Time for Tea ...........

Hi all and happy Friday evening to you!  Well the weather has been a bit rubbish here in Norfolk today.  I'm telling myself that it is saving the good weather for when I go away to Cornwall!  Fingers crossed lol!

Anyway onto my make for today.  I finally got round to do some sewing and made a picture to go in my kitchen.   I used a Debbie Shore fabric die for the teapot which is really good as you can 6 layers at a time so I have more teapots all ready cut out.  I also used a normal die to cut the bunting which did just 1 layer of fabric but cut nice rounded edge bunting!   I hand embroidered the Time for Tea.   I'm really pleased with how this turned out.  I also made some cupcake pictures to go along with this one but I will show you them another day!

Time to get Nautical .................

Hi everyone we have a new challenge over at Crafty Ribbons and our theme for you this fortnight is 'Nautical'.   I loved this challenge as it made me think of summer which is just what I need with all this cold weather at the moment!  I decided to make a shopping bag for my DT creation and used some nautical fabric as well as some gorgeous sail boat ribbon which I used across the top of my bag.  I used some lovely red stripe ribbon for the mast of the boat and some blue striped ribbon for the flag at the top and finally finished off with some red and blue striped buttons and a red spotty button at the top of the mast.

This is a close up of the boat:

I embroided some little birds and waves, this was a bit like a card I didn't know when to stop! I'm really pleased with how it turned out though.

There is a wonderful prize for the winner of the challenge so I hope you will come and join in.

Thanks for stopping by.

The 12th Day of Christmas .................

Hi everyone I'm back with another crafty make today for the Crafty Ribbons 12 Days of Christmas event.  We have loads of fab sponsors today so if you have time join the link up please pop over and take a look.  This is a stocking I have made to put my Mum's presents in I think I need a bit more practise at sewing curves!  Let me know if you have any tips!

The gorgeous ribbon that I have used on my stocking is Vintage Christmas Past which is a lovely thick ribbon and just perfect for sewing projects.

My cough is starting to get a little better at least I don't feel like I want to cough all the time now so thanks to everyone that wished me well.

I do have one more post for tomorrow but it will be a scheduled one as I don't think I will get time to get near the computer on Christmas day!

So have a fab time everyone and thanks to all who stop by.

A Handbag!

Hi everyone I've no card to share with you today I have a handbag!  I went on a handbag workshop on Saturday which was my Christmas present from Will and this bag is the result!  The embroidey stitches are not perfect but I'm pleased with the results and I have learnt a new skill which I hope to put to good use again when I have practised a bit more.

I'm watching DIY SOS as I type this and oh it's so sad already! I never going to get through it without tears!

A present for mum ............

Hi everyone, I hope you are well. I just thought that I would share a present that I have made for my mum with you. I have been learning to use a sewing machine over the last few months and with the help of my father-in-law who used to be a tailor I have made this shopping bag for my mum for Christmas. I would love to know what you think to my bag so please leave a comment if you have time.
