Cycling Is F.U.N.!

Now I understand those people who say cycling is fun!!! I missed out on it for-- lets say 30 years?! Thirty!!! Years!

With aged 37 I have my first real bike! And cycling is fun! I love it! And we did it so much this weekend!

I always got the old bikes from... my Mom. They were still good enough. Yes. Good enough to get from A to B.
I got exhausted - and angry!! when we went for a "tour" because Ingo was always so fast - and seemingly so easily fast.

Seemingly??? No!

With my new bike... I don´t have to do anything! It runs on its own! Guess I didn´t burn a calorie at all! ;-)

Pics:

Yips - we went far - we even took the Navi!
Me and my new love bike:

A Lion - I think he looks sad - Ingo says he looks friendly - what do you think?

We stopped at the Okercabana (German), named after the river Oker - isn´t really Hawaii, but, nearly:

Was sweet.

Sand, oh, this so great!!! They bring the sand in here the.. 3rd or 4th summer now!

Oh, yeah... when I think back to May last year when we sneaked outta hospital...

Everything turned out ok after all, see this man?

"Alive and kicking"!!!

It´s still not running that smooth, though, I lost a pedal at full speed!

Luckily Ingo had his Leatherman with him and fixed it all ok:

We made another stop at beer garden Katharina...

Haha, just a joke... we had Alster or Radler, a mixture with beer and lemonade :-)

Yay for summer - yay for my first "real" bike!! Better late than never, huh?!

Bluccoli

Blumenkohl (cauliflower) and Broccoli in one package :-)

Moo - Moooooh!!! Part II

I forgot in the first part to mention I also bought my very own "Mastercard", from which I´ll have brekkie now (what do you call that thing? We call it Frühstücksbrett):

My Mom loves fried eggs, hence she´ll get this one:

Speaking of food - we just had "Caribbean" food, yum:

My calendar sheet today said:

Will be there tonight at 0:00.

Your Summer.

Keep your fingers crossed!!! It´s been rather cold so far!

Summer starts officially on June, 21st.
Means also: Longest day, shortest night. Means: The days are getting shorter - what a pity!!!!

Article 5 Has Passed Away

"There shall be no censorship." is no more. You can find the document RIP in Englsh here or read more here.

#censursula, Minister for Family Affairs Ursula von der Leyen, who started the whole thing, didn´t even find it worthy to show up yesterday.
I mean, seriously...!!!
And I wonder, will the over 130,000 people singning the e-Petition really be ignored? Do we live in democracy?

Moo - Moooooh!!!

That´s cow-ish for "Pressies! Pressies!!!"

I saw something cute at pigmento (German), but Ingo said, naaah, the postal charges will be higher than what you buy!

Right, man! So true.
And since Ingo was so sick last year I just know it can be over any time and you can´t take anything with ya on the last journey.

So I made sure I´m (waaay) over the postal charges ;-)!!

Our cow is in good company with this milk jug - isn´t that too cool?

We´re talking kitchen, right?
My Bro loves snowboarding. I know you don´t need a ski stick for snowboarding, but... for x-mas he´ll get this:

This is a potatoe-masher!
(Yes. I bought that for Christmas. For December. I always buy when I see and avoid the rush at the actual time.)

Hmmmm... when you cook... and it´s cold outside, then the windows get steamy, right?
This is a window cleaner. My Bro as well as my Mom are/were both into gymnastics (my Bro can still make a ... Riesenfelge (German, but with animated .gif) without exercising! Right from where he is, just like that!
So, I bought one in black and one in pink.

Make sure the door doesn´t close shut with a loud BANG!, right?

A door stopper - for me!

Cleaning... Well, I was about naming this post "My Brother HAS to marry" because the packing says "Just married" - I didn´t see that online (I could have!).
It´s an emperor and his wife as dustpan and our name is "Emperor" (Kaiser), hence...

Dirty after all the cooking and cleaning? I recommend a bath!

My Mom always wanted a bath-tub and never had one! They have a whole house! No bath tub!!!! Yes, better for environment, but, gah...

In the new apartment she hopefully moves to soon she has one and she can sail the world with this:

Certainly you don´t take a bath that often, save water! Use a sink!

Actually I seldom use paper-clips, but I thought this was so funny:

I now come to what I wanted to have in the first place, maybe you can guess... it fits perfectly to my beloved (really, I enjoy him every day I can wear him!!!) King Frog-chain:

A key ring! Those spices are in a tiny tin - a pressie from Ingo, also a key ring, with real spices!
Sadly the frog is of bad quality - see his right foot. I get the money back and can keep him - any idea how to safe the green from chipping off???

Along with him came yet another King-Frog (sadly same "quality"):

Isn´t that one of the cutest things???? I looove him!
(You can click to enlarge, like for all pics)

Last not least I bought a rather ridicously expensive door-mat for my Mom´s new apartment - I hope it´ll make her smile when coming "home" in the future:

Just what did we do before Internet? Online Shops?
I just love pressies, no matter for whom!

Yes. You noticed right: Not a darn thing for Ingo.

Honestly - I searched for a surprise, really!
Nothing! Nothing he´d like!

But I realise there is one thing I missed out on, two! It´s dark now, will take pics tomorrow!
(Nothing for Ingo, though!)

Don´t you just love pressies?! Awwww!

