Black Rainbow Skirties

The twins skirts are done!  Lanolized and drying right now. Lots of ends to weave with these but I think they turned out cute!

“Mixed Blues” Shorties,knit on a Cascade 220 base is  another custom ready for tomorrow mail.

I think I have enough left for a small to medium pair of longies

And a pair of small shorties with a soft ruffle cuff. 

Shades of purples and greens. I dyed this yarn last summer and just got a chance to use it.

These should be listed in the Etsy shop this evening. 

Currently on the needles is a tunic for Marguerita I should have finished in the next day or so.

Fresh off the Needles…This Week

I love this mulberry tweed. Touches of black, white and camel.

These shorties were my first time knitting with Cestari wool & I have to say I LoVe It! It feels like a heavy cotton in your hands but is oh so soft. I understand it wears like peace fleece

Speaking of peace fleece, a pair of shorties using scraps of other colors to accent…I think they need a bit of embellishment on the leg but, not sure what yet…any ideas? A small sleep sack. I’ve had a few Moms asking for something to use with a preemie to newborn so I scaled down the pattern

A few others on the needles including longies and skirties for 2 sets of twins, a few pair of fingerless mitts and a striped pair of longies after that.

I learned my lesson trimming my hair (I always say that but yet still do it!)…I realized last time I trimmed it I’d given myself a mullet !!!! AND NO ONE SAID ANYTHING!!!!! So, yesterday morning I started trimming…….and chopped a big hunk out of the back. I’d like to claim it was lack of coffee to sharpen my focus but I’d already had 2 pots. To make matters worse, Mr. Fix!~It was taking me out to Supper for our anniversary….

I called a new salon that everyone has been raving over “ Big Hair Peace” Wow, Lisa did a great job. I have super fine hair which can’t be cut like thicker hair. It looks choppy if you do but, she did a wonderful job!

So now I have short hair…and kind of like it!

Snow Days & Knitting!

Well for once the weather man was right on the money! They called for 3-6 & we got 6 Then through the day we got a bit more

We ended up with almost 10 inches. More to come today & tomorrow! The road crews have done an awesome job keeping the highways and side roads plowed & drive-able. I love the crisp crunch sound of walking in snow, & the heavy silence that comes with it.

I did complete this pair of medium shorties & have them listed to the Etsy shop

A pair of Forest Fairy Carpi’s are also done all but weaving in the ends, I’ll have photos of those tomorrow. Right now I’m working on a pair of silly stripe customs. I love the color combinations Mama’s come up with!

I didn’t think you could wear bamboo needles out but it seems I have! 2 more pair are on the way! A bit of dishcloth knitting that never made it to the shop, Rachel said she could “take care of these” for me when she visited before Christmas!

Lots to catch up on, but I think I’ll do that tomorrow!

Wake Up Wednesday With Fresh Peppers!

Customs Update & Saturday Plans

Morning!

Just a quick update for Mallie.

The shorties body is completed & I'm grafting for the legs.

I hope/plan to have these ready for Mondays mail, Tuesday at the latest!

I'm very pleased with how these are turning out. I'm not a orange person but...

I started with the green as a contrast, it was blah, started with the blue, not quite right...

pulled out this pumpkin color and it works!

With all of our rain I did not get our plant haul from Lowes taken care of...

So that's my plan this morning

unless it rains again

Mr Isaiah is in Indy visiting Mr Hayden

& I know they both are lovin being together...

How will I ever get this done with out supervision!

Its ladies night here!

We had Ladies Day lunches with the women in our family for quite a while,

but we realized it limited those who could come.

So now we get together for Bunco once a month.

It gets crazy,

one smacked another for stealing her bunco...in a fun way...

the bruise only lasted a few days

A few cheat....I'm tellin ya they do.

Who gets 4 & 5 bunco's a night?

Mr. Fix it found some scraps of chicken wire

& we put up a modified fence

I know they are laughing at us......

because.....

They hadn't touched the pepper plants last night..

Apparently Pepper's are not good enough

or possibly the wrong variety

they left scraps....

on the ground.....

just layin there.

