to make a quick card for a baby girl's baptism this weekend and was inspired by some unbranded dies I recently received from the slow boat from China (Ali Express!).

All my card seem very plain and simple at the moment (ie boring) - I just can't seem to get into the glittery glitzy mode I need to be in to make Christmas cards.

I think white on white cards always look good for religious events so I just layered the different dies to add interest. The greeting was computer generated and I added a few pale pink pearls to show it's for a baby girl.

Tiny Dancer

Today's card is for my niece Lucy who has just turned 10...

The image is from a topper sheet by Buzzcraft that I got at a recent Ross Papercraft fair. It's very cute and ideal for a little girl who loves dancing. I matted the image on a subtly pink patterned paper and mounted on panels of the patterned paper that came with the image.

I added a greeting created using Candy Round font and added the age using small number dies.

Isla's Baptism

Today I'm sharing a plain and simple baptism card I made for a baby girl who was baptised yesterday. I've kept the design very simple but used stripe embossed base card to add some interest.

I think the both the crucifix die and the scalloped oval die were from Marianne. I've mounted the cross on some pale pink card, fussy cut and added a criss-cross ribbon and pearl. The sentiment was done in Publisher using Formal 365 font.

Jurassic World

A quick share today - a card with a Jurassic theme for my friend's little boy Oscar...

I found the film logo on line and printed it and mounted it using foam pads. The papers are from my stash - from packs from Lidl or Aldi.

I had a party hat digi that I coloured, fussy-cut and stuck artistically (!) on the dinosaur's head. the greeting was printed using a Jurassic font.

It didn't take long but works well for a dinosaur mad soon-to be 8 year old.

Princess Robyn

Today's card was a request for a little girl who is about to turn 4...

I used an image of Disney Princess Aurora I found via Pinterest and layered it on die-cut circles. The backing papers are from my ever increasing stash and the greeting was printed in Publisher.

It's soooo pink!! I'm sure it will be very appealing to a 4 year old!

Lewis Turns 10

Today's card was an order for a young boy - Lewis - who is about to turn 10...

I've used a pre-coloured image from an old art pad from Lili of the Valley - I do wish they still sold these pads! The papers are from my stash and I've added a die cut banner and peel-off letters to spell his name. The age is also coloured peel-offs on die-cut circles.

Polka Dots and Daisies

Today's card is for my Niece, Lucy who is turning 9 later this month. She'll be in Disney World in Florida for her birthday so I needed to make this early...

I've used lots of dies on this one! I was inspired by a card I made a few months ago using a Crafts-U-Print design. I wanted to make something that looks a bit more 'handmade' though. The blue and lemon polka dot papers are from my ridiculous stash of paper pads and I've used peel-offs for the name.

I'm entering this card into the challenges at:

Lil Patch of Crafty Friends #63 - anything goes
Allsorts Challenge #428 - name or number (both!)
Send A Smile 4 Kids - anything goes
Cardz 4 Gals #53 - pretty pastels

Today's card is for a little boy about to turn 2...

The dotty background paper is from a really old scrapbook kit. I die-cut balloons from co-ordinating patterned paper and added die-cut bows and peel-off 'strings'.The large number was created in Publisher using the WordArt function and carefully hand cut then matted.

Sailing In The Deep Blue Sea

I'm sharing a bit of an unusual(for me) card today.

I bought a pad of lovely glittery patterned 'summer' papers from Aldi or Lidl (to me they are the same shop) at the weekend. I needed to make a card for a toddler about to have his first birthday and used a cut-off of one of the papers as a sea scene background, with a Digistamp Boutique image 'floating' against it....

I've fussy cut the image after colouring with pro-markers and attached using foam pads. I've also cut a couple of boats from leftover paper and raised them on foam pads aswell. The greeting was made in Publisher using Cheri font. Finally I've die-cut a number '1' and added this to the sail.

I'm entering this card into the challenges at:

Always Fun Challenge #10 - male or dad
Crafty Cardmakers #190 - special man/boy
Send A Smile 4 Kids - AG for kids