I Had A Bit On The Side

... and Ingo didn´t even mind!
Dunno bout Nico, though...

But from the start.
We went to our old place today. Ingo went to see a friend and I went to meet my family. Like an ooold couple we had snacks on board:

Very yummy blueberries.

There was more eating, yummy horse-sausages:

Dunno why, but we can´t get them here in Braunschweig. Or haven´t found them yet.

Reason why my Mom wanted to see me this weekend was:

My haul:

YUMMY!!!!! The tree was loaden with cherries! Such a pleasure to see! And even more to eat :-)

Back to the start. The other day Ingo went there, to Bornhausen, to work on the moped. He drove to Seesen to get me a 10 without ham - but Nico didn´t open up! I asked my Mom if Nico is on holiday, because when I come "home" I wanna have one! She told me, hmm, there is a new Pizza-restaurant and people say it´s great.

Ingo said, why not go to Nico, you know it´s good!

But I always wanna try new stuff and I kinda had a bit on the side, so to say:

Was yummy!
But next time I go back to Nico!

Was good to be "home" again, great to see my Mom and my Bro.

Green Is As Green Does

Awww, seesh. Could´t find that on the internet, how come? Will take a pic - was a T-Shirt my Bro brought me home from a holiday: Kermit sitting on a bench, white-red suitcase by his shoes, à la Forrest Gump :-)

Anyhows (I´ll come to frogs later, too)...

Monday we went to the hardware-Store to bring back a piece for my bike we didn´t need for the repair after the theft.

Was 3 euro something and I came back with... A - Whole - New - Bike!!!!!!

After I was fighting around with the darn ole, heavy bike my Mom gave me, we saw - and took - this "beauty" - a leightweight for only 99 euro! Sadly a men´s bike (the women´s-version was heavier), but I´ll learn!

Still gotta say thank you online - there was a really very, very friendly woman at the store who gave us tools and didn´t mind to find the right air pump for us/the bike either (I certainly thanked her personally straight away, just wanna make sure her boss knows about it, too)! First thing to do in my lunch-break tomorrow!
Really, she was obviously enjoying her job, it was great. (Here in Germany?) We have the saying "the customer is the King" - and I felt like one!

Took the bike up into our apartment and made use of the leftover paint from the now green shelf, and - tadaa:

Doesn´t look like a super-new lightweight bike anymore, no? Just like an ole bike not worth stealing! Cross your fingers people buy that!

Every Body Comes To

Hollywood...

Sorry if you got that earworm now... I meant to talk about my Hollywood-Schaukel (German), or Porch Swing, as you call it.

It´s done! Project finished - much to Ingo´s help!!!

I love the green feathers on top! No worries, if they turn into dustballs, I just throw em away - I glued them on wrapping film and pinned that on with needles, yeah, clever-head, me, no? ;-)
Ingo hates them, but, well...

Wanna see the underpart of the young man? (Did you see him, to the left?), here we go, the full swing:

A few weeks ago we went through all the shops in search of a chain of lights - with summer on the way, I expected to find some... no success. Until today!!! YAY!

I just love it. To much kitsch? HA! I don´t care! I call it Poppy Seeds! (You can click to enlarge) :-)

New "Trick"

.. Ingo told me. The radish was dry and had wrinkles - just put it into water and voilà: Good again, fresh and full! :-)

Yum? Yum, Partially! Europe...

Ingo is always on the experimental side.

Thanks to The Simpsons - or rather, well to Moe Szyslak - Ingo started making Pickled eggs. First ones were rather very salty, now he tried the Chili-version, let´s see tomorrow - looks yummy so far!:

Not so yummy was - in my eyes - the stuff from Italy (why, just why always Ingo and Italy?!!!).
Looked freaky in the internet, looked even freakier when we had it home - and, certainly, I did not join in! Eeeeeeek to Zampone (German) - a filled pig-foot (Ingo found this English site... yeah, gotta go into defence here ;-) :

But, will you believe it... there was something yummy indeed after all in the box from Italy! The packing! Is made from corn - corn-flips - they taste really good (and yes, they say it is edible) and they are rather low in calories, yay:

You don´t like corn? No worries, just put it into your compost!

Else... it got darn cold, we call it Sheep-coldness (German). Temps have been getting down by 10 C! One day you have end 20, next only 18C!
It usually starts around June 11th - when the sheep-shearing is already done, which can get dangerous for the poor fellas.

Gack! Search for a pic gave me this!!!

And by a German site, too, http://www.killersheep.de/!

I want summer back! My flowers and plants what summer back!

Busy weekend ahead for us. Sat another footy game - Sun we are to vote...

Just. Whom. Should I vote?! Elections in the European Union are due... and heck, I´m so unsure. Yep, did the tests and all, still... but then. Do I make a difference?

Anyone?

So, went to IKEA today for dinner.

Actually we met in Wolfsburg to have a look at a place to keep the Moped - turned out ok! Now all Ingo needs to do... haha, is get her running and through TÜV.

Back to the IKEA-Story... Usually you got a Hot Dog and a Refill for 1,50 €.

Now we had to look twice: Hot Dog and Refill 1 €. Hello?
Tasted bad.
We both don´t feel good.
Is IKEA into Gammelfleisch (German)/old meet?

How at other places? A drop of a third, too?

Eek. We´re off.
