To Start And End With
So from the hospital I cycled to the "medicine-plant-garden" of our technical university, the Arzneipflanzengarten, they had open "house" and a lesson on balcony-herbs.
Sadly one very boring hour and unlike some others I was too polite to just leave...
At least there were some pretty plants as well, as this one:
Herbs, herbs, herbs...
No idea what this was?
65% chance of rain? The sun came out and I wore no protection, uh-oh.
But all went well :-)
Fun was when the endless monologe was kinda interupted by a concert of guys living here:
Gosh, they were LOUD!
And sadly invisible.
In case you expected a pic of a frog... maybe this will do a bit?
And yes, I went to work like that.
We´re a cool bunch. The customer nearly gave me a kiss ;-)
Just have to sneak in the stuff I posted at FB as proof:
There was a note the other week that we are not to open the windows wide, the window sill is too low (has been the last 15 years...).
M opens the window wide, remembers, closes the window with the words, "right, isn´t allowed anymore. Shoot, and I wanted to jump."
T: "Why don´t you to the top level for that so we don´t have to see you doin it..."
We´re some lovely office, no?
Love customer/colleagues, am thankful for them, very!
Aaaaaaand!!!!
I was too surprised to even think of taking a pic - Ingo waited for me in the hallway!
OP went well (ok, the doc said... "at first it went crap. The darn thing got stuck and we had to start at zero again but then it was like 'milking a cow'" (some saying).
Yay-yay-yay - I expected to find him curled up in the bed!
Post-title, right?
These I love best, always:
Hopefully I find Ingo home when I come back - yearly boss-talk today... nothing positive to report, naturally.
Report on Ingo.. bet without indication...

Just As Yummy
You wouldn´t think this is a hospital, no?
Could be a museum, right, a gallery...
Chance of rain yesterday: 65% and it had cooled down a bit, so we wandered the floors and Ingo showed me also these:
.... and wondered not if but when someone would realize if we exchanged these two:
I´d rather said never, but we were chicken and didn´t do it.
Instead we went to the cafeteria and got: Icecream! Yes. Me, sweet.
You know... there is a cafeteria.
Because the free tea and coffee and even hot chocolate in the stations are for patients.
The visiting mother and her visiting son did not only not care, no, they left a mess also.
Some peeps... just sad.
Anyhows, back to beautiful, no?
Love that Henry is dominating the artwork.
Obviously patients miss not being able to visit him!
I showed you the English phone booth before, now here is the detail - quite beautiful, no?
And not only that!
They top it!
Yes, for free!!!
Just sad they don´t provide internet for free (I know, suggestion box, I´ll have a look for that!).
I have no clue about the connection to Great Britain but it goes on here:
Also have a look at the piano - wonder if it is played at times?
The title?
I just had to smile big on this sign:
Brekkie-time
The big HEH
Bread, two crunchy breadrolls....
The small HEH
Just as yummy, only smaller
Makes sense, huh? :-)
Though I really wonder... Lunch, I would get that.
Bro and I had lunch in hospitals when visiting our Mum. Do visitors come here for brekkie or is it for patients even?!
No lunch available.
Well, hopefully the OP was today, hopefully all went well - and... maybe they have answers to all our questions.
Positive thinking!
Rain didn´t come, luckily, pics of what I did afterwards you´ll get tomorrow, if you like.
Frogs are involved! :-)

Step By Step - With Love
I don´t wanna bore you with posts from the hospital all the time, but that´s my life right now, also.
And I think if a planned hospital stay would be due for me maybe it would not be Hannover Medical School (MHH) anymore - that clinic where they saved my arm and hand.
(Or would it?).
It is all made with "love" here, I´d say.
If you have to re-learn to walk you can do it in the garden (in the nice half of the year):
There are all kinds of ground that happen to you here in one way:
The last one is even for me rather difficullt, what do you think?
If... no, when you master that, they send you from there, hospital (HEH) to Braunschweig (city), to Lower Saxony (federal state), to nation (Germany), to "landmass" (Europe):
They really should add The World Flag, no?
That and naked men statues in the garden! :-)
Step by step, btw, dunno if you can call it progress, but we got into a verbal fight, Ingo and I, yesterday.
Resulted in me leaving earlier as planned and doing some training, plus cycling to Wok-Man (three yummiest meals (for me) for €5).
And my POLAR telling me: 268% - 2120kcal - 24167 steps - 15,2km :-)
(Humor, right, that´s what we all need.)
Well. I´ll hop on the bike anyways now...
OP is due tomorrow.

