Let the adventure of your Birthday begin

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my Sin City stamps new post.
Usually I don't make too many cards, but sometimes the sentiment are just perfect for a card or two or even many.
So here is my Birthday card made in Mixed Media style with a lot of background stamping, hand cut stamped images, misting, heat embossing and more.
It's perfect for any gender as the colors can fit any person of any age. And as you know  the new adventure is not age connected. I began my crafty adventure when I was a pretty old lady and it was a success so far.

Supply list:
Sin City Stamps:
Steampunk'd Rubber stamps set- Collage, Hot air Balloon, Pocket watch
Steampunk Circus rubber stamps set- Happy Birthday, Let the adventure begin, Crowned clock

Other products used:
White cardstock
Stitched rectangles dies
Mists
Black pigmented ink
Clear embossing powder
Blue distress ink
Glaze
Metal charms
Chipboard hot air balloon
Heat gun
Stapler

And as usual- here is a full Step by step tutorial for you to follow if you want to make a similar card for you loved:

1. Die cut the thick white cardstock to 6*4 1/2'' rectangle using any stitched rectangle die. Mist the die cut cardstock with a mix of three green- blue- yellow mists. Try to let it be dry before the next color.

2. Stamp the hot air balloon and the clocks using Sin City stamps , black pigmented ink and heat emboss with clear embossing powder.

3. Make black cardstock matting for the stamped card panel and staple it on the corners.

4. Stamp the clock and two sentiments on a thick  white cardstock with the same pigmented ink and heat emboss the stamped piece. Hand cut the clock and the sentiment strips as shown.

5. Mist the hand cut images with yellow mist and when dry glue them over the card.

6. Stamp the part of Collage stamp image (the letter part mostly) over white chipboard hot balloon using the same heat embossing technique as on previous steps.
Paint the stamped chipboard with distress blue ink.

7.Adhere the stamped chipboard piece over the card. Add a few metal cogs and some clear glaze drops. Add the metal winged charm over the  stamped crown. Enjoy your card!

Vintage book with ARTplorations

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my second  May inspiration made for ARTplorations with their stencils and stamps.
This time I made a book cover/mini book cover (easy to add some binding system and to add pages inside).
I decided to stay in this vintage monochromatic mood and worked with gold- black and brown color only. Yes, the  flower is yellow, but this is just the last second add- on  to add more interest.
I used Square links stencil and a sentiment from Trendy Butterflies stamp set with DecoArt texture crackle paste and Mixed Media line fluid acrylics over the thick cardstock cover  where I glued an old book page. Everything else was heat embossed with clear embossing powder over the black painted  with DecoArt chipboards. The stamped word was covered with glaze inside the chipboard frame. The book corners are die cuts (MFT) and again heat embossed with black powder. Some washi tape pieces were added on the book spine.

Products used:
Square links stencil
Trendy butterflies stamps

And some web challenges- Letter B things- Book cover, Bird- for Emerald Creek

MMM- Flowers with stitching

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my new Mixed Media post made for
Mixed Media Mojo challenge blog.
This month we challenge you to make a Mixed Media piece with Flowers and the optional stitching. The  stitching can be Faux- like just  pen stitching and it's totally optional.
So here is my project- small 7*5'' canvas made with a cluster of flowers, metal sign and a lot of Sizzix die cuts glued over the black gesso over the canvas.

As the next step I just painted it - lots of Earth Safe Finishes products were used over this piece- Chalk It Up paints, Ann Butler's Iridescents and even Wax.
I made white paint Faux stitches just to fit the challenge at they look great over the painted canvas.
The texture was also added by heat embossing the wet paint and getting those small bubbles over the piece.
I hope that you like my canvas and now it's your turn!
Enter our challenge and you can be our Guest designer for the next month .

Happy, happy, happy everything card

I am still in this " me time" and making clean and simple, or not so clean and simple cards for web challenges.
So this one is for Art Impressions Home or House challenge primary, but then I added much more challenges that fit this card colors, techniques and mood.

