Not All 70´s Was Great

We live in this condo the 6th year and not once did we use our "fireplace":

So I decided I wanna give it away and buy a shelf instead, so I can store the DVDs and such.
The shelf would be available mid-February, cost: €25.
But. I wanted it now, right?

So, I bought a cupboard for €14,99, like this one:

And will throw away the doors :-)
Do I tell?
This was the first time I assembled a bought piece of furniture.
The bottom... ummm.... wrong side up.
But... huh cares, right? The green "door" that covered the fireplace covers now this.
And sure as hell... that failure won´t strike again, so actually luckily this happened on this cheapy!

I had to pull the green board, that I built myself (read: helped building when I did a training pre-studying) in... 1989, a few centimeters to the right and when something fell down I found these magazines I´d totally forgotten about!

Now I can find out how girls wished men would be in 1976!

Memories...

I think it was DM2,20 Mum gave me when I was a kid, to buy her a package.
These days you have to be 18 to buy cigarettes.

Uhhh....

Glasses and hairdos sure were horrible back then, but my, did I love those trousers and shoes!

Happy, though I´m an adult now and not in the 70´s!
There are some very nice people I would have to miss out on without the internet!

Oh you have been creative Iris, I love being able to create something new out of something old.. or should I say telling Pat what I want and he makes it :) I think these days we've got too used to throwing things away and getting new.. somehow to me that's not so satisfying! What a find, the two old magazines, so fun to look back and see fashions then.

Lucky you Pat does it! Ingo now says, I can do that myself, so: do. And really. Not fun (but he is actually right).
Yes, I really plan to browse through the magazines!
