I usually post Free Printable Images as a thank you gift each season and below is our 2014 Free Easter Printable (for personal use only please). I wanted to keep this cute lamb free of words so it can be used for a child's birthday card or room decor project as well. Simply left click on the image and right click it to save to a picture folder.  It's 4" x 5" at 300 dpi, so you can easily change it to 200 dpi and it will be 6" x 7.5"

Below is last years Free Easter Printable and you can see a great door sample plaque Vicki Chrisman recently created using this image on a faux silver tray on her Blog.

Here's another past Free Easter Printable with cute kids.

A Printable April Poem

Look at the sweet faces on these children singing below on this past Easter Printable

Here's a poem I posted with the music above back in 2009

This is one of our oldest Easter Printables from 2008, before I knew how to repair damaged images but I fixed this one and cleaned it up.

See the sample below showing this poem reduced down and printed to create a tiny book

Way back in 2008 we ran a contest with the angel image and this was the winning entry buy Joanne North from the UK and you can see the others.  I love how she cut the angel out and added the poem.

Okay, now I have some new samples by our DT Ladies to share. Leader Kathy Clement made this sweet card using an image from our Easter Postcard Set,

I love this adorable and clever idea that DT Member Michele Kovack used to make an 'egg frame' and add create chicken legs to hold it up. Michele used one of the cute digi stamps from our Bunny Hop Set.

DT Member Darlene Pavlick created this pretty Garden Lady Birthday card using an image from our 2 page Garden Printable Set.

DT Member Elizabeth Lincoln created this stunning card using a blade to cut this image from our Easter Floral Blessings Set

Elizabeth also designed this cool gate fold card and decorated it with our Pixie Dust Digital Set.  You can see the gate open inside the card on her blog

DT Member Cherry Nelson created an adorable mini Baby Album and used our Baby Girl Stamp Set, an image from our Little Blessings Scraps and some of our Printable Papers.

2 Digital Scrapbook Page Tutorials, Rooster Card and Spring Projects!

Hi Everyone,

I'm late as usual, it seems like the story of my life, but I just can't post something until I'm happy with it and this week has been full of distractions from a house full of company to a engaged daughter and wedding planning!  I was planning on making an altered box but wasn't happy with it and put it on the shelf and did a digital page for the scrapbook I'm making for my niece and nephew.

They have been coming here weekdays for the past 4 years as my mom (who lives downstairs) babysits them for my brother and we feel so close to them it's almost like they are our grandchildren.

I did a Tutorial Using Photoshop Elements as I've been working on new designs and realized that Paint can lower the quality of a file (Paint.net is better and will save high quality) but I'm trying to improve my skills at Photoshop Elements and I'm amazed at what it can do considering you can find it for  $60.00 on sale.    I love having everything in 1 spot so the first thing I do when I'm starting a digital project is copy all the designs I want to use into 1 folder.  I deleted about 7 items I didn't use but it's nice to have an array to choose from.

I made a smaller page but it's easy to do digitally as you can resize everything.  I used some of our 99 cent papers 222 Red Teal Floral Paper  and our Green Damask.  The recipe cards, hankie, paper clip, flower, cream brad are all from CD #1 Creating With Vintage Patterns.

I also wanted to add drop shadows to my frames and designs and I hope this explains it. You can always hit your un-do button under Edit, so play and try different effects.

I also wanted to show how to add text. Many of you may know how to do this but we also have many people just learning digital.  You can also print all of these papers and designs and do a traditional layered page and use glue, pop dots and all of the traditional techniques.   I'm going to have a hardcover scrapbook printed so I opted for digital.

Here is a cool Tutorial by Sheila Rumney on Using Digital Stamps to add Texture to Paper.

Here's a great rooster card by DT Member Michele Kovack using Farm Chicks Stamp Set and after she colored it with her Copic Markers she also stitched it in multiple layers with her sewing machine. Sewing on paper can get addictive and it doesn't have to be perfect!

We have a new Spring Banner Printable Set and DT Member Kathy Clement created some adorable cards you can see on her blog and this one below.

DT Member Vicki Chrisman also was inspired by the Spring Banner Set and did her own take using the Blank Banners as well with several printable papers from CD #1.

DT Member Darlene Pavlick created some really pretty Easter treat packs with our Mini Boxes and she also used some printable papers to create Hershey Wrappers with Gift Tags for some big chocolate Bars

I have to spill the beans - our youngest daughter and her boyfriend for past 4 years just got engaged! They met at college where they both got their degrees in Theraputic Recreation and I've always said when we get old I want them to run our recreation program! They are a great couple and I'm so excited they are tying the knot this Sept.

 Have a great weekend!

Welcome to March Linky Party & Spring DT Challenge

Hi Everyone,

It's our March Linky Party and our Design Team Challenge and this month the theme is Spring. You don't need to post a 'Spring' sample to enter our Linky Party.  You can post a photo of anything you have created using a Crafty Secrets product and enter it below.  All we ask is that you tell us what you used to create it and please add a link if here possible.  Also scroll below to see winner for all 5 Easter -Spring theme Digital Stamp Sets!

Come see what fabulous creations our Design Team ladies have created and then come back to see my project below.

Vicki Chrisman -Team Leader

Michele Kovack

Darlene Pavlick

Melissa Bove

Rebekah Faries

The lucky winner was #48 Brenda Evans Brenda, you can have all 5 Easter-Spring theme Digital Art Stamp Sets or pick any digital items of $40.75

I used CD 2, Creating with Vintage Illustrations to make a few samples using the same image three different ways

I printed my image on canvas and added it to a 6" embroidery hoop. I wanted to use the cute bird from the corner of the paper so I cut and added it but then for the card I pasted the bird at the top of the nest and added the roses. I think I like the twig and need to stitch it on across the bottom.  The nice thing about embroidery hoops is that you can easily switch the image out to suit an occasion and the seasons.

I love the pop of color the pink roses add.
This is a little gift tag below I made.  I used the oval shaped icon on the Paint program to make a brown circle and just cut around it.  If you own any of our CD's and you have Photoshop Elements; each CD has a fantastic step by step tutorial by digital expert Patty Debowski from thedigitalscrapbookteacher.com   The tutorial is the same on each CD and covers all the basics. Patty included thumbnail photos and easy to understand instructions on:  Making a Blank File, How to Change Colors, Building a Layered Project, Adding Text, Adding Drop Shadows, Cropping a Scrapbook Page, How to Use a Paper Pattern Overlay, Using Blending Modes, and Adding Texture.

I hung it over our telephone desk in a little bare spot.  I wanted to add some little copper color seed beads to the nest last night but couldn't find a needle skinny enough.Has anyone ever done seed beading and is it easy?  Is there a trick to it or do you just stitch them on? Hey, I just remembered I can ask my friend Google how to seed bead.

Now it's your turn to add a sample you have created using any of our products!  You have all week to submit anything you have created using our products. A random.org Winner will be announced next Mon, Mar 11/13 to WIN a $50.00 Crafty Secrets Gift Certificate.  Don't be shy - come play because every person that enters will receive a $6.00 coupon code to use in our www.craftyvintagegirl.com Store!

Wishing you joy and creativity
