Goodbye my Friend

Image
Good Morning my dear blog reader, this is a special blog post with some of my personal favorite creations. Which I created for the company Scrapfx. Surely you have already heard that Jill the owner of the company Scrapfx is retiring on June 30th. That means I`m going to retire too :). After many years working for Jill, she has become a good friend. We never know where life will take us, but the time together through all the years, made a fantastic workship, at least for me :). I couldn`t have done better with you as my friend and boss. I wish you all the best in your new phase of life. It was an honor to work and create for you, my dear friend Jill. With a crying eye and a laughing eye, I would say Goodbye. Above a collage art journal page. Here is the link to the collage paper from ScrapFx: https://www.scrapfx.com.au/store/index.php? main_page=index&cPath=68&zenid=94fecdqhd9bd7g7fc5bd33a497 Above a scrapbook layout in mixed media style with a background stencil design. Altered Paper Bag

Image
Hello everyone, and welcome to my design team inspiration for the company Scrapfx. I want to go out and feel you my dearest SPRING, and I will become creative by your beautiful colours. I never thought that I would ever say, Spring fascinates and inspires me so much, but it is true. As an Autumn person, I am beginning to love and feel Spring as my beloved Autumn. That is the reason why I love the beautiful leaves collage paper from ScrapFx so much. I created this time a paper-bag which I will use for a gift-bag. The kraft paper-bag has the size 20cm by 30cm. A closer look to my paper-bag: I started with a white gesso layer on my bag. After my layer was dry I added randomly black ink stamp images. Therefore I used the ScrapFx stamp, chickenwire. I decided I needed a little bit texture, so I added a mix of multipurpose gel medium and green metallic paint together and I used the mix with a ScrapFx stencil on my  background.  For my focale cluster I used a photo from an anim...

You are growing so fast..

Hello my dearest blog reader, today`s sharing is for the company ScrapFx. I created a scrapbook layout with the beautiful faces collage paper called Contour face C silhouette leaves and transparency leaf. This is quite a easy page to do. I used for my background yupo. Yupo is a fantastic material to work with. It is perfect for watercolor and India inkt. You cannot use acrylic paint on Yupo that will not work. You can find Yupo in well- stocked art stores. Unfortunately, Yupo isn't that cheap, but it's worth it if you want to experiment with Indian- ink and wattercolor. But anyway... You are growing so fast. I used from ScrapFx: Contour face C:  leafy stem stamp:  ferny fronds black silhouette:  leaves and branches transparency:  Here is the link to Scrapfx:  https://www.scrapfx.com.au/store/  I have also a Facebook page link for you. https://www.facebook.com/scrapfx I hope you like my inspiration and you feel a little bit inspired to create with the ...

Please Notice This...

Hello and welcome to my  ScrapFx art journal inspiration. This time I was inspired by a quote from  Kurt Vonnegut, an American writer, known for his satire and black humor  through to his science-fiction novels. "And I urge you to  PLEASE NOTICE when you are happy, and exclaim or murmur or think at some point, If this isn`t nice,  I don`t know what is". -Kurt Vonnegut- I love art journal pages that I make with watercolor, they are easy to make and they are also good for learnig how to use watercolor. In contrast to my 3D effect scrapbook pages in mixed media style I like it when my art journal pages are flat. But anyway. Here is my ScrapFx inspiration for you. Please Notice This... This is quite a simple and easy art journal page on a DIN4 watercolor paper sheet. I started with the ScrapFx stencil crosshatch and a thick layer of 13arts multipurpose gel medium which I covered in yellow embossing glaze. After the embossing glaze heating was done. I added 13...

Yes to all the things...

Image
Hello everyone, and welome to my  ScrapFx design team inspiration. I created an art journal page in blue and yellow colours. Sometimes I don`t feel like creating mixed media pages but simple art  journal pages are just the right thing to stay in the flow. All the things lost. No matter how sweet the salt we pushed so hard we finally broke oh, no words could ever help relieve this pain. All our silence could not excuse These are the first lines of the song from MS MR called  "all the things lost" Music can be so inspiring and sometimes I let myself be carried away and completley immersed in music and art. Are you also inspired by music? Yes to all the things... I used a DIN4 watercolour paper.  I started with glueing the collage paper first after that I added the watercolour randomly. Next step was glueing the transparency, film strips and photo. Here are the products which I used on my art journal page. film strips snarky quotes skulls transparency scribbles c...

Don`t hold back...

Image
Hello everyone, and welcome to my  ScrapFx April design team inspiration. Don`t hold back Is there anybody out there feeling something? Engage me let me breathe the courage of your actions. Don`t hold back make it be for the good.. (The Potbelleez) These are the first lines of the single from The Potbelleez an Australia band. I created a scrapbook layout in mixed media style with the amazing products from Scrapfx. Don`t hold back... A closer look to my page. I started on an old 7Dots paper sheet called soulmates with adding Distress Ink colour to the cross window stencil from ScrapFx. After that I stamped with Versafine ink and the plus collage stamp from ScrapFx. I added to the wet stamp image WOW embossing powder. After the embossing was done I stamped with the chickenwire stamp and the scratching & scribble stamp. The next step was adding black gesso and lots of splattering. After that I painted some of the chickenwire hexagon stamp images with a turquise posca pen. F...

"I`m not responsible" mini book

Image
Hello  and welcome to my third blog post for the company  ScrapFx This time I created for you as inspiration an art mini book. I used a DIN 3 size vanilla cream color cardstock paper . With some folding and cutting I designed a perfect little book. I love this kind of art, as a gift for friends instead of buying gifts. I`m not responsible... I used from ScrapFX: Skull Transparencies anatomy collage paper                                                                     chickenwire stamp                                                                     chevron panel stamp                   ...
