Still Us?

I am selfish. For once.
I have no black hair and my red dress has white dots (summer-Gurri), but I NEEDED this postcard for myself to keep on going.

And maybe this gives you a smile, too?
So many tips I folded as boats for staff on holidays.
And, see last post, seagulls always make me smile.

Siegfried - whom I was not allowed to call "uncle" (he felt old then), my Mom´s oldest Brother and boat engineer - would say, "little Iris, go on!" He´s gone since three years. Had Alzheimer´s but remembered me till the end. (Miss you). He always, even at my Mother´s (his Sister´s) grave called me "little" Iris.

Here is another:

"Play dumb for 5 minutes - saves you 1 hour of work".

Let me tell you:
Customer gives me .pdf. I have to edit that (.pdf is an end-format, actually).
Long story short: Got ABBYY from mE and mT overheard the trouble, by himself installed it, too, called me to say, "hey, you know how ABBYY works, let me tell you:..."
I didn´t even ask!
We are a TEAM - no one has to play dumb!!!! Not even 5 minutes. We are there for each other!
I sent him airfryer-tips, we exchange cooking-stuff. Got the idea from fK. Team.

I have a small cube here. And won´t touch it ;-)
(Ing = graduated engineer)
I SO... SO hope I can stay. Numbers are bad, 11% without project and I will join Tuesday. Or Wednesday. I feel so sick.

I would miss this. With COVID we started working from home and teams is a wonderful alternative. But little things go "wrong", call BINGO if you find yours.
I got this from "Day on the rail" and fK and I sat there laughing about this when we had the too sweet iced coffee.

Instead of "du hakst" I always ask, "do we play hide and seek again?" as she is often gone for secs - in her kitchen internet is working bad....

I love Schietwetter (shitty weather with rain) - I keep that card, too.
My Grandma always said this, oh, do I miss her. Ach-oi-ach-oi....

Even our police has to make an ice-cream point! Schietwetter? Pffft!
(BS = BraunSchweig, P = Police)

I try to look forward.
Project-manager, teamlead, teamlead-to-be, all on holiday. Oh, fK, too, but as she became my friend, still available.
I´ll finish my work, load it up... prepare "Lessons learned" for the teams.
And hope for the best.

Tough times again.
Ingo in his save heaven with his ever same project has no clue.
And, yes, the time-stamp is true. I cannot sleep out of sorrow.

You sound a bit down in the dumps - are you ok? It sounds like you work with a good team of people though.

I know it is easy to worry so much whenthe job slows down so I will hope for you that things get better and busy again. Ingo should understand by now and be at least a little supportive.

Sending you a hug: hold on, girl!

Frankly, I am not OK. I hope I at least keep the job and the peeps... Thank you for your comment. Really.

Ingo can not understand. He´s the king in his job, safe since ever. I think they work for Europe, or larger. Specialized. I am just a tiny "translator" by now (or so it feels).
Jobs Germany-wide go down atm. Or world-wide? Something is going wrong.
And also the time of year, fall/autumn, gets me down.
As I type a male "doctor" explains how to brush your teeth in an ad. Because... a woman would be too dumb. Maybe they are even right.
Another grey, dull day here again. A lonely one. I cannot even say something positive, sorry... Looking forward to watching Die Maus and the Fairy Tale - other I started "LOST". Haha, that brings it to the point ;-)

Thank you, Bertiebo. I still have your note on my PC, "May you LIVE all the days of your life" and I look at that often.
