Lesbians and Straight Men Have Similar Brains

well new studies are out, finding that gay men and straight women not only have similar brains, but there is a relation with lesbians and straight men, when it comes too -- that's right our brains.

MRI and PET scan studies are showing remarkable similarities between the brains of gay men and straight women, and between those of lesbians and straight men.

For example, the brains of straight men and of gay women share certain common features: both are slightly asymmetric, with the right hemisphere larger than the left, say the Swedish researchers.

On the other hand, the brains of gay men and straight women are both symmetrical.

Similar trends emerged when scientists tracked connectivity in the amygdala, the region of the brain involved in emotional learning and in activating the fight-or-flight response. They noted strong similarities between gay men and straight women, and lesbians and straight men.

DOCTOR OFFERS SEX CHANGES FOR KIDS

I found this over at Illseed Blog it fell under the category of 'Signs The World is Coming To An End' lol and it's okay, I'm just glad it was posted for my discovery anyway.

Dr. Norman Spack, a pediatric specialist at the hospital, has launched a clinic for transgendered kids — boys who feel like girls, girls who want to be boys — and he’s opening his doors to patients as young as 7.

Spack offers his younger patients counseling and drugs that delay the onset of puberty. The drugs stop the natural flood of hormones that would make it difficult to have a sex alteration later in life, allowing patients more time to decide whether they want to make the change.

(Wow, seven is very young in age. Yet, I've known 3 people who by age 5 displayed they just weren't gay/lesbian, but they were transgendered. All three are young adults now in the process of transitioning.)

There is one last comment I'd like to make in response to this article --

“Just because modern medicine can accomplish certain things does not mean that these procedures should be done,” said Nimocks. “That’s the mindset of a Dr. Kevorkian, and he wound up in jail.”

Women Can Produce Their Own Sperm

This was the greatest story I have read in a long time and I found it by way of Feministing the title No dick necessary.

In the near future, women may be able to start producing their own sperm, but let's not start jumping all the way up and down. If this does happen we will only be able to have girls. Wow... a Feministing Nation!

This may seem that it goes absolutely against nature, but remember when the idea of test tube babies was introduced? I think this is wonderful. Especially for lesbian couples who want children. And, for the single woman that so badly wants children.

Food for thought, I wonder if this would cut down on the mothers standing in the welfare lines. Why? Because fathers and daddy's have ran out. Mama's Baby and Daddy's Maybe.

Yeah right!

I was almost got for a moment. In this day in age pretty much anything is possible. From test tube babies, embryo implants even sex change operations from MTF and FTM is happening everyday. Medical Science has come along ways but this through me for a loop to say the least.

Listening to Mr. Lee speak on his pregnancy was a good source of entertainment. He was unable to describe the emotions of it all, being pregnant. Now that's a true sign 'he not pregnant'. I loved the way he stood with his hands on his hip. One of the characteristics we've all seen demonstrated by a mother-to-be.

Mingwei says jealously drove him to do this. His sister was able to procreate and this brought on a certain fascination and envy so he took on this project to become the first male to give birth. Wow, pregnancy childbirth termed project. I tell ya' man. No more penis envy we now have vagina envy.

Can Males Really Give Birth?

The male Seahorse can. He has a pouch that the female inserts eggs into which are fertilized and nurtured until he gives birth. They're different species of Seahorses and depending on what kind some may birth 1,000's of little Seahorses, while others can only birth as little as 15.

Now bless the male Seahorse for carrying the burden of labor, but he still has it better than we womyn do. It only takes him about one and a half hours to accomplish and complete the process of childbirth.

Yet, within a few hours he is ready to become impregnated again. Oops!
