Ingo Kept His Word
On March 9th last year we went - for the time being - a last time to the City of Perth and at a certain shop I found a cutie, but took a pic only since Ingo assumed it wouldn´t fit in the luggage.
It reminds me of when I was "forced" to touch a real one on our visit 2013 - the very softest I ever touched in my life!
When done packing we saw - it would have fitted indeed and Ingo said, I´ll get one before we return.
I forgot about that.
Ingo managed - thanks big, H & B for getting one and sending!
So Tuesday when returning from the hospital I got a note from the postie informing me a package for Ingo ("S...")? was taken by neighbour C.
C is a young Mum of two and for several years had accepted packages for all us working guys - so this very postie, a smart one (not the rule) - knew her.
C was late that day and hence as lucky coincidence was found by said "desperate" postie asking, "C, do you know an Ingo here?!"
Since Ingo is a lille blabbermouth and told me of the "surprise" beforehand I had told C I await a package from Australia, which helped solve the case, too :-)
Yes.
H didn´t know if I´m in the picture, didn´t recall Ingo´s rather complicated surname, didn´t want to use mine either (surpri-hise, right?) and braved for simply "Ingo"!
I wouldn´t have dared to, LOL, with 14 parties in the house - but, yay, I got one luck-bringing one for that bravery, right?
Even the croc knocked over in joy! ;-)
Awww, please meet...
Sorry, the cam obviously was just so fascinated by the beautiful eye, I didn´t get it focused on the text!
Awww, thanks Ingo for keeping your word - would it have been a better surprise if he not told me?
Dunno. I wouldn´t have told C, right?
And thanks to H & B for doing!
I will have to hide Nellie when the kids come to visit - they would WANT to keep that cutie!

Nellie is gorgeous Iris, that was very sweet of Ingo and as you say IF :) he had managed to keep it a surprise Nellie might have gone gone astray! You have more experience than me with koalas, I've never touched one :)
Yes, loads of luck here, huh? You really should go for it, Grace, it´s "just around the corner" - Caversham Wildlife Park :-)
What a lovely surprise Iris. I love koalas, so soft and cuddly. I actually brought 2 small ones (toys, not the real ones) for a friend.
Yes, Sami, they´re more a symbol of Australia for me than the roos, soooo soft, yet strong and oily their fur feels. Truly amazing. And so dang cute!
Aww cute!
