Botanical Blooms Thanks

Butterfly Thank You

Darnell is having another of her NBUS challenges, a great incentive to get out those "just had to have" but never used stuff I have in my stash.  The optional theme is to use coloured pencils on kraft, something I thought was only worth doing if you had good artists pencils, but I gave it a try with cheapies and made 2 cards and a mini set with very simple colouring . . . . and I think they came out ok  :  )


The first is a one layer card, something I very rarely do, using my NBUS Hero Arts Antique Background stamp.

Autumn Owl

An Autumn themed card with a cute little Sweet n Sassy owl called Opal.  This is a true snippets card using three strips of the patterned paper, the joins hidden by the lace trim, and Opal Owl printed on a snippet of Xpress-it card . . . trying to use up more of my bits and pieces before buying more (as if  : )

Thank You

A CAS Thank You card following the colour palette at Inkspirational Challenges, using some of my very old stash ie paper flower and red flatback flower centre, the bronze metal flower connector from my jewellery making days.  I still make jewellery, but cardmaking is now what I enjoy the most  : )

A Thank You card for Cardz TV Love In A Jar challenge.  I wasn't sure what to do for this then remembered I had the perfect patterned papers and heart ribbon  : )

Thank You

A one layer card using a letterpress technique where I inked the embossing folder with orange ink and ran it throught my Big Shot, then inked the embossing with some distress inks.


I used:  Darice Thank You With Flowers embossing folder, Memento Tangelo ink, Ranger Tim Holtz Distress Inks in Evergreen Bough and Shabby Shutters
