Sign found in Subi - we were pretty surprised to find the slogan in German there!
And since Auntie knows best...
Did you know "Miele's first products were a cream separator, butter churn, and tub washing machine..." (Wiki)
Bär, don´t look at me, look into the cam! And yes, this is our Miele.
The Mielebär was white once, but he traveled with us - very sadly we left him in our cabin in Madely when we unexpectedly found this home away from home from him. Bet the guys there would´ve loved him - as did this lady in Perth CBD!
This is for Tom´s Signs2.
Henry 🦁
Addendum! River gave me a second thought... we have more of the family!
And yes... the plastic was white originally... 35 years of age show off now!

Miele is a famous brand. Mama cleaning up cute baby Henry.
Yes, but he prefers a wash in the Miele, according to his slightly annoyed look ;-)
I would have Miele if I could afford it. My current washing machine is Asko and so old (25) that it really was made in Sweden! These days the newer ones are made in China and I will never have one of those.
Yes, the Miele was no cheapie - but I think it will last forever! You reminded me...
I need to add something here!
My washing machine is a Miele. A good one! It's only my third washing machine in forty-three years. The previous one was also Miele
Yay to Miele! Reckon ours will last forever as it´s just the two of us, hence not much washing! It could easily work long for a family...
Microwave ovens seem to be the most reliable appliances of all. Ours was in the house when we bought it in 2003 and it is still going strong. I am not sure how old it was the but it was certainly not new.
They become family members, huh?
Good morning, cool signs loving Miele, can you hand wash him? loving Henry too.
Oh and yes if you can find the extra time-watch watercolor videos-they can actually be very relaxing depending on what you want to paint-I am just not all that good with it. and Rains' link takes you to the most current post-I posted early she will post late on wednesday some time and it is for thursdays the people are so nice there that link up
A 35 yr old micro and still working? Miele is an excellent product, indeed. I want a Miele Bär, too.
My Made in Canada dishwasher over 25 years old died. Nothing is made in Canada anymore. So now I wait for a new made in China model that won't last 25 years. Anyway it is still sitting on a freighter somewhere.
Good microwave and a wise woman in the 50's. -Christine cmlk79.blogspot.com
Wow your microwave giving great service!
Kathy, we did, but you never get the red "dirt" from Australia out... he has to live with it and is no less loved.
I´ll check on such watercolor-videos, just not today... was a long one.
I´ll also check Rain later again.

CJ, the Bär came with one series only, that´s why he is so special - can you imagine Ingo forgot the backpack with him on th etrain - nearly got a heart attack!!!
____
Jackie, sad we mostly get the cheap China-stuff!

Christine, yes to both!!

magiceye, yes, and I expect the same from the waching machine :-)
I've never heard of Miele brand but I I like the Miele bear. My first microwave cost more than my refrigerator. Back then, they were big, heavy, and EXPENSIVE. My first computer lasted for 10 years. Nothing off the shelf like Dell. Mine was built by a friend. This new one, too. I think it will do the same. sometimes name brands are only good for selling a product.
We have a friend who swears by German made products. They are well made and last long even if there prices are higher.
Miele is an old German really high quality product. Lasts forever. It´s good invested money (certainly as German I have to say this ;-)... but, no, it is really true).
Bill, yes. The British after WWII wanted to make Germany look bad by labeling products "made in Germany".
Mess with engineers ;-)
That's a great excerpt -- the wisdom from the 50's.
Yes. Should be normal by now, yet is still not really...
My microwave sees some use. Far more than my stove.
