Paris Fashion Week: Rue du Mail, Balmain

I love the color palette, the fabulous structures and materials in this collection.

Decarnin picked up where he left off last season. The shoulders of the glitzy embellished blazers were even more prominent, there were more studs and glitter - all in all a very predictable collection. But it works, it worked last season and so does it this season. Seeing that the body con glitter dresses were copied from NY to Paris I guess it was only logical that in a time of recession he wouldn't step out of his comfort zone. Especially given the huge commercial success. As much as it's nothing new I do really like the collection..it's very very sexy, very rock and extremely cool. What I most liked were the embellished slouchy pants - pure perfection <3!

Paris Fashion Week: Gareth Pugh, Balmain, Nina Ricci

Gareth Pugh kicked off Paris Fashion Week with a bang. No other designer would've been as capable of demonstrating the change from commerical Milan to visionary and innovative Paris as Gareth with this wonderful collection. All the clothes look like pieces of art and I'm already looking forward to seeing them in editorials.

Almost every fashion blogger has already raved about this collection so I'm not going to write much (and let the clothes speak for themselves). Only that I find all the looks incredibly hot and I'm madly truly deeply in love with those shoes. that's all. over and out. =P

Another fashion blogger favorite.
I fell in love with these light victorian inspired dresses immediately. What makes them even prettier to me is the contrast with the mesh tights and black shoes. It makes the dresses appear even more fragile and stand out.

Paris Fashion Week: Balmain, Christian Dior

Yay, Paris Fashion week has started! Paris is always my favorite..can't wait for Balenciaga, Chloé, Lacroix, Givenchy, Dries Van Noten, Hussein Chalayan, JPG, Labvin, Miu Miu...so many great shows in Paris <3

Balmain made a good start for Paris Fashion week. I have to say that I love almost every piece of this collection. It's so rock and roll yet glamorous.

I was quite disappointed with the Christian Dior show. It all looks kind of cheap and that make-up is just plain tacky. I picked out some pieces that I liked...still Galliano could do so much better >.<
