Interfraternity Council Recruitment
IFC fraternities at UNM welcome men through a relaxed, relationship-based recruitment process that takes place during the first few weeks of the fall semester.
To participate, students must complete the IFC recruitment registration form in advance. Registration is not a commitment to join—it’s simply how you express interest and get connected to chapters and events.
Recruitment kicks off with IFC Kickoff on Sunday, August 18 at 6:00 PM in SUB Ballroom C, where you’ll meet every fraternity and learn more about what each one offers. During the first week, you’re encouraged to attend events hosted by all chapters to find the best fit. Bids (invitations to join) will begin being distributed in the second week of recruitment.

National Pan-Hellenic Council Recruitment
NPHC is home to historically Black fraternities and sororities, each with its own membership intake process. These organizations host events and informational sessions—often called interest or “rush” events—throughout the academic year, with most activity happening in the early fall.
Because each chapter manages its own timeline and requirements, the best first step is to complete the NPHC interest form so we can connect you with the right organizations.
If you’re looking for a rich legacy of service, scholarship, and cultural pride, NPHC is a powerful place to start your journey.