I made background with stencils (Tando, Sweet Stamps), texture paste and watercolors (FB DMC Gelatos). Then I stamped Art Impressions  Bird house (it is home of birds and house too, so it fits the challenge) with black embossing powder . All around I stamped with small stamps from the same set  over watercolor wet cardstock. The chipboard bird was heat embossed with black powder and the sentiment is from Inspired by Stamping. Some sequins were my finished touches for this card.

I enter it to the following challenges:
 Art Impressions- Home and House
Bit o' green- Simon Says
Happy Little Stamper- Mixed Media challenge- use Water (colors)
STAMPlorations- Stamps and texture- I sure have both
CAS Mixed up challenge- stamping, watercolors and texture paste with stencil, heat embossing

Adorable- with Sparkle - Layout

It was quite awhile since I scrapped. I know. So one scrapbooking layout for February, made for some web challenges only  with just a little of my DT products.
This is my gorgeous grand daughter Neta a year and something ago. She is bigger now and still gorgeous.
I made  it with DCWV cardstocks ; chipboards from all different companies; some Prima flowers; a bit of bling from FWAB company.
The backround was made with Tim Holtz stencils- 3 of them and the crackle paste from DecoArts.
Paints are all Ann Butler's Iridescents from Earth Safe Finishes.
The sub title is Visible Image stamped  over the basic cardstock  and heat embossed with embossing glitter.

Filmstrip art with Rubber Dance

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my new post made with Rubber Dance gorgeous artistic stamps.
This film strip project was actually made for some print submission. I didn't make this issue with this piece, so it's just right to share it as I think it's pretty artistic one.
But then, on the other hand, my even bigger project made with Rubber Dance stamps for the same issue will be print published, so I feel very good with those submissions.
I already made a piece about Da Vinci's demons in the past. But now I moved to the ' let's make movie" art and as we are talking about a TV Show called " DA VINCI'S DEMONS" it fits perfectly, just as RD stamps from Da Vinci SET  fit this piece even more perfectly.
I made the stamped piece over the thick white cardstock and added the heat embossed film strips chipboards on the top.
I stamped  the main images inside the strip " windows" and added some background stamps on the top, on the bottom and in between.
All stamping was made  with clear embossing ink and black heat embossing. All painting over the images was made with a mix of distress inks.
I made this stickers  wording  and it  says: His demons- his art; My art- my movie"
A few metal pieces were added to make it fancy and connected to the time line of the artist.

All Rubber Dance stamps can be found in the SHOP!
Stamps used:
 DaVinci set
ATC BACKGROUNDS 1
Collage mix
Round in Circles
Vintage script

Merry Christmas mini album cover

Hello my dear crafty friends! Today I made an  easy and quick tutorial for you  with new IBS, just released stamp  Festive Greetings stamp set.
Inspired-by-Stamping-Festive-Greetings-Stamp-Set.png

I decided to make the mini album cover, but it's still 4*6'' size, so it can be done as a card.
Here are the steps to make this project:
1. Arrange a piece of Green burlap, a piece of Red and Green pin dot cardstock and a piece of All wrapped cardstock over the journal cover as shown.Heat emboss the edges of both cardstocks with Gold embossing powder , using VersMark ink.

2.  Paint the chipboard with red acrylic  paint and heat emboss with Clear embossing powder to get the shiny look.
3.Stamp the sentiment over the oval chipboard with red ink and arrange into the smaller painted frame over the cover. Mist it all with golden mist and let it dry.

4.Stamp the light bulbs bottom stamp with different pigmented inks and heat emboss with clear embossing powder.

5.Stamp the upper Light bulb stamp over the first layer with VersaMark ink and heat emboss with Gold powder. Hand cut all bulbs.

6.Arrange the hand cut bulbs over a piece of  jute with 3D foam glue dots. Add the pearls and cover each stamped piece- the sentiment too- with glaze. Let it dry and enjoy your album cover!
