I struggled a bit with today's card as I'm not a lover of the vintage look...
I was asked to make a card for an older lady that with the brief 'old-fashioned with flowers'. Some time ago I was given a pack of patterned papers that can only be described as 'faded floral and dull' which I never thought I would use but were ideal to create a vintage feel.
I used a sticker of some lilies (I think!) mounted on a fancy Marianne oval die-cut and some pearls and a strip of lace as embellishments. The greeting was printed directly onto patterned paper.

Today's card has a very retro feel to it - I used some funky bauble patterned paper that came in one of the large patterned paper books from Crelando available at Aldi/Lidl...
I'm still loving that bauble die from my last post!
Although red is a very popular Christmas colour the combination of red, turquoise, cream and dark purple is very unusual! I added coordinating gems and pearls and used a cream linen card base.

Today's card is a further attempt to use up my ridiculous pile of stash - I've used a Crafts U Print freebie that came with a magazine. It's not my usual style of card but the colour and image really caught my eye.
I do love blue - unfortunately it isn't the most popular colour to use in card making. I've layered this decoupaged image using foam pads then added a little personal touch - some coloured art deco style peel-offs. I've also added a little bling on the head-dress with some tiny pearls coloured blue with a pro-marker. The image is mounted on some blue marble effect patterned paper and the greeting came with the decoupage sheet.
I'm currently making a mixture of cards for an older lady and I'm sure this is ideal.