Hope he has a big fat belly ache!

Neighbor saw us out working & came over

I pointed out the rabbits had eaten their way through the garden

from his direction

so they were his

wayward

scavenging

pillaging

rabbits

He laughed

Told us there is a large family of them

living behind his wood pile....

They did not find the bean sprouts

With 4th of July coming up I figured I'd better get some

Clearing the Needles

So I still have flowers!

I plan to start the Quads Longies today but, I need to clear my needles first because yes,

the plan is to have all 4 working at the same time.

Just one last pair of large Peace Fleece Shorties (in Balkal Superior Green),

to finish this morning,

and then I can start!

These are the last 2 of 3 I had in the works.

Wake Up Wednesday & Customs Lineup

Partial skeins, leftovers from various projects, not enough for an entire project but to much to toss out.

But, these partial skeins are Kin to the Laundry.

Whats Up Wednesday!

Lots of "stuff" goin on around here!

I haven't shown many projects lately, as I've been working on an order. 3sets of the Antropologie dish cloths.

They are done. I just have to package up.

I have on the needles a few pair of shorties, here is a sneak peak of "Grappel" & "Bliss".

I should finish these in the next few days.

Were going camping this weekend & rain is in the forecast, (of course)

so I'm sure I'll have plenty of knitting time!

And to fulfill the sewing addiction..........

A friend of ours is expecting baby #3 & has decided to go with cloth diapers.

She is more than willing to use recycled fabrics but.....

I just had to pick up a few new cute prints

Ahem....did you notice the wooly sheep? How about the camping flannel...what self respecting R.V. Dealers wife could/would pass that one up! Might even make a few for Evie from that one!

And a few solids for inside the dipes. Well, they were on sale.
I figure if you have to do a dirty job you might as well have fun with it!

Didn't Last Long!

Last night I completed 2 more pair of Shorties.

A small pair of "Frogs n Snail Remix"

And a "Tropical Goodbye Remix"
Both were fun to make, mixing with coordinating colors. I listed them at 5pm, and both are now sold.

I was having marathon knitting session's to buildup inventory....So much for building up stock!

The remaining bits of Crew Girl Shorties striped. I picked up the light Olive shade as a coordinate. I wasn't sure at first how they would turn out but, I'm pretty pleased with these.

Happy Rose is HAPPY!

Sewing is put on hold while waiting for size labels. I know me and if I start cutting things out they will get jumbled. I prefer assembly line sewing as it much less time consuming. So...I have to wait, forever it seem!

But, I grabbed the needles and cast on a pair of "Sheepy Time Knits" Shorties.

Using 3ply Purewool, ummmm wonderfully soft!

This color is "Happy Rose"...it sure is bright, cheerful & very Happy!

After high 60's for the past few weeks, this cold snap is Mother Natures way of saying...NaNa nu NaNa! I need the cheerful Spring Pink!

Sure glad I waited to plant those Pansies!

I've been going through the painful/time sucking task of recreating all of my files & folders.

All my photos, patterns purchased & free gone in a blink. At this point I think I would feel a great deal of satisfaction using my old laptop for target practice!

Bad Blogger! But, I've been Knitting and Sewing!

I know, I'm a bad blogger! It's been crazy hectic around here, Spring Fever possibly?

Little Evie (AKA Porky) is outgrowing her diapers. We had bought quite a Smalls from Candi thinking they would last a few months....Miss Porky is drinking 4-5 oz every 2-3 hours! Can you say over 10 lbs?!?! Needless to saw we've been making new diapers as fast as we can.

I need to make about a dozen more & a few covers this week. We are recycling quite a few flannel sheets and shirts but I just had to make some girly diapers...a girl just has to have her cute Stuff

We have been having beautiful Spring days. Larry & I like to have coffee or a glass of tea outside together when he gets home in the evening. Isaiah joined us the other night. It was getting cool so Mama said to get a hat on.....he couldn't decide which he was supposed to wear so he took the safe route and wore BOTH!! Such a GUY already!

I have some knitting completed. Not as much as I'd wish but, my needles never can keep up with my plans. Anyone else have that problem?
