Posts

I've been slacking a lot on posting lately. But I really need to get back into posting regularly again, since our family has grown and there has been so many exciting things going on lately. Izzy has been with us since July 28th, 2011
Yesterday we asked Izzy how school was.  He said he met a new friend, a girl.  He said it was really crazy though, because I kept thinking what does she do?  What does she play when she's at home, and what does she like, it was really weird to think about.  Then he said and she looks at me really weird all the time, , when we asked how does she look, he smiled real wide and started fluttering his eyelashes.  He said she kind of creeped me out.  Dad said, get use to it buddy this is how girls are :)

One more makes Four!!

Lots of more wonderful news!! January of this year, John and I were searching the adoption websites like we have done previously and we came across this picture of a cute little 8 year old boy named Istolk.  We pulled up his information and read a little more about him and said "man he's a cutie".  but didn't do much more about it.  As the days went on I found myself thinking about him more and  more. A few weeks later I pulled up his picture again and showed it to John and asked him what he thought about sending in our paperwork.  His response, to my surprise was yeah, why not, let's get some more information.  So I sent an email to the social worker, who then requested our home study.  In February our home study was submitted to Utah State Dept. of Family Services.  and a little more information was forwarded to us about Istolk (Izzy).  I also spoke a few times with the Social Worker Annie and Andrea, asking lots of questions.  As ti...

A new year, a new beginning

In the past as the New Year approached I would often find myself with anxiety over what the coming year would bring.  I never enjoyed being this way but it was just something that I always had to deal with right after the Christmas Holidays.  But this year was different! 2010 has definitely been an eventful year. It started off with 3 months of pain from a 7 mm kidney stone that had made my body a permanent home.  I was facing surgery or worse possible kidney damage, when finally I found a reflexologist that I spent the afternoon with, she rubbed my feet for about an hour and I was in pure heaven :)  She suggested to me to take 6 hydrangea herbs 3x a day.  I started the day before my appointment and continued for 48 hours when I finally passed this large stone.  I couldn't help but scream with victory, almost giving John a heartattack thinking that there was something severely wrong.  But when I told him the news, we all went into the family room jump...

The funniest thing just happened!!  Jaidyn was singing "rolling in the deep" by Adele, Karaoke style and apparently there's a part in the song where they say sh**.  She was so into the song and accidentally blurted the word.  She started hysterically crying and said "I'm sorry, I'm so sorry" Big crocodile tears, all dad and I could do was laugh.  It was so darn cute and the fact that it bothered her so much was even cuter!!  She said "now I feel like such a bad person." She was so upset and I finally told her, if you feel that bad go in and say a prayer and ask Heavenly Father for forgiveness.  So she did, she came back red eye'd and said "I'm never doing that again, why do so many songs have such bad words in them?"  Isn't that the truth!! We actually had it videotaped, but she quickly erased it!!  Darn it, that would have been a super funny one to keep for when she got older.  HAHAHA

Another Attempt at an Update :)

It has been a very long time since I last wrote on our family blog and so I feel the need to update.  Last October our 3 little foster kiddo's, Luis, Luhani and Lana left our home.  It was a very sad day for us, and we miss them EVERY single day. To keep my mind occupied and busy,  I took up a job at the Elementary school working with the Pre-k kids as an Aide, and I am loving my job.  The schedule is perfect!  I work M/T and T/F.  Off on Wednesday and every 4th Friday, plus I'm on Green track (our school is year round) the same track Jaidyn is on, so I get to go to school with her as well as be out of school at the same time.  I am loving all of the time I am getting to spend with her.  And she loves having me at the school.  One day I asked her "what do you like better?  When mommy was a fostermom and was always home when you got there, or having mommy work at your school with you?"  And she said without any hesitation "having m...
