We Stand... We Have To

My two cents: Ukraine was fighting hard for transparency, against corruption - to join the European Union.

Please name a country with no corruption, please do!!!

German politicians "finding" money in their pockets, Greek government taking money that was for the train system, all forgotten, many deaths. Italy "might" not be without sins, either, etc, etc.

To one man greed is so big and the EU so frightening, he attacked Ukraine. He throws Sons, Brothers, Fathers like food into Ukraine to get killed, he does not allow free media or free opinion.

Europe tries to help - yes, I admit, Germany started very lame, I am NOT proud of this!
Ingo and I did our best, supporting my Ukrainian customer... for nothing much in the end, but we acted FOR Ukraine.

I understand the United States are far away from the horror and maybe it´s best for them to go with the aggressor.

Wish we were ONE WORLD.
For those who are not into FB I´d like to share the following, and let me tell you: I am afraid.

Selenskyj getting accused for starting WW III was... what is he supposed to do?
"Oh, Mr. President, of course, take a big bunch of our minerals, and maybe just share and give our land to Put#n as well.".

Here is what I found on FB. And I fear these are empty words... but please, maybe check:

"After Trump's disgraceful behavior at the White House today with President Zelensky major world players just came out to defend Ukraine and Zelensky:

- Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk: “Dear Zelensky, dear Ukrainian friends, you are not alone.”

- President of Lithuania Gitanas Nausea: “Ukraine, you’ll never walk alone.”

- Denmark Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen: “Dear Zelensky, Denmark proudly stands with Ukraine and the Ukrainian people.”

- French President Emmanual Macron: “There is an aggressor: Russia. There is a people being aggressed: Ukraine. We were all right to help Ukraine and sanction Russia three years ago and to continue doing so. We, that’s the Americans, the Europeans, Canadians, Japanese, and many others. Thank you to all those who have helped and continue to do so. And respect to those who, from the beginning, have been fighting. Because they are fighting for their dignity, their independence, for their children, and for the security of Europe.”

- President of Moldova Maia Sandu: “The truth is simple. Russia invaded Ukraine. Russia is the aggressor. Ukraine defends its freedom—and ours. We stand with Ukraine.”

- Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson: “Sweden stands with Ukraine. You are not only fighting for your freedom but also for all of Europe’s. Slava Ukraini! ”

- Incoming German Chancellor Friedrich Mer: “Dear Volodymyr @zelenskyyua, we stand with #Ukraine in good and in testing times. We must never confuse aggressor and victim in this terrible war. (FM)”

- Croatia’s Prime Minister Andrej Plenković: “Croatia knows from its own experience that only a just peace can last. The Croatian Government stands firm in its belief that Ukraine needs such a peace - a peace that means sovereignty, territorial integrity, and a secure Europe.”

- Finland’s Prime Minister @PetteriOrpo: “Finland and the Finnish people stand firmly with Ukraine. We will continue our unwavering support and work towards a just and lasting peace.”

- Estonian Prime Minister Kristen Michal: “We stand united with @ZelenskyyUa and Ukraine in our fight for freedom. Always. Because it is right, not easy.”

- Ireland’s Deputy Prime Minister Simon Harris: “Ukraine is not to blame for this war brought about by Russia’s illegal invasion. We stand with Ukraine.“

- Latvia’s President Edgars Rinkevics: “Ukraine is a victim of the Russian aggression. It fights the war with the help from many friends and partners. We need to spare no effort for just and lasting peace. Diplomacy sometimes is the art of the impossible in difficult circumstances. Latvia stands with Ukraine”

- Prime Minister of the Netherlands Dick Schoof: ”The Netherlands supports Ukraine as firmly as ever. Now more than ever. We want a lasting peace and an end to the war of aggression started by Russia. For Ukraine and its people, and for Europe.”

- Prime Minister of Luxembourg Luc Friedsen: “Luxembourg stands with Ukraine. You are fighting for your freedom and a rules based international order. ”

The West stands with the heroic Zelensky. Trump sides with Putin. What has our nation become?"

LET US BE ONE WORLD FOR FREEDOM AND PEACE, PLEASE...

I never in my life thought I´ll be close to a war.
Just what does Put#n want???
Ukraine, Poland, Germany, on and on?

His people are hungry!!! For food. And I bet peace and FREEDOM, too.

One man, safe, warm and fed in his bunker...

NO NO NO NEVER. It's never good to go with the aggressor.
AND:Trump says that Ukraine was the aggressor and attacked Russia first. I am ashamed of the behaviour from those two Americans. Childish bullies.
Australia stands with Ukraine also.

P.S.
Also I am disappointed there is no message there from our Australian Prime Minister, though he did say on the TV news that Australia stands with Ukraine.

I think Trump is just too mighty (speaking of dictator?) - and also too childish to give in. A state that once was a protector is drifting apart, it seems.
I very much hope that together we can help Ukraine, also without America - and I do know that many an American would love to support, too.
Yes, a statement from Australia would´ve been good, too, I agree! Especially since Great Britain stood up.
It is frightening times. And sadly not just "America not helping" but Trump encouraging Putin, if indirectly...
When freedom, peace and democracy does not mean anything anymore we are truly lost...

Religion and nationalism are the killer tools used by the power crazy leaders of the world!
John Lennon's "Imagine" should be playing on the loop.

No, not far away. It's shameful that 80 years of the US commitments to its European allies was undone in 30 minutes. Maybe we get a new abbreviation. USSA Useless Soviet States of America.

It was so upsetting how Trump treated Zelensky a guest in his country -Christine cmlk79.blogspot.com

I so agree with you. And now I have an earworm.

Here they said it was 5 minutes before Selenskiy got thrown out.
Weee, USSA... sounds already like back to the USSR...

I reckon it was to impress Putin...

Trump wants to plunder Ukraine and not defend Ukraine. It's a bad deal.

Seems like now he´s out altogether.

I agree with every word you write here, Iris. I was so pleased he met with King Charles, too.

Iris Flavia said...

Yes, and I thought it was OK the way he was dressed, too! And it seems the King turns after his Mother, he took it well :-)

I am afraid for Europe, and ashamed of the US. My only hope is that our country comes to its senses, and soon.

Iris Flavia said...

Yes, I very, very much hope for help from your country still! And that Putin just let´s go. How many more is he willing to send to death? When will the Russians say: Enough?
