A "shot" from happy times when work-life was buzzing.
Some bitter-sweet memory to join Elizabeth´s T. But life ain´t that bad atm.
The journal:
Monday: ... started with a huge surprise! My new teacher let me know I Idid a great job :-) She is happy with me, and "astonished". Maybe she thinks I am 20? Either way: I am motivated!
It was very tough stuff again, though, and I was too tired for the walking pad.
Quick dash to REWE (supermarket) - "cute bonnet!", I was shouted at. From a man, too 🧡
The little joys of the dark time of the year, aka winter.
Tuesday: Sunny, but -2C / 28F. Went to my Greek doc who was freezing, too.
But, oh, the sunshine, soooo wonderful. Treated myself with a croissant. Couldn´t eat it all.
HAAA!!!! Last year I went to ALDI in Madeley/Perth and got myself some self-raising flour.
And finally I found something quick and easy, the hearty one it will be, thank you, Jamie:
"President Donald Trump has halted all military aid to Ukraine, following recent clashes with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The pause will last until President Trump decides Zelenskyy is committed to peace"? Commited to strip would rather name it... (source) In Germany a single person, not even the chancellor, can NOT make a decision by himself. We call that democracy...
I keep these "infos" just for being able to eventually follow how this darn war evolved- to not forget who stood together for help... and those "leaders" (not the people!!!) who do not.
FB shows many American cities with the Ukrainian flag (should´ve copied some in!!!!).
Wednesday: Tough studies. To 3a I got: "perfect" - this motivates! This and that - thanks to Ingo - I have OpenOffice´s follower and can create .docx-files!
For weeks I blamed neighbor above for the noise of a clock ringing for 5 minutes.
Today the darn thing got off as I wanted to make tea.
Ingo´s room. As I can´t hear much anymore on right ear it took me a whole minute to locate the "clock". Can you imagine how helpless one feels? WHERE does that noise come from?! I know things could be worse but this is not nice.
Glad I didn´t tell off the neighbor...
Thursday: Forms, forms, forms to get money from the job-agency soon... They want proof from Brunel (2021-2022). This is Germany. Work hard, get tortured. Walk in illegally, get money. To top it: Taxes-lady called, something went wrong, have to look into that.
But, studies: Chunk 1 is on green (passed), phew. Chunk 2 was but for myself, Chunk 3 I´m at.
"The
US has cut off intelligence-sharing with Kyiv in a move that could
seriously hamper the Ukrainian military’s ability to target Russian
forces." On and on it goes...
Baby Musk takes STARLINK from Ukraine away. Let´s hope European EUTELSAT can make up.
Friday: Chunk 3: 1-4 (of 6) passed.
Supernice the new teacher is. "Sadly" teams took not my cam but the TV-source - she laughed her head off! She told me to work: LESS! To not take it that serious. Hm...?
And, weeeee....
Weekend: Saturday: Cold, but the sun was out and about so I went to the city aaaaand....
Buona giorno .... first...
...2025! Counts as munchy.
The dude just came back from Italy (in winter they are closed and go home) so his German was still a bit rusty and hence he spoke Italian - love that language 🥰.
Ingo found green peppers and... yum to see on Thursday. Will last a looong time.
Ingo also got "Night at the Museum", I knew 1+2 and started with that... Rexi! 😘
"Curse of the Fly" I had to let go of. Boooooring.
Sunday: Docu on "hochdeutsch" (what we speak, high-German). Am I glad I just grew up with this! How people from Bavaria, Saxony and Co learn this. If they want to!
Oh so often I sat there clueless. They used fingers and toilet paper-rolls to "get" it.
Wurscht > Wurst. Ons, zwo, dro > eins, zwei, drei.
Chapeau to those guys! We simply speak as we write, they have to learn the writing separate!
"Night at The Museum" #2: "We´re Americans - we don´t plan, we DO!!!"
Yes!!! Stupid German plans and does nothing...
"Not just cars: these things were invented in Germany
In 1887, Emil Berliner registered a disc-shaped object, the record. Part of the patent was also a recording and playback device - the original gramophone."
If you keep studying hard, maybe...
