Last Saturday we finally went to the train station, platform #4.
We certainly didn´t ride what you see in pic above.
After a while over the speaker: "platform #5"!!!
So everybody in panic went down the stairs, up the next and then it was seemingly an endless wait until.... (in my place FF gives errors since a few months, but the videos work in MS Edge, Opera...)
Glad Ingo is much taller than me and how ever he managed to climb on and keep filming! I needed both hands to cling on to!!
Ingo made another cool video.
More to come!
Have you ever been on such a train??
Ingo saw them for real coming into our hometown as "normal trains".

Cool train tell Ingo I enjoyed his video
Great you could watch it!
Have you see the second?
...of a bygone era.
Lovely videos.
I do remember riding trains driven by steam engines many many years ago! Used to sit at the window looking out and have faces coated with coal dust :)
Yes, I wouldn´t want that every day (nor once again).
magiceye, really??? WOW! I think this was diesel...
Wonderful train videos, good job by Ingo!
Yes, luckily I have him :-)
I've never been on a train like this -- it looks so much fun!
It was loud - but to see it was great, next Thursday you can shortly hear to "tooot" :-)
I have never been on a train like that. It looks like fun though.
It was interesting!
The wagons where nearly 100 years old and we had seen them in the museum at ALSTOM. We were proud for a ride. But for children of uneducated parents it's a great playground: Let's destroy! (Jump on the seats, lean out of the windows, littering and so on...)
"Milan, please dont do this.... Milan, please dont do that..." etc, whilst parents are glued to their cellphones.
I really wonder why they payed such a high price for that ticket then...
And to keep Milan mostly silent he bot brezeln, breadrolls etc, breadcrumbs everywhere, he was to fill the little rubbish case - this.is.deco!!!!
And two more kids in our backs that kicked us in the back.
Those old seats especially are for sitting!
Been on trains before but nne like that. Great videos!
Lovely vintage train and I enjoyed the videos. I've not been on one like this before, other than at a train museum!
Bill, glad you could see them - and liked them - must be Germany or my darn FF.

Spare Parts and Pics, nice, you, too, could see the videos - and enjoyed them.
Yes, train museum at ALSTOM :-) Hope to work for them again.
I remember steam trains with the noise and the soot flying back from the engine, you had to be careful and sit on the side the wind was blowing away from so you didn't get a dirty face, or you had to keep the windows shut. They were fun though. I like the videos, did I see you in the first one? Light red hair and glasses?
Wow, you can look quick!!! Yes, that´s me.
You got black faces?! Wow, I think this one was diesel...
