My Day Off

Since Thursday was Father´s Day (actually Ascension of Jesus) nearly everyone took Friday off, so did I (or we, but Ingo is still not 60%).

Ingo slept in the bed, which wasn´t good for him so he left very early - I slept in.

Then I finally did Ingo´s job, oh, how I hate it!

I also vacuumed loo, kitchen, living room, hall, bedroom, bathroom, wiped loo and kitchen (on my knees, only way to get the job done properly - the pre-owners had it done by cheap handicraftsmen, gah!).

Had a load of washing (I know. Parents have two each day!), hung the stuff, went recycling plastic, glass, paper.

Did grocery shopping part one, a small crate of nonalcoholic beer for Ingo (by foot!) and then....

I hoped for those yummy olives they had in Wolfsburg this week.

No such luck, but I came home with this:

Not as good as the regular stuff, but nearly half price!

On the way home I passed this sign...

And it was International No Diet Day, too!

But, well.
There is still bread, egg and cheese at home, right?

If all goes well we´ll have a very expensive December/January with loads of yum.

What I think is weird - I opened season:

No pain at all - do feet learn, did they remember the more unusual footwear?

Well.
Bet you say: Such a waste for a day off.

But, really.
I am thankful, as dumb as it sounds.

I am thankful I have the energy to be on my knees, to do all the cleaning, to be able to carry heavy stuff.
I am so darn thankful to be healthy.
It´s such a lesson to see your loved one suffer so much.

I said, my life-quality is low, also!

True.
But at least my body is fit and can do it all, right?

And there will be better times, too, right.

I know, you probably hoped for more Little-Niece-Stuff - is to come, I have to smile big just thinking of it.

I'm happy to see the flip flops come out Iris, get in some practise for later in the year :) I'm not all that fond of housework but when I do it it always feels fantastic and I always say 'I must do this more often' :)
P.s. going to see the specialist about my knee on Monday, it's pretty bad, four tendon tears and a fracture.. will be so happy when it's sorted!

Oh my goodness, Grace, that´s bad about your knee - fingers (and toes) crossed it´s not that bad!

Oh, I never thought I should do cleaning more often! Though, yes, it´s a nice feeling having everything clean.
Except the windows!
The next rain ruins it all anyways! Can´t remember when I cleaned them, really...

Oh, shoot, a fracture and you ran around with it for such a long time. Doctors...
