Rudolph Day for April

 Rudolph Day is here!

25th of the month means it’s time to add some cards to our Christmas stash.

So, here goes using up some more backgrounds I’ve have for a few years, from a batch make 🙄

I layered that lovely tree die over my sparkly pasted trees,
added the truck from Gummiapan, loaded up with the tree and gifts

I used pens to make it shabby (perhaps too much 😂)

Next up that cool Santa, sat on a wall, cut from yet another pasted background
(I did make quite a few, so it’s my challenge to use them all 😉)

Santa was cut from card, snipped and layered.

Above I coloured the gifts with pens,

below I just did the “ribbon”

A piece of embossed white for the snowflake background.
This Santa was also cut from card, but I cut his trousers short and coloured his pink legs 😃

I also used up some old tea bag folding card blanks.

You can just about see the teapot.

It’s amazing how you can use up old stuff in a different way.

The bits from the aperture were used for sentiments etc.

Happy Rudolph Day!

52cct ink blending

Hello, just popping by with an extra mid week post to help you get ahead with your Christmas cards.

The 52 Christmas card throwdown challenge this week is ink blending.

I used a snowflake embossing folder winter snow from Stampin’ Up! for my backdrop,

which I then blended with blue ink, to highlight the detail.

I die cut the snow using never before used Greetery snowdrift, the swirl detail gives extra texture.

The scene was fussy cut from some retired paper and tucked behind the snow drift.

I’m entering….52cct challenge

and

Inkspirational challenge #292 (embossed background)

Can you handle the pressure (anything goes embossing folder)

Thanks for stopping by, I really appreciate your visits and comments.

Tickled pink, with a touch of mint green and grey

Hello, a twofer today, first up some new- to -me dies had their first outing.

A lovely trellis is the background for this beautiful cone flower (one of my favourite flowers)

It’s a clean and simple hello card.

Silver grey die cuts, mint stalk, and rose pink flower

Next, part of Let’s go shopping from Stampin’ Up! I stamped the shop,

and added paper pieces behind the windows and door

a canopy die cut in blushing bride, all mounted onto matching cardstock.

and some greenery, in pear pizazz plus a triple stamped hello in basic gray

I’m entering the following challenges, from which I’ve had lots of inspiration:

Uniko Birthday

Today I'm joining the 10 year celebration of Uniko

I used my Stamparatus so I could hold the work down with a magnet,
then using small brushes inked some bright colours through their stencil,
and I masked off a few parts as I just wanted to use part of it.

I then wanted to scatter some enamel dots for interest,
but instead used them as part of the design
and to hide some places where ink had crept under and blurred the lines.

It's not my best inking effort, but I was still pleased with the result.
I finished with a bold Uniko sentiment

I also noticed a new challenge at Freshly made sketches

this gave me the idea for my NeverBeforeUsed Uniko stencil, so I'm also joining in

NBUS Challenge #35

And because I decided to get inky I'm entering
