Wish I could join him sleeping, how long does it take to heal.
(Sing along, or play, if you can! 🎸🎺 - Henry stays in the background for you, just look)
Ingo made everything new, both hands and "second mouth" - what do people who live alone do in such a situation, run to the doc each day?!!
Or say it would be the other way round, even worse!
Ingo learned how to do a "dressing" every year as firefighter - training each and every year.
Hence he doesn´t have to think - he can just do.
My last training - which I did because I wanted to, not mandatory here in Germany! - was... 2018? In case of emergency... forget about me.
"Oh, hold still, wait, what do I need? How do I start? Can you hold this?...." You would not want me to take care of you, especially not in an emergency.
The training was but one day and very fast. I got a leaflet, suuuuper.
When Ingo fell unconscious I didn´t even had the power to drag him out of the door.
In the end I had to call 112 (now you know whom to call when being in Germany 😉).
You get "super-powers" when a loved one is in danger?
Forget about that, he was like an 80kg bag of potatoes, not a chance I had, Superman hid somewhere else.
Well, I kept dragging so much that he finally woke and his first words were - "get the kitchen towels and clean the floor from the blood". He fell on his nose, which broke.
He fell cause he took blood thinner (Marcumar/Warfine) and got up too quick. Blood thinner and bloody nose, hahaha...
How is it like in your place? First Aid training regularly, mandatory?
Here once when you get your driver´s license, other... just if you care...
Can´t sleep, bad dreams.
Woke from a typical "woman"-dream, oh, "LOL".
Drove endlessly with colleagues in a bus to a new home. And we all got lost in the hugest and weirdest house.
Again a dream in HD!! 🤣
Was I happy when I woke up! Sadly no Henry 🦁 in that dream but ...cute song, huh?
Bro called yesterday and sure was not prepared to my answer on his "how´re you doing?" 😂
Same goes for T - oh, the "joy" of these emojies... I got an 🤮 and he has horrible pictures in his head, "LOL".
Oh... 💩, how could that happen. Broke an arm and a foot (ages ago), both hurt, but face and hands hurts more.
To sweet dreams!
(I´m OK, really, but it also really hurts and I get bored. Wanted to sketch but... hand - outch... typing - obviously! - works)

At least you can still type and let us know how you are doing. I did a first aid course once about twenty years ago, one day only and I passed, but don't remember much except put the person in the recovery position but don't move them if you suspect broken bones or something like that.
I'm glad Ingo know what to do, you are in good hands. Healing takes time, getting impatient doesn't make it heal faster. The pain should get less day by day.
I love that song. It's on one of my playlists.
Oh, 20 years ago. I really do think we should get this yearly.
Once in Perth they had a free training. In the street. Sadly I wore a short skirt and was not willing, hence, to get on my knees and bend forward.
Oh, not funny.
Yes, Ingo does everything for me now, grocery-shopping, making dinner, all!
We had an "upper-body" to shortly (!) practice (!?) giving a heart massage.
OK, I know you need power for that. And that´s all I know.
I know.. oh, wait. where the ribs mend, two centimeters from that... or what? I need to get the leaflet and find the page with the description.
Better listen to Henry and sleep!
I'm so sorry about your fall! I hope you heal quickly and will soon be more comfortable. Very glad Ingo is there to provide the care you need.
Yes, sometimes you wish to be "sick" being taken care of like this - kidding. It hurts! I´ll be OK. ☺
...I hope that Ingo's training helps your speedy recovery.
Ask my lip and hands, Tom, it´s a no, rather.... I´ll live. :-)
I have first aid training, and renew it as needed. I have never needed to use it, but it's good to have it.
Wish there were more people like you.
That is a nice song. I like it. Wishing you a speedy recovery. Not easy to sleep with the pain. I wish I had proper first aid training.
Beautiful song, I was very very young but I remember well "The Lion sleeps tonight" when it became n° 1 in many countries thanks to The Tokens.
I made the First Aid Course 3 times (in person one month each) when I was in the Coast Guard.
Get well soon and .... sleep well despite the pain.
Thank goodness that Ingo knows what to do. We don't have to take first aid here but I did take a course in school years ago.
I have always like, "The Lion Sleeps Tonight." released in 1961. I have lots of training for human and animal aid. I hope that you recover fully very soon.
It makes it hard when you live alone. I know I had to change dressing on my eye when that rock cut it. Not the same, but still. You are SO lucky to have Ingo, dear.
I get kind of squeamish doing dressings and things on other people. Not on myself. Must be why I became a teacher and not a doctor or nurse. The worse was after my husband had surgery and I had to give him shots in his belly. You are lucky to have Ingo. Hope it was a good day. Hugs-Erika
I like that song. I didn't know Ingo was a firefighter. Sometime could you please blog about firefighters. And Thank him for his service
Coffee is on and stay safe
Oh boy, I know that feeling of not having superwoman strength to move a big man. My twice-as-big-as-me hubby used to pass out quite a bit and I could NEVER lift him, just had to twist him around to make him as comfy as possible until he regained consciousness. My limited first aid training certainly never helped in that situation. It was a nightmare.
Oh Iris, I'm sorry about your fall. I sure wouldn't be a lot of help but I'd try. I've never had training so it's just what you know -- or think you know. 911 (US number) is always at top of mind.