So He Was Doin` The Kevin
Pic-wise I´m still behind - the HEH (English site), the Herzogin Elisabeth Hospital, really tries to give patiens nice places to regain health, often with help from volunteers.
There is lots of arts, even practical pieces like these benches where I feel like a kid - see... even Ingo hardly reaches the ground!
I´m just reading about what a difference in healing a nice atmosphere can make - left the book in the car (and am in my PJs now, writing, no chance I wander the streets like this!), but there was an experiment with one patient having the view of a nice garden and one having the concrete parking lot.
Amazing what that can do!
So... sitting by the lille artificial mini-lake, looking at a happy, though rather strange...
... might do the trick, no?
Also if you´re more... scientifical in your arts you should find satisfaction:
Get reminded of what is precious in your life, it´s not all about a God:
Maybe to you it´s a ball, a hobby, a loved one... :-)
And if you don´t care for art at all... or maybe, like me, are allergic to the sun... take a book and heal here:
Ingo was warm yesterday, such a relief!
And the neighbour from hell, well, he´s still there, still making dumb points, but stopped using Ingo´s toilet - BIG yay.
The title?
Usually (and yesterday also) I leave work at 2 pm, colleague M stays the longest since he starts the latest - not yesterday, he took hours off.
And Teamleader T saw himself... "so, I´m doin` the Kevin today?!"
Me: ??
T: Home Alone (The German title is "Kevin – Allein zu Haus)".
Please, for the time being, feel free to skip calling me Aorta (not), it´s Kevin also...
OK, not funny.
But what would we do without humor and positive thinking, right?
Yours, Aorta (not) Kevin.

Adam & Eve / My Name Is Aorta (Not)
Yesterday was good fun and some progress!
Here we are in the hospital´s garden, yay!
Ewa was there, quite beautiful, huh?
Also Adam Ingo:
And yes, me, too, kinda...
@work: Customer M comes into our office to ask a question, sees me and goes:
"You´re lying in my ditch :-)"
Me: ???
M: "Yes! Everything is yellow!"
Me: ???!!!
D'oh!
I told M I didn´t get the name after the flower, my Father was an optometrist, that´s why he named me Iris.
Teamleader T without hesitation:
"Good thing he was no heart surgeon - you might´ve ended up being called 'Aorta'!"
I still have to laugh about that - I also admire how quick that came!
But we´re a quick office in many ways!
Before that happened I´d gotten up to go to the rubbish bin, turned around to go to my table whilst T came in to go the table beside mine.
My glass was empty, I grabbed it turned and said, I go get water, T grabbed his cup, turned, too to go for coffee and just that moment our M´s water was ready for tea and he left also.
We all three ended up in the kitchen quick and laughing.
I´m so thankful for those fun colleagues and customers!
Yours, Aorta Iris :-)

You´re Allowed To Look Friendly ;-)
Ingo convinced me to not use the cheap pic-booth but actually go to a local shop to get the pics for the ID-card done.
I went to the one I´ve been before - gee.... you´re not allowed to smile for the biometric pic - and obviously I looked really grim, LOL - the lady stopped her work, smiled at me and said... see title, "You´re Allowed To Look Friendly ;-)".
She made me look less "grey", huh?
(Why did the cam choose red, not green? Stronger color?)
After I paid I remembered the foil my Bro mentioned - you put it over the cam´s display and can see what you do even in sunlight - in this lille local shop they offered to bring it on for me - thankfully, ew, do I hate tricky jobs like this one!
(Playing around with my cheapy cam - in no sunlight at all ;-)... and yes, I know you can add those filters online as well, but, hey, testing is fun, no?)
Afterwards I went to another lille local shop - I guess the owner lives near our place. I got new Zimtis-thongs - love those, make your feet smell of cinnamon, always fresh and yummy :-)
In the evening I got an SMS from MIL - she´s got a smartphone now and uses WhatsApp.
I sms'ed back that it´s a good progress.
But I just got an old cell - no WhatsApp possible.
My MIL overtook me technically!
Thanks to my Aussie-HUAWEI, that only takes one card - that I use for internet (and that lies someplace cause I´m sick of having to charge it all the time (my ole cell lasts two weeks!), plus it´s so slow...)
We chatted via good ole yahoo-messenger instead.
Shoot, do I feel "old" ;-)
Ingo... That neighbour from hell is from deepest hell.
Loo... pooped on all over - again, brrr.
Back and front - how, just how??? And the cleaning lady, she cleans but once a day - poor one, ewww! In Freo prison we learned those prisoners who did the poo-jobs got privileges - these ladies (why is it always women btw?!!!) - do not, in the contrary!
Plus... they don´t dare to punture the cyst come Friday - too many cases, they need time for Ingo - delayed to Monday.
Yes, good they plan ahead (they´re afraid!) - bu-huu for another weekend in hosp!

