EARLY REVIEW: Everything For Us by M. Leighton

The bad boys of M. Leighton's novels Down to You and Up to Me, are back. Marissa had everything a girl could ask for until a case of mistaken identity lands her right into the lap of the sexiest, most dangerous man she’s ever met.
Title: Everything For Us (Bad Boys #3)
Author: M. Leighton
Publication Date: September 3, 2013

When it comes to passion this hot, it’s all or nothing.

Olivia Townsend’s wealthy cousin Marissa had everything a girl could ask for—a great job, a privileged life, and all the friends she wanted. Or, at least, all the friends money could buy. But one case of mistaken identity has turned her privileged world upside down.

An abduction gone wrong lands her right in the lap of the sexiest, most dangerous man she’s ever met. To Marissa, he’s an enigma, but one to whom she’s irresistibly, inexplicably drawn.

With him comes a new world of freedom and passion, of dark shadows and dangerous secrets, a world where nothing is what it seems—except for the blind passion that Marissa can’t escape—or maybe even survive.

Review:

Everything For Us is by far my favorite Bad Boys novel of them all! I adore Cash and Olivia, but Marissa and Nash’s story exceed all my expectations. The story line of Down To You and Up To Me is carried on through Everything For Us, but this time we get Nash and Marissa’s POV.  The passion, risk, and danger are all higher than ever, and M. Leighton does an amazing job of bringing these two extremely complicated characters to life.

Nash has some serious issues to work through, and his tough exterior, rough edges, and refusal to let himself feel sucked me in to his pain and self-conflict. I felt as though I was right there beside him as he struggled through his feelings while fighting the fight of his life. I knew he was full of rage and dying for revenge, but getting to see all this through is eyes was just fascinating. To see just how deeply affected he was by everything that happened in the past was amazing. Another bonus, we get to see a very significant past event from his perspective; and let me tell you, it’s a game changer!

As for Marissa, I really did not like her in books 1 and 2. She’s a cold-hearted bitch! But she grew on me in Everything For Us, because the changes her character undergoes are pretty impressive. Getting things from her perspective was interesting to say the least. I literally felt the change in her even though this is the first time we get her perspective. I think the author did an amazing job making Marissa relatable and believable. There were plenty of times I wanted to curl up and cry with her. But she’s one tough cookie.

The one thing I absolutely can’t leave out of this review is the sex! I mean, Cash and Olivia were pretty intense, but Nash … OMG! *fans self* The passion in this book is intense and oh so hot! I kind of wanted Nash to rip open my bathroom door and … well… you’ll have to read the book to see where that goes. *blushes* Let’s say it’s all very… sexy. And not at all tame or boring. While Nash and Cash are twins, they certainly have their own styles… even in the bedroom, ahem, or bathroom. Nash is definitely a panty soaker and you’ll be dying to spend the entire day between the pages with him.

So, if you haven’t read Down To You and Up To Me yet, you better get on it! This whole series is a new favorite of mine, but Everything For Us is one you really don’t want to miss.

BAD BOYS Series by M. Leighton - Review

Down to You (The Bad Boys #1)
The scorching tale of one girl, two brothers and a love triangle…that’s not. Olivia Townsend is nothing special. She’s just a girl working her way through college so she can return home to help her father run his business. She’s determined not to be the second woman in his life to abandon him, even if it means putting her own life on hold. To Olivia, it’s clear what she must do. Plain and simple. Black and white. But clear becomes complicated when she meets Cash and Nash Davenport. They’re brothers. Twins.

Cash is everything she’s always wanted in a guy. He’s a dangerous, sexy bad boy who wants her in his bed at any cost. He turns her insides to mush and, with just one kiss, makes her forget why he’s no good for her. Nash is everything she’s ever needed in a guy. He’s successful, responsible and intensely passionate. But he’s taken. Very taken, by none other than Marissa, Liv’s rich, beautiful cousin. That doesn’t stop Olivia from melting every time he looks at her, though. With just one touch, he makes her forget why they can never be together.

Black and white turns to shades of gray when Olivia discovers the boys are hiding something, something that should make her run as far and as fast as she can. But it’s too late to run. Olivia’s already involved. And in love. With both of them. Both brothers make her heart tremble. Both brothers set her body on fire. She wants them both. And they want her. How will she ever choose between them?

Happily ever after doesn’t come easy. But for love, it’s always worth the fight.

Olivia finds bliss unlike any she’s ever known in Cash’s arms. He sets her skin on fire and melts her heart right inside her chest. Unfortunately, their happily ever after is short-lived when a shadow from Cash’s past threatens to turn their world upside down.

Dangerous people from his father’s world have discovered that Cash holds information that could put them away for a very long time. And they’re willing to do anything—and hurt anybody—to get it back. Giving it up means Cash must choose between the life of his father and the life of Olivia.

Having nearly overcome her wariness of bad boys, Olivia’s trust is shaken when this new threat arises. Now she finds that Cash is not only a danger to her heart, but his family has associations that are a danger to her life as well. She soon discovers that there are some situations in life where trust is a girl’s only option. And this is one of them. If she’s to live, she must trust Cash with her life. But to Olivia, that’s much, much easier than letting go and trusting him with her heart.

Review
This series is absolutely fantastic! Both books are packed with excitement, twists, and of course, sex. The story is extremely intense and exciting, and the author carries these elements throughout both books. The story builds on itself in a natural way that keeps the reader’s interest and doesn’t get repetitive.

The best part about this series so far is definitely the characters. First off, I love Olivia. I love her inner turmoil and the fight she puts up with herself. There are so many aspects of her past that factor into her initial reaction to Cash and Nash, but her character builds, learns and develops throughout.

Cash is my favorite character by far. I think he’s the most complicated by far and most interesting. There is a major twist in book one that reveals just how complex he is, and in book two he character really begins to shine and grow. I’m really looking forward to how he grows in the future.

The sex in these books is, well, totally hot! The scenes are well written and believable, which is always important with sex scenes. The author does an amazing job writing the dirt. And makes it pretty darn incredible!

Everything For Us, Bad Boys book 3, is coming in September and I’ll have an early review for you all very, very soon. I can’t wait to see what the author has in store for Cash, Olivia and the gang.