Birdies (And A Chicken On The Board)
My muscles still hurt yesterday, plus I was frustrated. So I decided to take it easy.
I took my book when I got home and hopped on the swing - OK...
I slowly went down with my aching muscles - that describes it better. Or... true-er ;-)
My heart is a bit sour (my stomach not, though, scroll down!).
Naive-me thought I could take Ingo home yesterday - after all the last test was - as assumed - without indication.
Instead I found him grey, sheets up to the chin, shivering, nurse by his side taking his temps.
Fever.
They gave him potassium since they wanna puncture the cyst again (sorry, also my diary) - maybe that caused the fever?
Waited forever for the doc who could not answer my questions, as Ingo told me beforehand.
Another neighbour from hell. 10 times or more to the loo at night, taking some 3-4 loud minutes one way (I witnessed the process) - One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest comes to mind, huh (kid above right now... from hell, also).
(haha, spot the chicken?)
I´m really feeling so sorry for Ingo... Dunno if I was so strong?
I know, when you´re in the situation you take it. Still. Not fun.
He called later, though, sitting in the hall, feeling "great" - who knows, meds?
Chicken, btw.... third day I ate on that!
At least I made progress.
What would I have done before tongs?!
Available here since??? Not that long, we brought the first ones in from Australia - no kidding!
No recipe. I just put the chicken with chili and curry in coconut-oil in the pan till brown, threw in mung bean seeds and added the rest of coconut-milk.
I wouldn´t dare to invite you to this, but actually it was quite ok.
Crazy.
I take the "effort" to cook, but only when Ingo isn´t home.
Maybe also because he can eat only limited stuff?
Can this episode and happily, and soon?!

No Personal Contact But A Bit Hooray
Ingo locked himself away kinda, like these beautiful tulips.
Crazy.
Reckon he wasn´t allowed any food on Sunday and Monday not before the test.
Shortly before I ended work Ingo called and said it´s no use to come see him, he still waits to get tested, when he´s in it´ll take at least an hour, then at least another 30 minutes till I could see him.
Ummmm.
Hello?!
No food for such a long time?
Can´t they plan better or were there several emergencies?
And, as expected: Nothing found.
2 weeks for nothing in hosp.
So far.
At least I found some beautiful nature on the way home from the city.
Sooo tired yesterday, maybe from all the cleaning?
Getting old here ;-)
Some more positive things yesterday:
I think I lost my ID-Card, went to the city and... bureaucracy! So not!!! :-)
Outside was a sign saying "ID-Cards room#9, take ticket there" - it meant collect them there, not file the application or report the loss, which you have to do asap!
Number of peeps waiting for applying for/reporting anything: More than heaps.
Number of waiting to collect - one for names A-K.
Thankfully the lady, though not her job, reported for me :-)
Wonders happen!
(just taken the pic)
She also told me I need a new foto taken, can now be done at the machine there.
Again thankfully a ..? Turkish/Greek/? family took forever so I gave up - saved me from having the pic gotten taken with uncombed hair, a sunscreen face and a t-shirt ... rather not new.
Then at the "drugstore" I wanted to buy a new kohl, the thing I was trying for was stuck and I got real nice help, getting what I actually wanted.
Some days are good (for me).
Best of all: Called my doc to get to know how cancer prevention went - no diagnostic findings.
At least for me hooray, huh.
